If it wasn't for this clip, the AWP rebalancing for Classic Offensive wouldn't have went the same route There used to be no landing accuracy penalty and no transition in accuracy when zooming. Kinda sad CS:GO / CS2 nerfed any kind of action other than standing still while firing.

More games need to take inspiration from Quake's impact effects. It's so simple, a mesh rotated to face the normal of the impacted surface. Can always add particles and all afterwards on top of it, but this way you get a sharp visual.

Always kills me that Ubisoft with a 2008 game like Far Cry 2 has this level of interactivity and fidelity. It runs on a toaster and still looks relatively decent. They have water reflections with the two camera technique, at the cost that water must always be at the same height.

Revisiting BF1, I think it did a few things better than BF6 in terms of how it plays. No doubt the movement is much snappier in BF6 let's be clear. Prone for instance was awful before. But mounting guns on walls / floors for instance was effortless in BF1.
