Kaspa's Toccata hard fork is live on mainnet kaspa:native... just hard forked. Toccata activated on mainnet today, the biggest upgrade in Kaspa's history. It turns a high-speed payments chain into a programmable Layer 1: native tokens, covenants, and zero-knowledge proof verification at the base layer. Toccata lays the groundwork, it doesn't ship the apps. The race now is what gets built on top.show more

KASPA'S 2026 PIVOT: PAYMENTS RAIL TO PROGRAMMABLE L1 Kaspa... is shifting categories this year. The proof-of-work BlockDAG that runs at 10 blocks per second now has a roadmap pushing it from a fast payments chain into a programmable base layer. Igra Network went live in March as a decentralized EVM execution layer on top of Kaspa, hitting 3,000 transactions per second with 15 protocols deployed at launch and a clean Sigma Prime audit. KAS wraps 1:1 to iKAS as the network's gas token. The Toccata hard fork follows in June. It bundles native KRC-20 tokens, covenants, and zero-knowledge verification opcodes into Layer 1 through a new scripting language called SilverScript. $KAS trades around $0.036 with a $985 million market cap, up 12% on the week. Roughly 95% of the 28.7 billion supply is already mined. DAGKnight consensus is queued for Q3.show more

The BIS, Bundesbank, HKMA, and commercial banks across three... continents have been building #tokenisation infrastructure on separate tracks, and their published work points to the same three-layer architecture for #digitalmoney. 1. Central bank money at the base for settlement finality 2. Tokenised deposits in the middle for programmable commercial payments 3. Public blockchain and stablecoins at the top for liquidity and market access 4. Underpinning all three is a horizontal #interoperability layer that makes them work as a coherent system rather than three separate silos. We've mapped that convergence into a framework for any bank building tokenisation infrastructure this year, covering what each layer does, where the industry stands on deployment, and what to prioritise before committing capital to any single component. #TokenisedDeposits #Stablecoinsshow more
