A powerful message emerged from Kulgam today. The overwhelming... participation in the Nasha Mukt Padyatra led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha was not merely about a march against drugs. It reflected something far deeper—a growing public determination to protect the future of Jammu & Kashmir from the menace of narco-terrorism. For years, drugs have threatened families, destroyed young lives and weakened communities. But the scenes witnessed today showed that society is no longer willing to remain silent. Young people, elders, students, community leaders and ordinary citizens came together with a shared purpose: to reclaim their future. What makes this movement significant is that it is no longer confined to government institutions. It is gradually becoming a people's campaign. The fight against drugs is being embraced as a social responsibility, not just a law enforcement challenge. Under the leadership of Manoj Sinha, Jammu & Kashmir is witnessing a new model of public participation where citizens themselves are becoming stakeholders in change. The message from Kulgam is clear. The people of Jammu & Kashmir have chosen hope over addiction, opportunity over despair and progress over narco-terror. #JKAgainstNarcoTerrorshow more

Some moments capture the spirit of an entire society.... The scenes from Kulgam today did exactly that. The Nasha Mukt Padyatra led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha brought together thousands of citizens who chose to stand on the side of awareness, responsibility and positive change. The fight against drugs is not merely about preventing addiction. It is about protecting dreams, preserving families and creating opportunities for future generations. Every young person who joins this movement becomes a messenger of hope. Every citizen who participates becomes a stakeholder in building a stronger Jammu & Kashmir. The growing public support for anti-drug initiatives reflects a deeper transformation taking place across the Union Territory. Communities are becoming more aware, more engaged and more determined to reject the forces that seek to exploit vulnerable youth. The message is unmistakable. Jammu & Kashmir is not defined by its challenges. It is defined by the courage of its people to overcome them. #JKAgainstNarcoTerrorshow more

The significance of LG Manoj Sinha's Nasha Mukt Jammu... & Kashmir Abhiyaan lies not just in the numbers, but in the message it has sent across the Union Territory. For decades, drugs silently destroyed families, ruined young lives and provided a funding channel for anti-national forces. Today, that silence has been broken. From Jammu to Ganderbal, LG Manoj Sinha has mobilized citizens, students, mothers, teachers and community leaders into a united front against narco-terrorism. Having personally visited every district in the Kashmir Valley and marched alongside the people, he has transformed the fight against drugs into a grassroots movement. The campaign's achievements in just 55 days are unprecedented—over 1,000 FIRs, more than 1,100 drug smugglers arrested, over 100 properties attached and hundreds of licences cancelled. Yet its larger success lies in changing public consciousness. LG Manoj Sinha has repeatedly warned that drug trafficking is not merely a criminal enterprise but a direct threat to national security, with narcotics profits often used to fuel terrorism. His unwavering commitment to both strict action against smugglers and rehabilitation for victims is creating a new framework where enforcement, awareness and social responsibility work together to secure the future of Jammu & Kashmir. #JKFightsDrugs #JKDefeatsDrugsshow more

LG Manoj Sinha's Nasha Mukti campaign has evolved into... one of the largest people's movements in Jammu & Kashmir. After personally visiting every district in the Kashmir Valley and joining padyatras across the region, LG Manoj Sinha declared that a historic movement against narco-terrorism has risen. The results speak for themselves: in just 55 days, 1,036 FIRs have been registered, 1,128 drug smugglers arrested, more than 100 properties attached, nearly 700 driving licences cancelled and recommendations made to revoke 130 passports. While strict action is being taken against narco-terrorists, rehabilitation and new opportunities are also being extended to those trapped in addiction. A strong message has gone out—drug peddlers and narco-terrorists will find no refuge in Jammu & Kashmir. #JKFightsDrugs #JKDefeatsDrugsshow more

For a Western observer, it is extremely difficult to... understand what is happening in Iran. How is it possible that just a few weeks after the massacre of tens of thousands, young people risk their lives and begin a new wave of protests? The answer to this question is simple: These people do not want to live under the rule of a theocratic dictatorship because they have learned that they have no future. They can never find a job, have a family, or live a normal life. It is difficult to understand, but being alive or dead is not much different for them. Thousands commit suicide every year. After realizing that they share the same goal, they have now gathered together to bring about change. They will either change their future or embrace death. It is sad but true.show more

It is shameful to hear that the Congress party... is asking, "Kashmir se kya waasta hai?" I would like to remind the Congress party that J&K is an integral part of India, and every state and citizen has the right over J&K, just as the people of J&K have the right over the rest of India. The Congress doesn’t know that many brave sons of Rajasthan have sacrificed their lives for peace and security in Kashmir. But it is not merely the fault of the Congress leaders. It is mostly the Italian culture of the Congress party that is to blame for not understanding the very idea of India. Such statements hurt every patriotic citizen who cares for the unity and integrity of the nation. People will certainly answer Congress. And for the kind information of the Congress, it was not Article 371, but Article 370, that was abrogated by the Modi government. However, it is only expected of Congress to make such horrendous mistakes. Such blunders made by it have haunted our nation for decades now.show more

Something powerful is happening in America… and it isn’t... coming from Washington. It’s happening in a church parking lot in Pensacola. People are walking forward… laying their addictions down… and surrendering their lives to Jesus Christ. Drugs… vapes… weed… pills… All thrown onto the stage as people respond to the call to make Jesus the Lord of their life. No government program. No political speech. Just the transforming power of Christ changing hearts in real time. This is what revival looks like. Not theory… not talk… but men and women publicly turning away from the things destroying their lives and running toward The Lord. This is the hope for America. When hearts change… families change. When families change… communities change. And when communities change… a nation can be restored. Revival is rising. #LetUsWorship #SilentMajoritySpeaks #AStoneGrooveshow more

🚨 THE MOOD OF BRITAIN IS HARDENING For months,... the political establishment insisted the anger was isolated. A fringe issue. A handful of voices online. Now protests are appearing in multiple cities and the conversation is no longer confined to Belfast. Something is changing. Many people believe their concerns about immigration, public safety, community cohesion and the future direction of the country have been ignored for too long. Worse still, many feel they have been dismissed as racists, extremists or troublemakers simply for raising those concerns. That approach may be backfiring. Because every time politicians attack the people raising concerns instead of addressing the concerns themselves, public trust erodes a little further. The greatest danger facing the government is not the protests. It is the growing belief among millions of people that nobody in power is listening. History shows that when trust in institutions begins to collapse, events can move much faster than politicians expect. The question is whether those in power recognise what is happening before the gap between the governing class and the governed becomes even wider. Because the mood of the country is changing. And increasingly, people are no longer afraid to say so.show more

Azad Kashmir's total population is 4 million, and millions... of people reside abroad or in other provinces of Pakistan. There are more than 100,000 government employees in Azad Kashmir. The number of Grade 16 to 22 government employees exceeds 18,000; these are employees who work only within Azad Kashmir. Employees serving in the Pakistan Army, Islamabad, and other provinces and institutions are separate from this. A total of 80,000 people from Azad Kashmir are employed in the security forces. If those living abroad and in other parts of Pakistan are excluded, approximately 22% of Kashmir's people are government employees. The total budget of the Azad Kashmir government is 310 billion rupees, of which only 153 billion comes from state resources, while the remaining 157 billion rupees are provided by the Government of Pakistan. Out of this budget, 261 billion rupees are spent on salaries. Last year, after protests, the Government of Pakistan further reduced the price of flour provided to the citizens of Azad Kashmir and also significantly lowered the cost of subsidized electricity. The question is: how much industry has the business community established in Azad Kashmir? How many citizens have they provided jobs to? What notable contributions have they made to the state's agricultural development? Which goods have they made cheaper, and by how much? Another question is: besides running heaters and electric rods with cheap electricity, what facilities have been provided to the people of the state? There are demands to abolish the seats allocated to Kashmiri refugees residing in Pakistan, but this issue is not so simple that it can be explained through a few social media posts. After escaping the massacres in Jammu and the subsequent aggression, thousands of Kashmiris were forced to seek refuge in different areas of Pakistan. The free state (the base camp) allocated seats and employment quotas to provide them with an identity. But now India, which seeks to strip Kashmiris of their identity, is running an organized campaign against these seats through deceptive slogans, with the Action Committee and the business community becoming its fuel. The people of Azad Kashmir produce 100,000 tons of wheat. However, 500,000 tons of wheat are consumed in Azad Kashmir. The remaining 400,000 tons, supplied from Punjab, are sold in Azad Kashmir at subsidized rates cheaper than in Punjab. Any Kashmiri can receive treatment at military units, advanced health centers, or CMHs located along the Line of Control. The Awami/Joint Action Committee is in fact neither truly public nor does it contain any real action, because it consists of violent protesters who have come onto the streets only for chaos and propaganda.show more

This video reflects a deeper political reality in Puntland... today. For years, many Puntlanders have felt increasingly disappointed, ignored, and betrayed by the Federal Government of Somalia. Promises were made, responsibilities were neglected, and trust has slowly been broken. The action of this Puntland soldier removing the Federal Republic of Somalia flag from his shoulder and keeping only the Puntland State flag is not just a personal choice. It is a powerful political symbol. It represents the growing frustration, loss of confidence, and rejection of a federal system that many Puntlanders feel no longer represents them or protects their interests. This is not about hatred or conflict. It is about a people who feel unheard, a region that feels sidelined, and a message that says trust must be earned, not imposed. In 2026, this moment shows clearly that the relationship between Puntland and the federal leadership is facing a serious crisis of confidence.show more

The people of Azad Jammu & Kashmir have delivered... a powerful message through an apparent widespread boycott of the elections. Many voters allege that, as with Pakistan's 8 February 2024 general election, the electoral process has been influenced by military-backed interference and rigging. Public confidence cannot be restored without transparency. The international community should urgently call for independent election observers and a credible assessment of the integrity of the electoral process. The right to vote freely is a fundamental democratic principle, not a privilege to be denied. Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office @EUEOMshow more

Today a group of Muslims prayed next to the... Ministry of Defence, facing the Iraq and Afghanistan memorial. As I have said before, choosing to pray in this way in public is a political act. It is a social statement and, yes, it is an act of domination. Anybody who understands Islamism understands that the domination of public spaces is part of the modus operandi. It is done so Islamists can show who is in charge - and to show other Muslims and the wider public that the authorities will bend to their will. There is quite obviously no need to pray here. The decision to do so is symbolic and pointed. It is not welcome. We have freedom of religion in this country, which is why there are mosques. But we are not a Muslim country and this is not welcome. It should be stopped.show more

🚨 DIRECT FROM IRAN: "Arm us." The Iranian people... are demanding the weapons to defend themselves against a brutal regime, and the videos keep coming. Ordinary citizens inside Iran are sending a steady stream of these videos directly to me, risking everything to break through the silence. This person is completely exposed, standing on a public sidewalk in broad daylight right next to active traffic. Holding an illegal sign like this is punishable by death, but they are doing it anyway. Look closely at the paper. Written in broken English, it reads "please army us." That grammatical error is exactly what makes this so undeniably real. This is not a polished PR campaign. It is a raw, unedited plea from an ordinary citizen on the street. For the millions they represent, this is no longer a political debate. It is a tactical necessity for survival. Peaceful protest against live ammunition has proven impossible. They aren't asking for foreign boots on the ground. They are asking for the basic means to defend themselves against a systemic slaughter. They risked their life to bypass the blackouts and deliver this proof straight from the streets. More people need to amplify their calls. Do not let the regime bury their bravery.show more

Pakistan's oppression of occupied #Kashmir is worsening. As the... world's attention is largely fixated on the war between Israel and Hamas in the Middle East, unrest has erupted in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir in South Asia. Tensions are rising in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) as the Pakistani government has been deploying troops from Punjab Province to suppress the imminent protests in the region due May 11. The protests aim to address the Kashmiri people's economic, social and political problems that Pakistan's government has failed to solve. The United Kashmir People's National Party (UKPNP) and the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) have issued warnings to the government of Pakistan against the use of any force against protestors. The warnings have apparently been ignored as Pakistan mobilized its troops to the area, leading to more protests. Historical background info: "In 1947, the Princely State of Jammu and Kashmir became part of the Republic of #India. Shortly thereafter, Pakistani armed forces and Pashtun tribesmen invaded the area, forcing the largest Kashmiri political party to approve the accession. Indian forces were deployed to counter the attacks by Pakistan. In 1948, the UN Security Council passed Resolution 47 requiring all Pakistani military personnel to withdraw from the region before a plebiscite—which would have confirmed the people’s wishes to join India—could be called. Instead of this Pakistan increased its military presence, and no plebiscite was held. In the areas of Kashmir which remained outside of India, Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, 41,000 Hindu families were forced to flee from Pashtun tribesmen. "The historic region of Kashmir has a total area of 85,807 sq. miles and is now divided between three countries. Pakistan occupies approximately 30,160 sq. miles, known as (PoK) and the Northern Areas." Clashes between Pakistani troops and Kashmiri locals are expected to further escalate. With unprecedented civic energy, Bulgarians have issued a clear... call for democracy and justice. Over 150,000 protested in Sofia alone, 500,000 in total in a country with 6,5 millions people (the largest mobilization in decades) with demonstrations across Europe as citizens stand firmly against corruption and demand accountability. Their message is unmistakable: an end to corruption, a renewed commitment to the rule of law, and a fairer future. We cannot allow democratic backsliding anywhere.
