Adding more context on PJ Washington with Luka Dončić.... In 89 shared minutes in the 2024-25 season, the Washington-Doncic-Grimes lineup posted a strong +9.2 net rating (121.1 OFF / 111.9 DEF). Both forwards handled point of attack defence and wing stopping effectively before the Mavs trades. If the Lakers land PJ, pairing him and Quentin Grimes as starters would lock down the perimeter. Walker Kessler on the backline would complete a switch-heavy defensive unit with real potential.show more

MR. IG🐻Prescription Play #2🏀 Ja Morant o11.5 Reb+Ast (+100)... #GrindCity vs #LakeShow Film. Data. Narratives. What a great play. Show love if you want another play❤️ Lets start with the data because this man is averaging 16.8 Potential Assists across his last 9 games with 25+ minutes. We have also hammered the idea of the Lakers being a horrendous transition defense this season, and we know Ja Morant is at his most fun when he gets out in transition. Expect some easy assists on those plays here. Now as far as the Lakers, they don't hide their strategy of "you are either shooting or passing but you are not driving." While that last matchup was the one that started the drama with his comments about the coaches chewing him out mid-game, it did look like he was figuring out how to read it in the 2nd half. The Grizzlies would put Ja Morant on the wing in an ISO position, with everyone cleared out to the other side. The Lakers would have the big show EARLY help on the near side block. Ja Morant would then read the help of the big man and the weakside corner If the big and corner were helping early, he would drive and find the corner. If the big was helping and the corner wasn't, he would find the big on the opposite block. If the big AND the corner were waiting for him to drive before showing help, he would force the switch onto a lesser defender and put the Lakers into a position where they had to show help. And as far as the rebounding, Ja Morant's defensive role is simple: When there is a corner camper, matchup with the corner camper. With no Reaves, and not matching up on Luka/Lebron, we know this will be the case and should keep him in uncontested weakside rebounding position on any deep shot attempts. This is why he has had 11+ Rebound Chances in 3/4 against the Lakers.show more

A Wing And A Prayer Before Jump Doors: The... Insane "Wing-Slide" Technique of the 1930s. The Soviet Tupolev TB-3, a legendary heavy bomber that served as the cradle for the Soviet VDV (Airborne Forces) long before modern safety standards existed, and the unique and harrowing deployment method that predates the standardized jump doors and static lines we know today. Before the invention of dedicated troop transport aircraft with side doors, Soviet strategists had to improvise. The paratroopers would climb out of the open cockpits and hatches of the Tupolev TB-3 while in flight. They would then gingerly walk along the corrugated metal fuselage-battling the slipstream-to position themselves on the broad roots of the wings. At the pilot's signal, they would simply slide off the trailing edge of the wing, pulling their ripcords manually as they fell away. This method, often performed at air shows for high-ranking officials (including Stalin), was a terrifying display of courage and a testament to the "human factor" in early Soviet doctrine.show more

Hungary’s opposition leader Peter Magyar said an alleged Budapest–Moscow... backchannel should be investigated as “treason,” after The Washington Post reported Hungary has for years shared detailed EU Council information with Russia, adding that Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto “appears to be colluding with Russia, thereby betraying Hungarian and European interests.” Magyar, who is leading in the polls ahead of the April 12 election, added: “If confirmed, this would amount to treason, which carries a potential life sentence. A future TISZA government will immediately investigate the matter.”show more

Kudos to Kevin Kisner getting the REAL issue when... it comes to the modern golf ball… While discussing the ball Ray Floyd used to win the 1986 U.S. Open at Shinnecock, he correctly references SPIN more than SPEED. Yes, the modern ball flys WAY farther, but the easiest fix would be to mandate more spin on the ball. The worst part of the ball traveling insane distances is that, because of no real spin, the mishits do not go off line NEARLY as much as they used to. If the spin returned, hitting a 350 yard drive would carry with it the HUGE risk of a mishit heading for deep trouble, even bringing many out of bounds back into play. As a result, not only would hitting a driver create far more drama than it currently does, it would cause most players to self regulate by hitting 3-woods and irons off the tee to keep the ball in play. This would effectively solve the distance problem because it would cause significantly longer shots to be played into the greens. A half eaten apple, the cross that was placed... on their clothes, and their name that was finally carved together. #TicketToHeavenEP4 ☆ That apple reminds me of the apple in Adam and Eve story. It's like a symbolic way of how they gave in to something that was considered as 'forbidden' ☆ The cross. I saw the hesitation in Tanrak's eyes when he took it off. It didn't feel like he removed it simply because he was afraid of losing it. Instead, it was as if guilt was gnawing at him, like if he kept it on, he would feel the heavy weight of God watching him. Taking it off was like the choice to let go of that guilt and judgment ☆ The names on the tree. Carving their names into the tree feels like their permanent vow. As if a physical mark that Tanrak chose Barth, for now. 🚨 UNACCEPTABLE SCENES IN PORTUGUESE FOOTBALL 😡 Clear and... shocking footage shows FC Porto’s Alberto Costa spitting on Famalicão’s Sorriso while the opponent was on the ground after a foul in the 86th minute. A clear act of complete indiscipline and total lack of sportsmanship. This is NOT football. This shames the game. The Primeira Liga needs to wake up urgently. This season has been marked by controversy after controversy, impunity and chaos both on and off the pitch. The Disciplinary Council can no longer look the other way. Exemplary punishment must be handed out immediately — exactly as it would be for any other player. Enough with the “grey areas”. Fair play and respect for the opponent have to become the rule again. ⚽show more

As we enter New Year 2025, it's reported that... lighting struck the Capitol and the Washington Monument in DC, while in NYC, the Empire State building and the new World Trade Center were also struck. FOUR lighting strikes in one night! Coincidence? Perhaps. But consider that New York is representative of the business and financial world, and Washington DC is the seat of the US government. Is God telling us a big shake-up may be coming soon in both the business and political realms? Interestingly, president-elect Trump is from both worlds. He is the former New York real estate business tycoon and reality TV star turned president who has promised to reform business as usual in Washington as he returns to the presidency. The lighting may signify this kind of earthly shakeup, or nothing at all. Or perhaps it is the omen of something far more consequential, a spiritual shakeup God is planning for America and elsewhere, to arouse many from slumber. We pay much attention to the state of the economy and politics, but are we ready if Christ should return in 2025 as Judge and King, to reckon with us all? Scripture tells us, "Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth." Colossians 3:2 Now that's wisdom from above!show more

Mikhail Tolstykh (call sign "Givi"), the legendary commander of... the Somalia Battalion in the Donbass conflict. His unyielding resolve, leadership, and devotion to the defense of Donbass made him a living Legend ! Here are some quotes from the man himself : 1. On his commitment to the land: *"When the time comes, I will die on my land and for my land."* — From an interview with RIA Novosti, reflecting his readiness for ultimate sacrifice in the fight for Donbass (2016). 2. On leadership and staying with his men: *"The most important thing is to remain human, a true commander, and always be with the guys. They know that if it's hard for them, I'll always be nearby and find a way out of any situation."* — Spoken about his Somalia Battalion during a conversation on unit morale, as reported by REN TV (2016). 3. On the unbreakable spirit of Donbass: *"No one has ever been able to bring Donbass to its knees, and no one ever will. The people here are too strong."* — Quoted in a discussion on the resilience of the region, later referenced by DPR leader Denis Pushilin in a memorial tribute (2017, originally from 2015 interview). 4. On true heroism: *"The true heroes are our people."* — A recurring phrase Givi used in speeches and interviews to honor the civilians and fighters of Donbass, as recalled in tributes by his comrades (2015–2016). 5. On his possessions and priorities: *"I have a car that Alexander Vladimirovich Zakharchenko gave me in May this year, and nothing more. What I have is my battalion."* — From a personal reflection on his life and loyalties during the war, shared in an RIA Novosti profile (2016).show more

More Batteries vs. Submarines Now that the German TKMS... and the French Naval Group have massively adopted lithium-ion batteries, following the Japanese lead, this is consolidating as a major trend, just as I had predicted. The next stage will be solid-state batteries, and at that point, we'll essentially be discussing only speed and submerged endurance in comparison to nuclear submarines. Since solid-state batteries are lighter, they will allow for a greater number to be installed, freeing up space for more powerful propulsion systems. Naval Group has already sold a version of the Scorpène to Indonesia capable of remaining submerged for up to 80 days. That's with lithium-ion batteries. Imagine what this could exceed, more than double, with solid-state batteries. In practical terms, a more powerful engine combined with solid-state batteries in the proportions that Naval Group is now using in the Scorpène would provide three times the speed, meaning something like 10–15 knots at constant speed while maintaining around 50 days submerged. This would give a range of 40,000–50,000 km, requiring less than one hour on the surface for a fast recharge. For speeds above 25 knots, simply adding more batteries and a better engine would suffice, as the solid-state system has high power output. All this at 15–20% of the cost of a nuclear submarine. And if the choice is to power the batteries with a micro-reactor, it would cost 25–35% of a conventional nuclear one. Then someone will say: “But a nuclear sub can stay submerged for years.” That makes no difference at all, since even with around 60 days of endurance, the crew still needs to surface to resupply provisions. The big advantages remain: battery-powered subs are superior in silence, and speed can be addressed with larger battery packs.show more

While many around the league don’t expect any linebackers... to be drafted tonight, if there is one, it certainly could be #TexasAM’s Edgerrin Cooper. Cooper is the most complete LB in the 2024 draft class. He’s shown to be: 1️⃣an elite athlete 2️⃣a consistent and impactful run defender 3️⃣a capable and efficient blitzer, and 4️⃣able to use his size and bend to disrupt in pass protection As a run defender, he finished with an 87.6 PFF grade, highest among any expected draft linebackers in this year’s draft class. That includes 15 TFLs or no gain plays. As you can see (🎥), his downhill force plus balance and control allows him to consistently win in the run game As a pass rusher, he had 7 sacks on the year, 4 of which came from playing on the line of scrimmage. When lined up on the line of scrimmage, he generated a pressure on over 30% of his pass rush snaps. Elite ‼️ And in coverage, he finished with a top-10 coverage grade int eh country last season (per PFF College) among LBs lined up in the box. He’s able to use his length and bend, along with developed vision and timing to disrupt plays from the box. Couple all of that with a 4.51 forty time and would-be impressive athletic testing numbers if he was 100% for the draft process (why he wasn’t able to officially go every day in practice at East-West Shrine Bowl), and it’s hard to ignore his NFL starting potential. There’s a real chance he goes in late round one, but if he’s there on Day 2, he may not only be one of, if not the, first linebacker drafted, but may be one of the first players taken on Day 2 of the draft. #ShrineBowlWhosNextshow more

UPDATE: Helen Mirren Supports Tom Hardy Amid On-Set Behavior... Rumors While MobLand drama was unfolding, reports emerged that Tom Hardy was facing potential firing over unprofessional behavior on set — including keeping co-stars like Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan waiting for hours in his trailer. A resurfaced video from last November also showed Mirren being verbally attacked in East London, with a man calling her an “evil Zionist b*tch.” At the Taormina Film Festival, Mirren addressed both situations. She strongly supported her co-star: “Love you now and always” and said she would work with him again “absolutely… in a f*cking heartbeat.” She praised Hardy as “the most amazing actor” and a “very special person.” On the attack, she shared her views on Israel: “I believe in the existence of Israel” while expressing devastation over certain actions and questioning how past traumas could be repeated. Watch the difference in the practice swings and the... shot. See the head dip & knee buckle? Have seen this from Lexi before. Can’t remember which major it was, but it was last season in the closing stages of the final round and tight lies. It’s a classic move from those who have anxiety with their pitching and are trying to help the ball in the air. I know it well. I had the chipping / pitching yips for a few years and was a complete mess. Head moving down & leaning back to the right shifts the low point of the club to an earlier spot. Club hits the ground too early. When you look at great pitchers they are usually shifting a little left, and slightly extending up after impact. Not dipping down and back. Imagine standing side on to the target and tossing to the landing spot with your trail arm. The dip down and knee buckle is completely at odds with how you would move. I am confident an expert short game coach could really help her with this. I reckon she is in the horrors mentally standing over these shots. No disrespect to Lexi, she’s obviously a great player. Yes, I’m just an armchair fan sitting on my couch 😎.show more

GM Lot of speculation from the community on the... photo I posted showing a container with the "Tether Energy" logo. "Is the site real?", questioned some tabloid. Did Paolo really photoshopped the logo on a container? Did Paolo really start to eat cabbages and vegetables? Well, let's start from the beginning. Tether, as announced since few months, has started Tether Energy ⚡️. TE is growing partnerships around the world with local companies, providing capital, infrastructure support, development and general expertise to build renewable energy production and #bitcoin mining sites. TE is choosing partners that have solid local connections, outstanding and passionate personnel and that demonstrate deep respect for the environment. At Tether we believe that #bitcoin mining has to be as geographically decentralized as possible, with the goal of reducing the current heavy concentration in specific countries. Is the photo real? Yes. That photo shows one of the control rooms in one of the sites that is currently being finalized and will start soon operations. Where? In LATAM. We tend to not share exact locations to avoid personnel harassment, a valid concern given the amount of detractors obsessed with Tether. You can almost hear some of them screaming: "NOOOOOOOO if you don't tell us the address, zip code, surname of the cow that is eating the grass nearby, then it's not real!!!!!" Then why the logo was overimpressed? We thought that the photo would have been shared on newspapers so the team wanted to brand it. And in fact this is exactly what happened. Moreover, putting gigantic Tether logos would not be great from physical privacy of the site point of view. It has been quite entertaining to follow the "GOTCHA!!" moment of some paid groups, desperately hoping to have found the holy grail of their anti-Tether theories, as if companies would not usually put their logos on things they build. "NOOOOOOOO!!! If it's not real paint then the entire thing does not exist!!!" So does it make it less real? No. It's really happening. The site is progressing well, everyone in the team is super excited and working around the clock to start operations in the next few weeks. Can you show something more? Sure, here is the 3D design of how the mining site will look like in a few monthsshow more

The clauses, in plain language: 1) DISARM FIRST (Art. 4): Lebanon commits to the "complete and verified disarmament" of every non-state armed group on its soil, Hezbollah unnamed but unmistakable, before anything is given back. 2) WITHDRAWAL IS THE REWARD (Art. 2, 5): The IDF only "progressively redeploys" out of two pilot zones, governed by a Security Annex that DOESN'T EVEN EXIST YET, and Israel's "no territorial ambitions" pledge is conditioned entirely on a disarmament IT ALONE gets to certify as complete. 3) SOVEREIGNTY ON PAPER (Art. 6): Lebanon holds the "exclusive sovereign authority" over war and peace, a clause built to outlaw the resistance by name without naming it. 4) AID ON A LEASH (Art. 9, 11): U.S. money to the Lebanese army is "strictly conditioned on verifiable milestones" and oversight. Beirut also pledges to choke off all funds to non-state groups, then keep reconstruction money out of their hands entirely. 5) RECONSTRUCTION, SEPARATELY GATED (Art. 10): Washington will "rally partners" to rebuild Lebanon, but on a SEPARATE track from the conditioned aid, leverage held in reserve. 6) THE TELL (Art. 14): The whole framework closes with both governments expressing "deep appreciation for the vision and leadership of President Donald J.
