Also! You can now also simplify your complex vector... paths and reduce nodes with the newly added simplify vector tool in Figma Draw! I was super stoked to demo this yesterday on the Release Notes live stream!show more

Offset vector paths now available in Figma Draw. You... can now take any flattened vector path and offset it to expand or retract it. It even lets you round out those sharp edges.show more

Figma does have some really good vector editing tools... & the Shape Builder also seems to have some magic baked in? Watch how I only edit one letter and it gets rids of similar issues on the other letters.show more

In Figma Design you can easily cut up a... shape with a path using the shape builder tool, without moving over to draw! 🤯 Just draw the path you want to use to "Cut." Just select your object and path and press "M," and click your regions. #FigmaTipshow more

Yeah this tablet is pretty much done. Glad I... ordered a new one Yesterday. But yeah there won't be much art until I get it in about a week...Hopefully. Well I guess I could do vector and mouse stuff, and I can still draw on the phone.show more

You can now see live cursors of people on... Only those active in the last 30 seconds are visible. You can also chat to others using /, just like in Figma. No benefit to this, other than pure vibes/fun.show more

Added some extra things. You can now change the... stroke width on the pen tool. It also has a subtle animation going to and from the centre of the tool tray when different tools are selected. Wireframe Design Studioshow more

You can now swap, move, and arrange panes in... Warp. Alongside this release, you'll also get the ability to navigate through Warp Drive with keyboard shortcuts.show more

you can now order forced fire. fire through smoke,... suppress a road, or order the 280mm howitzer to fire on a building! But the enemy can also do the same to you weapons and explosions also kick up dust now, which slightly reduce accuracyshow more

The macOS unobtrusive update feature is now shipped to... tip releases (aka. OpenAI Demogate). Demo shows a real update! Beyond visuals, also mproved functionality, e.g. tip updates will now link to a GH compare view between your commit and the latest in lieu of release notes.show more

I vibe coded a visual PDF search app with... ColQwen2. This is how it works: - Store PDF files as images in a Weaviate AI Database vector database - Embed images and text with a multimodal late-interaction model (ColQwen2) - Generate token-wise (and summed) similarity maps to highlight image patches with high similarity Now I need to refactor the messy vibe-coded project. In the meantime, you can check out the Notebook this demo is based on to try it out yourself:show more

Elevating your legs can help improve circulation by reducing... pressure in the leg veins and redirecting blood flow back toward your heart. This can also help with lymphatic drainage and fluid buildup to help reduce leg swelling.show more

Compare hero paths with ease! You can now view... the differences between various hero paths more easily at the Crossroads and the Inn, in both Kingdoms and Confessions game modes. This is one of the many community requested features we added in the Secrets of the Coven update!show more

"The Hammer" by Clutch Markets is officially live! What... does this mean? $K9 is now officially live for trading on Solana Official Token Address: 5je5ondjVJcHjWz2v4mLZn7PsQGr47XQFjFTfrtCu1ox You can also now stake your Pixel Pups $K9 tokens in "The Hammer" and earn yield.show more

🎉 MIDI will be presented at #CVPR2025! We’ve dropped... the code + demo for everyone to play with. Now, with our MV-Adapter, you can also create textures for the generated 3D scenes. Check the code and demo below!show more

You can create amazing animations with the new @Figma... Motion features — and now, you can showcase them with realistic video mockups. Present your motion designs in context with the Artboard Mockups plugin and bring your animations to life.show more

Today I'm launching a very early release of MLX... Model Manager ( A Swift package for quickly and easily adding LLM/VLMs with just a couple of lines of code into your MacOS/iOS applications for local and private inferencing. This is built on the amazing work of the MLX team & what they have done with MLX Model Manager unifies the work they have done with MLXLLM as well as MLXVLM into one package with added abstractions to simplify the usage. I've also added support for Google's new Paligemma2 Vision Model ( You can see a demonstration in the video below! Huge shoutout to Awni Hannun for the creation of MLX, David Koski on leading the charge for MLXVLM and Prince Canuma for the creation of MLX-VLM. Three massive pillars in the MLX community among many others.show more

Vector Database by Hand ✍️ Vector databases are revolutionizing... how we search and analyze complex data. They have become the backbone of Retrieval Augmented Generation (#RAG). How do vector databases work? [1] Given ↳ A dataset of three sentences, each has 3 words (or tokens) ↳ In practice, a dataset may contain millions or billions of sentences. The max number of tokens may be tens of thousands (e.g., 32,768 mistral-7b). Process "how are you" [2] 🟨 Word Embeddings ↳ For each word, look up corresponding word embedding vector from a table of 22 vectors, where 22 is the vocabulary size. ↳ In practice, the vocabulary size can be tens of thousands. The word embedding dimensions are in the thousands (e.g., 1024, 4096) [3] 🟩 Encoding ↳ Feed the sequence of word embeddings to an encoder to obtain a sequence of feature vectors, one per word. ↳ Here, the encoder is a simple one layer perceptron (linear layer + ReLU) ↳ In practice, the encoder is a transformer or one of its many variants. [4] 🟩 Mean Pooling ↳ Merge the sequence of feature vectors into a single vector using "mean pooling" which is to average across the columns. ↳ The result is a single vector. We often call it "text embeddings" or "sentence embeddings." ↳ Other pooling techniques are possible, such as CLS. But mean pooling is the most common. [5] 🟦 Indexing ↳ Reduce the dimensions of the text embedding vector by a projection matrix. The reduction rate is 50% (4->2). ↳ In practice, the values in this projection matrix is much more random. ↳ The purpose is similar to that of hashing, which is to obtain a short representation to allow faster comparison and retrieval. ↳ The resulting dimension-reduced index vector is saved in the vector storage. [6] Process "who are you" ↳ Repeat [2]-[5] [7] Process "who am I" ↳ Repeat [2]-[5] Now we have indexed our dataset in the vector database. [8] 🟥 Query: "am I you" ↳ Repeat [2]-[5] ↳ The result is a 2-d query vector. [9] 🟥 Dot Products ↳ Take dot product between the query vector and database vectors. They are all 2-d. ↳ The purpose is to use dot product to estimate similarity. ↳ By transposing the query vector, this step becomes a matrix multiplication. [10] 🟥 Nearest Neighbor ↳ Find the largest dot product by linear scan. ↳ The sentence with the highest dot product is "who am I" ↳ In practice, because scanning billions of vectors is slow, we use an Approximate Nearest Neighbor (ANN) algorithm like the Hierarchical Navigable Small Worlds (HNSW).show more

I updated my 3D Camera asset and added a... "fisheye" option, so you can take fisheye pics! I also added a world prefab to render 3D pics in your VRChat world. Technically, the fisheye pics can also be used as matcaps. Not ideal since not true 180° pics, but it kinda works.show more

I take my notes like this. I created a... small script using Claude Code. You just go "jn " and it inserts to YYYY-MM-DD markdown file with a timestamp. Also you can type "jn" to open up all your notes on neovim, and see them by date and timestamp. Less cognitive overload. No need to find names for notes.show more
