🇪🇸 The Ukrainian goalkeeper, Trunin, scored a goal with... his head against Real Madrid in the final seconds, moving the team into the champions league. In added time to added time, they led 3-2 but needed another goal or their Champions League campaign would be over. A free-kick provided them with one last chance and goalkeeper Trubin was sent forward. He then made it possible with the Hail Mary last second goal. This sends team, Benfica, into the Champions League playoffs and denying Real Madrid a direct spot in the round of 16.show more

Drove on the Ganga Expressway today from Prayagraj to... Noida and something bothered me. The road is smooth, wide and genuinely impressive. But in several stretches, there are no guardrails on the right side. A guard rail can protect vehicles from jumping into another lane in the event of tyre bursts, sleepy drivers, sudden swerves and human mistakes. It won’t take much money and can save lives.show more

It was TREASON in plain sight. 🫧 John Kerry... ratted out Israeli covert operations in Syria directly to the Iranian foreign minister. Leaked audio from Iran’s own FM Javad Zarif caught John Kerry *admitting* he secretly briefed Tehran on OVER 200 Israeli airstrikes in Syria during the Obama-era nuclear talks. Kerry handing America’s sworn enemy classified intel on our closest ally? The allegations were quickly denounced. Kerry denied wrongdoing and the media vaporized reports, but the betrayal still speaks for itself. As Iran escalates again in 2026, we’re still paying the price for Barack Obama’s Deep State “diplomacy.” NEVER FORGET.show more

This is hard to watch! Two passenger planes full... of people 😳 The FAA says they were at a safe distance and it was just the camera angle, but watching that emphasizes the importance of good air traffic control! The EU passed a regulation that literally bars American companies from providing air traffic control services in Europe, but we’re over here possibly handing our ATC modernization contracts to European firms? In what world does that make sense? Time to put America first again!show more

🚨🇮🇷 IRANIAN CITY OF YASUJ JOINS NATIONWIDE REVOLT: PEOPLE... CHANT “FREEDOM, FREEDOM!” The city of Yasuj erupted in ptest today, with demonstrators flooding the streets chanting “Azadi, Azadi” which translates to, “Freedom, Freedom.” This marks yet another city rising up in what’s quickly becoming a full-blown national uprising across Iran, from Khorramabad to Moshiriyeh, and now deep into southwestern Iran. The chants are getting louder, the fear barrier thinner, and the regime's grip visibly shakier. There were no political slogans, parties, or armed factions, only everyday Iranians demanding something the regime has denied them for over 40 years: freedom. And the most powerful weapon the people have right now? Their voices. The regime wants the world to think this is under control, but the streets of Iran are telling a very different story. Strait of Hormuz the last 24 hours: fighting time.... Well, it looks like the Strait is closed again. IRGC fired at two ships, one of them is sinking, so there's that. The US tried to get another group of tankers in, and two were hit. The two VLCCs made it in. Incredible that these tanker owners are fearless. As the escalation continues, tankers will likely transit without AIS on, but they ultimately turn it back on after they pass, so we will see them. Only time will tell how this conflict ends, but for now, the inbound VLCCs are completely insufficient to reduce the production shut-in. I have included the video from MarineTraffic and the tanker list below.show more

Ross, Liam’s cousin via IG “My young cousin. I've... been trying to write something for a few days now, it still doesn't feel real and probably never will. I was lucky enough to spend a lot of time with you over the last few months, we'd become close again like the kids we were growing up together. Late night songwriting sessions, making plans to tour and travel, and practicing stupid impressions - we didn't need much to have a good time. It's devastating to know I won't see you again or wake up to a late night FaceTime call (when you'd forget about the time difference) but we made a lot of memories which I'll hold on to forever. From being 13 years old learning Maroon 5 songs to bumping into you backstage at music festivals, we were always just a couple of kids hanging out. Regardless of what you were going through, and the demons you were fighting, you always wanted to help others and wanted everyone to 'win together. Hopefully the world will remember this above everything else. Not everyone got to know the boy behind the popstar, outside of stadiums and studios, but I count myself very lucky that I did. Rest easy little cousin, you were taken far too soon, love always.”show more

🚨 JUST IN: Justin Baldoni breaks his silence for... the first time since the bombshell lawsuit against Blake Lively. This interview was recorded in November 2024, after the It Ends With Us movie premiere and promotional events, but before the lawsuit was filed and The New York Times hit piece dropped. It goes live Monday, February 10, 2025, and I have a feeling it’ll give us a glimpse into what Justin was going through at the time. And knowing what came next, things likely got even worse after Blake Lively’s bombshell allegations went public. Behind the scenes, during this period, tensions were high. Justin was pressured by Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively to release a public statement he didn’t agree with, forcing him to take full accountability for the bad press and production issues. At his own movie premiere, Justin, his family, friends, and team were sent to the basement. Then, during the movie promotion, he was snubbed and separated from the cast. Watch the episode on YouTube: Watch the promo clip, his words hit differently now. ⬇️ #JustinSpeaks #BlakeLively #JusticeForJustinshow more

The Taino, who occupied the Caribbean islands of Cuba,... Hispaniola, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, and the Northern Lesser Antilles were the first Americans to defend themselves against Christopher Columbus and other Spanish invaders. Hatuey was a Taino chief from the island of Hispaniola (now Haiti 🇭🇹) when 30 Spanish ships arrived on the shores of Hispaniola, bringing a large population of Spanish colonizers and enslaved Africans. Many of the enslaved Africans began escaping from the Spanish quarters fleeing into the interior of the island and connecting with the Taino. The Taino were soon forced to defend themselves from the death and destruction the Spaniards brought with them. For over a decade, Hatuey led the Taino people along with the Africans into combat against the Spanish to defend their freedom and did so successfully. Around 1511, Hatuey and 400 of his soldiers traveled to Cuba 🇨🇺 on a mission to mobilize the inhabitants of Cuba against the Spanish colonizers. He warned the Cuban leaders about the vile nature of the Spanish and urged them to unite and fight to save their land and their gold and their freedom. The Spaniards arrived with superior weaponry and outnumbered the Taino, but they didnt have the skill and courage of the Taino. Using guerrilla warfare, the Taino were able to defeat the Spaniards in Cuba for almost a year. Not all Taino agreed with Hatuey, and the colonizers were able to overtake and capture Hatuey and his men. Before his execution in 1512, as his rites of faith were being read, Hatuey, who knew nothing of heaven or hell, resisted converting to Christianity and chose instead to go to a burning hell than share heaven with the Spaniards. The spirit of Cacique Hatuey lives.show more

As the Connecticut Huskies attempt to win another national... championship tonight against Michigan, Alabama Men’s Basketball fans still hear the echos of two years ago when the Crimson Tide finally crashed college basketball’s biggest event for the first time on April 6, 2024. Inside State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., the Crimson Tide’s breakthrough season reached its crescendo in its first Final Four appearance against the Huskies. As a No. 4 seed coming out of the West Region, the magical run ended with an 86-72 loss, but not before the Crimson Tide proved it belonged on the grandest stage. Mark Sears led the way with 24 points, five rebounds and three assists, continuing his March brilliance. Grant Nelson delivered a monster effort with 19 points and a season-best 15 rebounds for a double-double, while Aaron Estrada added 13 points as Alabama fought to keep within striking distance deep into the second half. Stephon Castle scored 21 points, Donovan Clingan had 18 and Tristen Newton controlled the game with 12 points and nine assists. When Alabama clawed back to tie it in the second half, UConn answered with a decisive run. “We got this program to its first Final Four, and I’m unbelievably proud of these guys,” Alabama head coach Nate Oats said. “We just went up against the best team in the country and they showed it.” Two years later, as Connecticut chases another title, that Saturday night in Glendale stands as more than a final score in Alabama history. It redefined the ceiling of a program and created an expectation to get back.show more

"My son Ryan was 24. He came home from... Afghanistan in a flag-draped coffin on a Tuesday. Max was his dog. Ryan trained him from a puppy. They were inseparable for four years. We couldn't tell Max. I don't know how you tell a dog. I don't know if you can. All I know is that Max lay against Ryan's bedroom door every single night for eleven days. Not inside the room. Against the door. Like he was keeping it for him. Like he was making sure nobody closed it all the way." On the twelfth day I sat down on the hallway floor beside him. I don't know why the twelfth day. I had walked past him eleven times. The twelfth time my legs just stopped. I sat down on the floor and I put my hand on his back and I said Ryan's name out loud for the first time since the men in dress uniforms came to my door. Max lifted his head. He looked at me. He put his head in my lap. We sat there on the hallway floor for a long time. Neither of us went into the room. Neither of us was ready. Maybe neither of us will ever be ready. That's okay. The door is still not closed all the way. Some people you just keep a place for. Ryan. Max is still at your door. He's going to be at your door. We both are. Drop a ❤️ for Ryan. Share this for every Gold Star family tonight. You are not carrying this alone.show more

I like him, but I have to disagree with... The Buddy CSM. I think the biggest “high” from the military that I’ll never be able to chase down again is that feeling when you know there is a secondary IED, and then you find it. Specifically when you know American troops have to operate in the area. Firefights were intense, but not a feeling I wish to chase. >Calling up “hey, there’s another one here, hold what you got” >the infantry guys in security posture. >Hearing the radio call that the airspace has been restricted and you’re good to pull the shot. >the sound of rocks and rouge frag zipping by during the detonation >Hunkering down against the side of the vehicle to stay safe >radioing up that actions are complete and you’re good to continue missionshow more

She doesn't understand what she is getting into. If... she loses this time, she goes. If she somehow manages to win this time too, then god knows what happened to common people. And then the Center will be imposing President’s rule in the state and she will become powerless. Why President's rule then, and not till now? Because till now the Judiciary was playing games (most people do not remember how Judiciary had behaved and trashed the demand for the same in Uttarakhand some time back). So, the Center chose to let the judiciary taste its own medicine when the judicial team appointed by them was kidnapped by this group of peace-loving hooligans in Malda recently. It made the current CJI have a sleepless night and he took instant suomoto action because their people were involved. So, if the same drama happens against the common people in future, and the Center imposes the President's Rule, then the judiciary won't have any excuse to say no. And then, we should see some really good clean up happening. But let's pray that Didi goes out of power democratically so that she doesn't get another chance to play victim.show more
