POV. You’re my coffee table, I just got home... from the gym, it’s a hot sunny day so I come outside, I put my coffee down on you while I grab a chair. It burns, but it’s your job. I kick off my Nikes to release my sweaty soles, I lay back and place my feet up on you, you are instantly hit with an aroma so strong that you feel it in the back of your throat. Not only can you now taste them, but you can also feel how warm and moist they are. What a lucky coffee table you are, doing your job so well. But it doesn’t just end there. I’ve also forgotten to grab an ashtray and I don’t want to ash on my decking. So it looks like you’re now my personal ashtray. It feels so good to have a purpose doesn’t it?show more

Please do not get tired of me posting about... the same thing. The stakes are high! Its a matter of crores of Indians, especially children. When it comes to children, hesitancy can have a cost! We cannot allow history to repeat! There may not be another Dr Sivaranjani to fight again. It's not just eRZL, but no drink should be positioned in the pharmacies along with WHO recommended formula ORS, and even better, none of the other beverages should be available in the pharmacies, hospitals, and schools. Please sign the petition and share it. We need to tell the Govt. how people of India feel about the issue, not that they don't know, but we need proof. Share this super creative video which tells one how confusing it gets for a stressed parent taking decisions when their child is sick. Also, another two companies have come up with ORS on the label. What are FSSAi and the FDAs doing when companies are so blatantly violating the Govt. order??!! Ministry of Health FSSAI Jagat Prakash Nadda Narendra Modishow more

Way back in 2004, when I first moved to... Hyderabad, my office was in Banjarahills and I used to stay at a hostel in West Marredpally. I used to drive back home after work. Back then, a TV channel field reporter’s timings were never fixed and leaving by 9pm was considered early. I would start from Banjarahills Road No 3 and by the time I reached Nagarjuna Circle, there would be at least 10 bikes/ cars who would stop you and ask if you are available. Catcalling was the least problem. Sometimes they would just come fast and stop their vehicles obstructing me. Frustrated & angered, after a very tiresome day I went straight to a police patrol vehicle near HPS, Begumpet and complained. The sleepy policeman asked what I was doing on the road at 10pm. Probably the first time I flashed my press card out of work. Seeing the media channel’s name and my ID, he got scared: said “sorry madam, let me escort you to your hostel. There is no point booking cases on these men, it will be an unnecessary headache for you”! I refused his “help” and drove off. A few weeks after this, there was a discussion at office on what to do for Independence Day. I proposed the very same thing. Reminding people what Mahatma Gandhi ji said. On 14th August, 2004, we went on the roads and shot the entire ugliness women face on Hyderabad roads, even on main roads like Banjarahills, Nagarjuna Circle, Panjagutta, Begumpet, Secunderabad. The next day, the story became a sensation. Police officers called for meetings, special drives were held and what not. After my story, it became an annual tradition for TV channels / media outlets to do the same story. Didn’t realise that I started a “social experiment” of the sorts. Anyway! Years later women go on midnight walks to claim Hyderabad roads around Independence Day. Last night Malkajgiri CP IPS Sumathi, stood at Dilsukhnagar Bus Stop at midnight as a normal woman and was asked to “come” by 40 odd men between 12:30 am and 3:30 am. Some asked her, her price for the night, some were students, some employees, some were drunk, some were under the influence of ganja. All of them were ugly from within. All assumed that a woman on the street at midnight was “available” and can be harassed. Kudos to officer Sumathi! I hope you give strict instructions to your officers and men in duty. But sadly, Sumathi garu, for me nothing seems to have changed since 2004 August 14th. I don’t drive around on my bike in Hyderabad anymore. But women routinely face this. Areas probably changed, the level of harrassment changed, CCTV cameras are there every where now, there is a definite increase in policing and police force too. But these harassers have somehow become bolder and the roads still not that safer for women!show more

A German journalist also got to see more of... GTA 6 and talked about it at Gamescom. I’ve translated some important details into English: -Got to see live gameplay, played by Rockstar’s Rob Nelson -Was even allowed to give instructions during the gameplay -He saw a huge number of improvements and evolutions compared to Red Dead Redemption 2 -It feels like all of Rockstar’s previous games have somehow come together in this one -The extended look is apparently just the tip of the iceberg -He specifically wanted to see how simply hanging out and existing in the world would work -Things that would normally have been scripted into missions can now happen organically in the open world -People will comment on your clothing, both as Lucia and as Jason -One NPC whistled at Lucia while she was wearing a short skirt and commented, “Nice ass” -You can decide whether Lucia and Jason kiss when greeting each other or not -You can buy drinks for each other -You can even gain Honor by doing seemingly small things, such as throwing away litter (for example, a milkshake) -He saw all of this gameplay running on a base PS5 (he didn’t exactly follow the cables lol) -The game genuinely looked as good as it did in the Extended Look. He was skeptical at first, but eventually thought, “Fuck, it really does look this good” -The game is absolutely packed with stuff -It was hinted that there are various "tools" -Police no longer appear on the minimap -You can actually tell whether the police are identifying you based on your clothes, your face, your car, or whether you are traveling with your partner -There is a focus mode that was described as being similar to Witcher Sense -You won’t be able to break into every car from the very beginning -The variety of NPCs and activities is described as absolutely crazy -There are tons of funny little interactions. For example, he saw an NPC walking her dog; the dog pooped, and she actually pulled out a plastic bag and picked it up -The world is absolutely packed with NPCs. In a club, there are huge crowds of people, with everyone doing their own thing -People in Miami are very willing to approach you and interact with you -You can greet people, antagonize them, or try to defuse a situation -This creates far more opportunities for player choice and reminded him of old-school text adventures -NPCs seem to have distinct personalities of their own (some are reserved, others are aggressive, and so on) -The streets are narrower, which makes driving feel different -E-scooters can actually be a useful way of losing the police -Police officers can tase you -He personally thinks the game is even more impressive at night, with all the neon lights and the overall atmosphere -You can’t completely ruin Lucia and Jason’s relationship, and they can’t break up -When Lucia and Jason are close to each other, switching between them is almost seamless -You can switch from driving to the passenger and, for example, browse your social media feed while riding along -The social media system was compared to Instagram -Cycling has an impact on your Athleticshow more

Today, I took the new Lucid Gravity SUV out... for a quick drive. Here are my initial thoughts of the car and the drive: Materials & Seats: I have to say, this is a nice vehicle. The interior feels very premium, and the materials feel expensive. The perforated vegan leather seats are plush, provide good support, and hug you nicely. I sat in two Gravitys, one specced with the $4,200 Tahoe Brown vegan leather seats (really liked that color) and one with the all-black interior. The massaging seats are also surprisingly useful. Unlike the gimmicky ones in many cars, these actually feel great and not like a tiny mouse poking your back. I’d use them regularly if I owned one. The powered second-row seats are roomy and comfortable, with plenty of space for legs and feet. One small gripe I have: the grab handles on the interior feel like very cheap, hollow plastic. Design: The Gravity leans more toward minivan styling than SUV, but I actually think it works. Lucid managed to fit a whopping 120 cubic feet of cargo capacity into this thing. For context, that’s about 24% more than the Tesla Model X (91.6 cu ft), even though the Gravity is an inch shorter. It’s also just 10% less than the Cadillac Escalade IQ EV (131 cu ft), despite the Escalade being more than two feet longer. The 6K OLED panoramic display looks great, but the software felt a little laggy at times and is tough to see in direct sunlight. The steering wheel button design isn’t my favorite, but I do like the flat-top, flat-bottom design, Reminds me of Cybertruck’s wheel. Cargo loading is very convenient. With the air suspension lowered, the rear load floor is super low, making it easy to get things in and out. The trunk opening, though, is oddly shaped. I found the hatch uncomfortably close to my head, but raising the air suspension helps a little. Taller folks may still run into that issue. Showroom Employees: I met three Lucid employees at the showroom, one of whom had worked at Tesla for 10 years. All of them were very nice and knowledgeable. Sound System: It’s VERY good—great bass response, not muddy. It has Dolby Atmos, and it rocks. The Cybertruck still has the best factory sound system I’ve ever heard, but the Gravity’s is still great. ADAS: Unfortunately, I didn’t have much time to try it out, so I can’t give an opinion. But the 360-degree camera view is nice. It makes parking much easier and has a curb-rash alert so you don’t scrape your expensive wheels. Test Drive: The Gravity I drove, including options, was priced at $115,000. The ride felt firmer than I expected, even in the softest air suspension setting, but it was still comfortable. The sportier modes were fun and deliver that classic, quick-acceleration EV experience. The steering feel struck a good balance—sporty, but not tiring for everyday use. Visibility is good, and the glass windshield that extends past your head is cool (though I still think the Model X windshield is more immersive). Charging: The Gravity has native NACS and can charge at speeds up to 220 kW at Tesla Superchargers. In general, the vehicle is capable of up to 400 kW charging speeds. Final Thoughts: As Tesla fans, we can sometimes be tough on non-Tesla EVs, but I think the Gravity SUV is evidence that Tesla’s mission is working: accelerating the advent of sustainable energy. Tesla’s mission and past work helped pave the way for a vehicle like the Lucid Gravity to exist and come to market. While Lucid’s path to profitability is still in question, and while the Gravity is expensive (for now), even from my short time with it, this feels like Lucid’s first truly great product. Only the $94,900 Grand Touring trim is available right now, but the company says the less expensive Touring trim will come out late this year for $79,900. We shall see. I’m incredibly excited (and very nervous!) about the launch... of AMPLIFY. I have always felt enormous gratitude to have been born in Australia but, like many of you, I felt that we weren’t going in the right direction as a country. I started turning my mind to what we might do about the situation and got advice and encouragement from some amazing people. We decided to set up an organisation that is all about community at its core. So what is AMPLIFY? AMPLIFY is a community where Australians get to have their say and make a difference on the most important issues that we face as a country. We are non-partisan and completely independent of any political party. Anyone can become a member of AMPLIFY at no charge. We are seeking to find “uncommon ground” and identify the right solutions to the big issues facing Australia. We will do this by bringing our community together for events in all parts of the country, we will facilitate online conversations, share evidence, talk with experts and come up with solutions. The way in which we will make an impact is by taking our ideas to politicians and Amplifying the voice of our community to spark change. Our goal is to help Australia become a more prosperous, fairer, more cohesive and happier country. I will be serving as founder and Chair of AMPLIFY. My job at Square Peg is not changing in any way. Georgina Harrisson is our CEO and has been doing a remarkable job since joining last October. I am also really proud that my son Joel is an important part of the AMPLIFY team. I am grateful to the amazing group of people who have joined the board; Suzi Carp, Rona-Glynn-McDonald, Kate Jones, Gill McLachlan, Dom Perrottet, Kate Pounder, Mike Schneider and Zara Seidler. If we are going to be successful we need your support. You can sign up at our website and become a member in a few seconds. Please spread the word. Please share this Tweet or, better still, post your own Tweet and share with your audience.show more

here's how you can scale to 10k/month on tiktok... shop with slideshows so most affiliates are stuck doing the same thing every day. film, edit, post, make like $60-80 in commissions. and the problem isn't effort, it's that your time is the bottleneck. you can't film 15 videos a day. so your output caps and your money caps with it. meanwhile there's a guy in canada who made $18k in his first two weeks. never filmed anything. never showed his face. never even held a product. canada doesn't even support tiktok shop, he's running us tiktok from there. all slideshows. and when i say slideshows i mean 4-7 images posted like a normal tiktok with a product link attached. that's it. someone buys off it, you get paid. making one takes maybe 5% of the skill of making a video. now here's the catch. tiktok gated the feature. most accounts can't attach products to photo posts, you'll get a "product links not available in photo mode" error. some accounts randomly have it. quick way to check: open tiktok studio on desktop (has to be desktop, mobile won't work), hit upload. if you see "videos or photos" you have access. click photos, upload your images, attach the link. if you only see video upload, you're not in yet. uk and europe are getting it randomly right now, us is only top gmv creators for the moment. check every day because tiktok doesn't tell you when you get it, the option just shows up. worst case you build the system now and execute day one when your account unlocks. because the people getting random access with no clue what they're doing are posting random images and making nothing. the format is easy, that doesn't mean it's mindless. the format itself is one thing repeated over and over: pain point first, product second. slide one hits an insecurity. back acne from the gym. car turning into an oven all summer. makeup that never sits right. the person scrolling sees it and goes "wait that's literally me." middle slides twist the knife a bit more. then "so i tried this thing everyone's using," show it working, before and after, and the last slide is just the offer. sale, free shipping, link below. done. that structure sells cold traffic. people who've never seen the product buy off one slideshow because you sold the problem, not the product. and here's the part most people don't clock when they're scrolling past these: none of it is real. the guy holding the ceiling fan doesn't own a ceiling fan. the back acne was generated onto the model. the smoothies were never made. it's all ai images. which kills every excuse at once. no face, no product in hand, no waiting on shipping, no country restrictions. the workflow is dumb simple. screenshot a slideshow style you like, drop it in chatgpt, say "make me 3x4 images in this style." then describe your pain point scene. couple walking to a car that's been baking in the sun, whatever it is. then grab the product image off the tiktok listing, feed it in, "now show them using this." repeat per slide. no fancy prompts, the reference images do all the work. two small things that matter more than they should. keep everything 3:4 or the mixed sizes make the whole post look off. and don't bake text into the images, add it inside tiktok. native text looks like a person posted it. baked text looks like an ad. people can feel the difference even if they can't explain it. if you want it to look even more real, take a photo of your actual kitchen or desk and only generate the product into it. real room, ai product. nobody can tell. for ideas, don't invent anything. steal structure, swap one variable. the number one post in the uk right now is a simpsons style slideshow about linen trousers. take that exact skeleton and run it with a sports set or summer shorts instead. same format, different product, suddenly it's unsaturated again. or take viral videos and turn them into slides. one guy took a viral video about a sink drainage thing, rebuilt it as images, and beat the original with 1.7m views. first week on the platform. the biggest edge though is going backwards. pull products that went viral 2-3 months ago, take the exact hooks that already converted millions of views, and rerun them as slideshows. nobody's done them in this format because the format barely exists. you're not testing ideas, you're re-releasing proven hits. then it just comes down to volume. no filming, no editing, no product costs means each post is basically free. so post 10-15 a day. most will flop, who cares. one will do 500k views in two days and when it does you remake it 50 times and drain it. every gated feature on tiktok runs the same cycle. early access prints, wide rollout saturates, then it's just another format everyone does. slideshows are still in the first part of that cycle.show more
