thanks guys for trying the demo! this feels different... from the initial demo that we pushed last year in the steam RTS fest. Back then, 95% of feedback was about "lack of tutorial". It made me sad because I didn't really enjoy the game back then and I felt that making a tutorial was pointless. this time, we still don't have a tutorial, only few minor objectives, and still got 10x more feedback. And real feedback from players that played a lot, some of them replayed the same mission many times. for the first time in almost 3 years, I feel confident about encouraging people to try Powerplay. And it will only get bigger and better from here, because I decided to finally end my solo developer era and finally get a partner to help me ship this motherfucker! If you have been following the development you should know who I am talking about 😉 I will announce it soon!show more

SplitPaneKit This is something I've wanted to componentize for... a while. We've seen this pattern appear in a few apps now, I even use it at Abode. It has a couple "gotcha" moments with performance and optimisation while animating separate or child views with the drag and translation of the split views, handling breakpoints etc, I thought I'd put it into a nice package. I actually made quite a few optimisations from how I handle this with Abode in this package. So might need to implement it over there😅 As before, right now its UIKit only, but SwiftUI host will likely come over the next few days as I make improvements and final changes to the initial API from feedback. - Draggable split-pane interface - Custom breakpoints or built-in presets - Scroll view integration - drag from content or handle - Coordinated animations with pan-effecting views - UIKitshow more

How to 10x your design with Figma Make ⭐️... I spent 40+ hours testing Figma Make prompts. Most designers waste time with vague prompts and get garbage outputs. Here are the exact prompts and proven workflow that actually work: 1️⃣. Prompt formula: Bad: "Create a dashboard" Good: "Create a SaaS analytics dashboard with: → Left sidebar navigation (240px wide) → Top bar with user profile → 4 metric cards in a grid → Line chart showing revenue trend → Use blue (#2563EB) as primary color" The more you specify = higher quality. 2️⃣ Workflow: Import Your Design System First Before your first prompt: → Go to your main Figma file → Export your component library → Import it into Make → Add this to every prompt: "Use components from [Your Library Name]" Now everything matches your brand automatically. 3️⃣. Prompt for Interactive States: "Create a login form with: → Email and password inputs → Show error state when fields are empty → Disabled button state when form is incomplete → Success message after submission → Add smooth transitions between states" Gets you working prototypes, not static screens. 4️⃣. Advanced Prompts: Data States "Create a user list screen with three states: → Loading (skeleton screens) → Success (populated table with 10 users) → Empty (illustration + 'No users yet' message + 'Add User' CTA)" One prompt = complete UX coverage. 5️⃣. The "Design System Drift” Fix: Notice Make using wrong colors? → Try this Prompt: "Analyze my imported library and list all color tokens, then regenerate using only those exact values" It'll self-correct and stick to your system. 6️⃣. Responsive Design Prompt: "Create a pricing page with 3 tiers. Make it responsive: → Desktop: 3 columns side-by-side → Tablet: 2 columns with 3rd below → Mobile: Stacked vertically → Use Auto Layout for fluid scaling" This gets you mobile + desktop in one shot. 7️⃣. Magic Troubleshoot Prompts: Output looks off? → Try: "Redesign this following Material Design principles" → Or: "Make this follow iOS Human Interface Guidelines" → Or: "Apply Gestalt principles for better visual hierarchy" Give it design frameworks to follow. It works magic. Designers who master prompt engineering in 2026 will ship 10x more than everyone else. P.s. I made a Gameboy for Pokémon. (bookmark this for later)show more

Don't you have a haptic chair for VR gaming?... Don't worry, your friendly humanoid robot can help you with that! In a recent research paper from the University of Colorado, researchers experimented with using a humanoid robot to literally grab your chair and move it during VR racing sessions to make the game more realistic. And from the users' feedback, it seemed to work. I guess they took inspiration from those viral videos, where in some low-budget arcades, the owner literally moved the station with his own hands. I can't wait for the fail videos caused by this technology... Full video is available here: #VirtualReality #VR #technologyshow more

When they were talking about the alcohol brands: 🐰I... think we have to tell them what kind of drink it was~ 🐰no but anyways, it’s not a drink with high alcohol content, it’s not strong~ 🐹we drank makgeolli (fizzy rice wine), soju~ 🐰these days, V-ssi… it’s ok not to mention the brand, you’re into this drink these days right.. 🐹you can’t mention the brand~ 🐯when we were hanging out in the US, when I went into session, since then, I~ hyung likes will also like it so much~ ~~~ 🐹so this is a drink that’s made from the one taehyung enjoyed in the US, the one I make and some drinks left at home~ 🐰just a cocktail of a few things~ Basically, they were just trying to explain that even though they drank alot, the drinks were not strong, i.e they’re not drunk 🤣🤣🤣show more

Day 3 - La Chung to Zero Point Distance... - 3 hours approx The journey is so fckin beautiful that at one point I had tears in my eyes, not kidding! Felt blessed and privileged to have done this. 🥺 Also, I felt disappointed in our Tourism game. India is beautiful, and I wish we could promote it right. We really need to learn how to market our tourist places. Btw, if you are lucky, you can experience snowfall at Zero Point ❄️🥰 You can see China Border from here. Note - Do carry a raincoat/umbrella. Drink enough water throughout the journey. Carry an oxygen cylinder, highly recommend. Carry essential meds.show more

The next Three.js Water Pro update will give some... much needed love to the presets. Here's an example of the update tropical preset! 🌴 FYI, this will likely be my last release for a while (aside from any bug fixes) since I have other projects I'd like to work on. This release will pretty much contain every wishlist feature I wanted to add from the beginning. So far the list includes - Rain - Sea spray - Persistent foam for improved whitecaps - Improved underwater caustics - Improved lighting - Updated presets - A whole bunch of bug fixes - Performance improvements (I also have one more secret feature in the works that I think you guys are going to like 😏)show more

004/100 Buttons. A bit of the process on building... an animation. When looking at a finished animation or in this example a finished button, it can look quite complex inside the CSS. But when building it, it’s more like a lot of simple steps, one after another. Here I had the idea to make some kind of text animation like the footer logo on the Osmo site. I try to add the base animation with no complex easing, for example transition: translate 0.4s ease. Starting with just moving the one text from bottom to top and the other text to top. Adding a stagger, play around with it. Searching for a way to make it more circular. On the research I found the sin() function inside CSS which can build a more smooth non linear curve for the stagger which creates this circular effect. And step by step adding more complexity like, different easing for hover/hover-out, opacity, 3D transform and more. I use also the sin() function to rotate the letters, so the middle ones are getting more rotated than the outer ones. Another thing which helps is to add a small delay on hover, for example 0.05s or 0.1s, you don’t really see the difference, but when you hover pretty fast on and out it doesn’t get that jumpy. I’m using here GSAP’s SplitText to split every char into spans. And then I’m adding a CSS index variable to every span, starting from the center. SplitText can provide CSS index variables, but you cannot tell it from which direction. For the sin() it’s also important to have a max length, so I add another CSS variable with the max char number on it. Crafting 100 Buttons with Osmo ⏳ Total time: 63hshow more

Vitaliks mandarin fluency is a super bullish signal for... Ethereum 🐂 He had an open town hall at HK where community members asked him all sorts of questions, from the easy to the difficult The hard questions were all in Mandarin so i couldn't follow those 😅 At the town hall he laid out the guiding principle for Ethereum: cooperation without domination It's especially important in today's world where a powerful person dictates terms and others have to follow, or we have no cooperation & there's chaos What this means at a technical level is that Ethereums the world computer & we need to build enough trust that developers feel comfortable building apps on top of it. Solo staking, a conservative approach to changing the protocol etc are all part of this He also spoke on how new technology is a reset & creates a level playing field where the game starts again from zero with bringing a lot more people right to the frontier We are seeing this with AI (and zk too), where a noob developer can still catch up to a veteran with good prompt engineering. He shared his own experience of building an android app for the first time using AI despite having no prior experience in it Before people would say that EF needs to write more documentation. Now it's more relevant to show how deep seek integrations with solidity and Java can help easily create new Ethereum apps He sees AI as making it much easier for newcomers to build web3 apps & is making a push in this directionshow more

I built a clone of the Yeezy store with... Next.js. This was a fun challenge — the site has some smooth animations and feels very fast. But it was bothering me that I couldn't use the browser back button. Can we do better? So I rebuilt the site with v0 and Motion. Here's how it works: 1. When you click on a product, Motion is able to animate the original position of the product in the grid, to the zoomed in product detail page. 2. During this transition, we also shallow update the URL with the `/p/slug` route for the page. 3. If you press the back button in the navbar, or use the browser back button, or press escape — all options will take you back to the main product listing page. 4. If you reload the page while looking at a product, or someone sends you a link to a specific product, it still works! This is the best parts of a SPA and MPA mixed together. In the future, I can make this even better with View Transitions (I wasn't able to get the product animation just right, but if you can I'd love to see it!). I also took some creative liberties from the original design. The whole 1/2/3 size thing, where you needed to click the "?" to see SM/MD/LG was strange, so I just went directly to those sizes. Similarly, I prefered the more traditional style sheet/modal with the background color change, versus the full screen takeover. If you wanted to actually hook this up to Shopify now, you can swap the cart implementation with Next.js Commerce, which has all the APIs you need + optimistic writes 🔥 Should I make a video walking through the code?show more

Apparently, I saw this video online and I decided... to share. What this worker is applying is called bitumen, or what many of us know as bituminous coating. Most people think a wall is a solid, impenetrable block, but in reality, it is more like a sponge. Concrete and blocks have microscopic pores that pull water from the earth through a process we call capillary action. This thick black substance is the shield that stops that water from climbing up into the house. It is not about making the wall look good because this part will be buried under the dirt forever. It is about creating a skin that water cannot breathe through. When do you need to do this? The need for this arises because the soil is a very aggressive environment. Water is not your only enemy.. The ground also contains salts and sulfates that want to eat away at the cement. If this moisture finds its way to the steel bars inside the columns, those bars will start to rust. And when steel rusts, it expands, and that expansion is what cracks the concrete from the inside out. This coating is the only thing standing between your foundation and that kind of slow destruction. Thats is why if you see wet patches at the bottom of your walls inside your house, it usually means someone skipped this step or did it poorly during construction. You can apply this anytime you are building parts of a structure that will stay in contact with the ground. It is common in areas where the water table is high or where the soil stays damp for most of the year. This is a one-shot opportunity. Once you backfill the soil, you can never go back to fix it without a lot of expense and a lot of digging. It is about having the foresight to protect the heart of the building while it is still exposed. Please don’t ignore this if you need to. If you ignore it now to save a bit of money, you will be funding the future decay of your own home. I hope this helps.show more

This really isn’t anybody’s business, but I like being... transparent. I’ve only shared a few of my payouts from 2024 not because I plan to make it a routine, but just to show what the revenue actually looks like, excluding subscriptions (the money people pay directly to access my content). And before anyone starts screaming “edited,” I screen-recorded it to prove it’s real. People do all sorts of editing on this app, so better to just show everything clearly. Sometimes you just want to motivate one person out there. But don’t expect me to keep posting this… it’s stress, lol. Do I feel like I should be earning more based on the work I put in and the impressions I get? Definitely. But 9ja IP is honestly bad luck we know this. And remember it’s not impressions that pay, it’s verified engagements. Out of 122k followers, only about 7k are verified. It used to be less until I started posting Web3 stuff. Is the pay fair? Not really. But it is what it is. Even with that, X is still my main platform because no other app has paid me more than this yet. Are smaller pages earning more than mine? YES. Verified engagements matter more than impressions. Am I bothered? Nope. As long as my own money enters, that’s my focus. Also the payout isn’t fixed price. You can see it in the screenshot some weeks are good, and some weeks drop. I’ll keep building, creating, growing, connecting, and leveling up. X pays people who put in the work. Does this mean you should come to my DMs to bill me? Absolutely not. I won’t answer. I’m working this hard because I need money too. I have bills to sort always that’s why I put in work. I no dey type everything for una. Put in your own work everybody for themselves. Consistency PAYs. Also note it’s not EASY!show more

Today I finally looked at and signed up for... Decentralized Pictures All the tech was smooth as butter with the only hiccup bridging my $talnt which turned out I just needed to send a little more eth and the error was unclear, but even so the team was super responsive. For tech to work right away in my hands during retrograde is an amazing feat and well done. Perusing the submission review system I’m in love. This type of fine tune selection with ability to give feedback is everything. I love the decentralized submissions and reviews. I feel like I’m my own little mini movie producer. I love also how artists are not submitting into a black hole and even if don’t get selected they get tangible feedback why which only helps everyone and thing. I’m so excited to cozy down and review some things and be active moving forward because this is a wonderful bridge to transparent and ethical movie funding that has been built. We’re Just $11,000 Away from Reaching Our Goal! Help... Us Equip Engineering Units in Ukraine 🚜 Please, I'm reaching out to ask for your support in completing this fundraiser. Every bit of help brings the brave people of Ukraine closer to survival. If you're unable to donate, that’s perfectly okay—times are tough for everyone. A retweet, comment, like, or even just a visit to my profile can make a huge difference by helping this message reach others. Why is this fundraiser so important? Here’s what your support will make possible: 1⃣ Fortifications: Building fortifications is a backbreaking process. It requires digging, layering logs, and stabilizing structures, which is incredibly labor-intensive by hand. With crane trucks and excavators, we can build stronger and deeper defenses faster, ensuring better protection for our troops. 2⃣ Logistics & Transport: These engineering vehicles aren’t just for construction—they’re also vital for delivering supplies like food, water, clothing, drones, and ammunition. With a loader crane, a single operator can do the work of 10 people, speeding up loading and unloading tasks that are critical in warzones. 3⃣ Ammunition Recovery & Demining: One of the trucks funded through this campaign will be sent to a recycling unit for unexploded ordnance. There, recovered ammo will be repurposed for FPV drones and other defense initiatives, helping Ukraine make the most of every resource. 4⃣ Maximizing Manpower: Ukraine's population is smaller than Russia's, meaning we have to do more with fewer people. These machines allow one operator to handle the work of 20 or more soldiers—whether it’s excavating, transporting materials, or recovering unexploded munitions. We are so close to making this happen! 🔗 Donation Link: Thank you for your support. Every dollar, share, or bit of engagement makes a real impact. Let's finish this together and help Ukraine stand strong! 💙💛show more

I’ll be happy to admit that the people training... to failure on high reps are putting in considerably more effort than me.⠀ ⠀ Their sessions cost more energy, require more willpower, take longer to recover, and require better planning to avoid falling into issues with fatigue overload.⠀ ⠀ Meanwhile, I just hit the same exercises, week by week, pick weights I can go close to failure on within the 4-6 rep range, and everything takes care of itself.⠀ ⠀ I’m not broken after workouts.⠀ ⠀ I make steady progress.⠀ ⠀ I rarely have to change things up to fix recovery or intensity issues. My plan basically runs itself.⠀ ⠀ And despite picking the easy road, I can also reach higher levels of motor recruitment due to the fact that heavy weights simply hit more fibers from rep one, and don’t take long to recover.⠀ ⠀ I totally understand why it’s intuitive for some to expect better gains from increased effort.⠀ ⠀ The more they put in, the more they destroy themselves in their sessions, the better their progress.⠀ ⠀ Unfortunately, that idea just gets destroyed by the fatigue problem.⠀ ⠀ Fatigue is a thing. It inhibits motor recruitment from the top down (the ones you need to activate), and it accumulates over a session, over the week, and over the programme.⠀ ⠀ Ignore it at your peril.show more

And finally! The Holy Grail! The Artificial Granite! Using... Caveman Resources Only! Oh, this was a painful and long development process! Just in time! I have almost deleted this chapter from my new book as this thing nearly missed the deadline! But luckily 🍀 Is there quartz in it? Yeees! A lot! In fact, as many as I want: I can mix aaanything into this material, including quartz grains. (In fact I can create stone even from 🐴 💩 or whatever 🤣) Is the binder SiO2, to fool archeologists using mass spectrometry and XRF? Yeeees! Indeed! But is the binder quartz? Noooo! (Btw: this👆🏻would be the right question to ask.) Can we tell the quarry of this artificial stone ball using the common analysis tools? Sure, we can! This “carved” granite ball is from South Africa, so some 10.000 kms away. It was carved there and shipped to Hungary - in a paper bag as a powder 🤣 Is it waterproof? Yes. Boiling proof? Yes. Acid proof? Yes. Alkali proof? Yes. Mohs scale: 6-7 Ideal to fool unsuspecting people. Ingredients: • Waterglass • “Secret ingredient” I’ll reveal later • Billion years old, natural granite powder • created on room temperature I also attached the video of the 20 minutes boiling test. (Explain this to me: why do we exactly expect the glass binder to fall apart in boiling water? Glass is glass.) Ah! Almost forgot! Do you need a nub to create it in large size? It depends. If you happen to build a wall from it, then… Absolutely! This mix releases so much water it’s unbelievable! You need to drain it or else you find your stone in a puddle. Bubbles 🫧? Glad you asked. None. This is a “dry” technology, meaning: you press the water out from the mix, from a semi-dry material. Jimmy Corsetti you asked the first piece of the artificial granite. No luck, you’ll not get it. You know exactly why. (Just between you and me) Brian Roemmele I think this development is important Joe Rogan I’m ready to tell you the secret first as someone who did a lot of things to clear the picture of the ancient past. Ben van Kerkwyk - UnchartedX I learned a lot from your excellent videos. One day I’ll cast precision stone vases 🏺 for you! 😉 The Land Of Chem you are my hero @CosmicSummit24 George Howard I’m ready. 2025 will be “the year”! Now please share this info to the world. This knowledge is important. Even if our current generation will not accept it. I don’t care, we’ll die out sooner or later, and the next gen will take it as granted. As always. This is human nature. Someone please tell Joe Rogan that I’m both ready and open to cast a fake granite in his show in live revealing the secret.show more
