I want to clear the air about people calling... Luca Netz 🐧 a scammer I get the frustration... personally, i'm one of the ones that got cooked the most but there's a difference between a failed start-up, and a rugpull if he had walked away with millions in his pocket. that's a different story but he didn't. he lost money, time, and hurt his reputation nobody won in this situation. especially Luca did he make really bold statements about Abstract? Yes. like any founder that believes in what they're building, I sure hope they would did a lot of people get hurt as a result of that? Yes. could things have been managed differently? Yes. all of that could be true. at the same time, that's part of the game we all sign up for when we join something like this especially in one of the world's riskiest and most difficult industries to build in we're all taking a bet on it's success, the vision, and the people behind it and unfortunately, this one didn't work out should everyone that contributed expect some kind of compensation or reward? sure, that would be cool... I would honestly love that I bet as Obsidian tier, and top 100 user, I would get a pretty fat stimmy at the same time, realistically, how would they even do that? they're already negative tens of millions of dollars would be outrageous to make more promises we know they can't keep idk. none of this played out the way we wanted it too, and that's the sad reality everyone needs to accept if i'm being honest, i've already been depressed about Abstract the last 2-3 months I was a delusional bull... and watching things go downhill the way it did were extremely brutal but at the end of the day. I wouldn't change a thing i'd rather give something I truly believe in my whole fucking heart and soul... than to half-ass something, barely even trying seeing the shutdown announcement, in a weird way, gave me the closure I needed mentally, I was already there. but ripping off the bandaid was all that was left I believed for way too long, and I had lost my purpose and my why i'm hoping everyone can one day heal from this, and find the next thing they can get excited about if you're reading this, use this experience as a learning one don't repeat the same mistakes you might've made along the way for me, that means putting all your eggs in one basket... it doesn't hurt to diversify and be bullish on multiple ecosystems at the same time that's what i'll be doing differently moving forward I really wish Abstract became what we all dreamed it could. but that chapter's done now onto the next oneshow more

Don’t F*ck with people you don’t know

Some of you have probably already noticed that I... don't have the Prime Intellect badge. After an incredible two years, I’ve left Prime. I joined Prime as employee #7, back when we were a tiny team with an enormous ambition: to make frontier AI research open and accessible to everyone. At the time, it seemed almost impossible. How could a handful of people compete with companies like OpenAI and Anthropic? How could we attract the talent, compute, and resources to do the kind of research we dreamed of doing? But somehow, we believed in the dream enough to show up and ship. And over the next two years, a tiny startup grew into a billion-dollar company, and ideas that once seemed impossibly ambitious became real. I think every successful startup is a small miracle. And I’m incredibly grateful to have been part of one. More than anything, I’m grateful for the people. Especially samsja, who has been so much more than a manager to me. He was the reason I joined Jina AI, fought to bring me into Prime, and has been a mentor and a dear friend through so much of my career. I owe him more than I can put into words. Johannes Hagemann, Vincent Weisser, Jannik, Manveer, Kemal Erdem, Leonardo, Alex and everyone else at Prime. I’ve learned so much from all of you, and I wouldn’t trade the memories and experience of building alongside all of you for anything in the world. As I set off to explore ambitions of my own, I leave with immense gratitude for these two years. I will always be rooting for Prime, and I am excited to see how much further the team takes it. I joined Prime wondering if miracles are possible, if David could slay Goliath. I leave knowing its possible. Onward to the singularity. Excited to see what comes next. ❤️🫡🚀show more
