today was the first time i was genuinely impressed... with what AI can do i recently decided to buy a whole FPV drone setup knowing basically nothing about the hardware side of it there's a pretty steep learning curve even just to set everything up properly: radios, RF protocols, flight controllers, ESCs, firmware, batteries, goggles, betaflight configs etc as someone that spends essentially 12h a day prompting agents to build software, it's actually pretty rare that i interact with AI on something where i have zero idea what's going on under the hood, and i never really used it for debugging a bunch of physical devices that all have to talk to each other i had codex + voice mode open for basically the entire setup. told it everything i bought, sent it some pics and then just started talking to it >what order do i set all this up in >how do i change this setting on the radio >which of these cables do i use >the drone is flashing pink wat mean >can you make this thing less insane to fly in my apartment and it was surprisingly seamless it would go find the manual for whatever specific thing i was holding, tell me exactly which buttons to press, what port to plug something into, what i should see if it worked etc then when i got to configuring the actual drone i had codex running on the computer it was plugged into, so it could inspect the config, back everything up, change settings, send usb reboot signals and check what happened the insane thing about voice mode is that youre literally hands on with the hardware and just telling codex what it should do, i literally never touched a thing on the computer besides starting voice mode if something doesn't work you tell it what happened and keep going a few hours of this and i had the radio, goggles, charger, batteries, drone firmware and betaflight all set up and had actually flown the thing the part that stuck with me is that i also understood what most of it was doing by the end, every time there was a term or tech i didnt understand id just ask to explain there is something absolutely magical about having proper real time personalized assistance, being able to dump a pile of unfamiliar hardware on your desk and have something figure out exactly what you own and walk through it with you in real time you become the missing physical link pressing the buttons i think spending all day using coding agents has actually made me pretty numb to AI progress. every new model is a bit better at some benchmark or can oneshot some task that the previous one couldn't and you just kinda adjust to it this felt different mostly because i had no existing knowledge to fall back on for the first time the jarvis comparison didn't feel cringe ai for coding and general computer tasks is cool and all but this feels a lot closer to the endgame anyone should be able to just ask any question about whats going on in their life and have realtime support i wonder if more hardware products will actually start exposing some sort of MCP or interface for agents to plug into thinking for example of how elevators in china are increasingly built with interfaces that let delivery robots call them directly instead of having to physically press a button we might actually start seeing hardware design shift from being purely human-interface-first to also being agent-interface-first buttons, screens and menus exist because humans need some way to tell machines what to do. agents don't necessarily need any of that if the hardware exposes an interface directly very curious which side closes the physical world gap first: humanoid robots that can operate hardware designed for humans, or hardware adapting so agents can operate it directlyshow more

Bryson DeChambeau hasn’t played since the Ryder Cup and... he won’t be again until LIV Golf Riyadh in February. He says he’s been speed training through the off season though and has a target of reaching a comfortable 200mph ball speed. He’s also been playing table tennis with America’s number 1, Kanak Jha. Speaking to Tom Hobbs from Flushing It Golf, Bryson said: “I’m not playing until Riyadh. I’m going to be going in hot though. I’m sneaky working on my game really hard. “I'm going to start ramping up my speed again. Let’s talk reflecting pool. Warren G. Harding built it... on swampland and the structure beneath it would have been fine - if it had been built on stable ground. The whole thing started sinking slowly. Presidents all the way up through Carter kept trying to prop it up with little cement pours, and regularly draining and cleaning it. Algae was a problem even then because there was no real circulation system. No pumps. No filters. Reagan added some more concrete, realizing the entire pool was now 12 or 13 inches lower than it should be. It had sunk over a foot and pulled loose from its structure. Clinton publicly acknowledged that the entire pool needed demolished and rebuilt, and that it would take hundreds of millions of dollars to do it right. The Bushes just kept trying to plug leaks and clean it. Every time they had to drain and scrub the thing, it cost around $100,000 to do so. George W. Bush actually had plans drawn up to rebuild it.  Obama decided to revise and execute the Bush renovation, which was needed, but it was flawed, and he spent tens of millions of dollars on it. He raised the pool up with a timber under-structure so the water ended up being even shallower, which means that’s the point at which the water started getting warmer. He also turned off the chlorinated city water supply into the pool and began pumping water in from the tidal basin - that’s the somewhat stagnant water that comes in from the Potomac River and surrounds the Jefferson Memorial. There was algae before, but with those changes came even more algae. Obama‘s reasoning was that the basin water would be cheaper instead of using the city water supply. Of all the possible problems, only a 1–2 day delay in delivery was discussed. Spoiler: they promised delivery in 3–4 days, it took 2 weeks… Before the breeder handed over the dog, this person was constantly in touch, communicating, etc. After the dog arrived in Kyiv from Kryvyi Rih, the transporter (whose name is Artem +380973444587 and his wife Alina +380 95 764 98 86 / all communication was through his wife’s number, which is listed on his website) sent us only one video. Then I explained that we had already paid for the dog and it was already ours, but nothing changed after that. The dog was taken to Moldova and they wrote: “there is no veterinarian at the border who issues the EU certificate, so we are waiting for one to appear.” We were outraged but agreed, because the agreement was for LEGAL transportation!!! And now, the recipe for the room-temperature glass layer…... although unfortunately, you probably won’t get very far with it. The reason I haven’t shared the recipe until now is because I wanted to keep the Nobel Prize all to myself. NO. It’s because I spent the last two weeks trying to eliminate one component from the equation — a component that is almost certainly not something the average modern household has lying around. But now I’m going on vacation 🏝️, and obviously I’m not taking my labs with me. I’m not going to continue the experiments, I won’t be posting either, so it’s going to look as if I’ve simply disappeared. “Look, the guy tricked us and then disappeared without a trace!” Well, no. The result is real, the recipe is simple — you just probably won’t have the starting material you need. And despite struggling with this for two weeks, I couldn’t find a substitute for it. But maybe you will! 👍🏻 So I’m sharing the recipe as I currently know it, exactly as it is, in case someone can take it further while I’m sitting on a beach getting a tan. All I ask is that if someone manages to completely solve this mystery while I’m away, please consider a shared Nobel Prize! 🤪 So, the “secret ingredient” is none other than old, completely whitened, end-of-life waterglass. Yep. The stone shown in the video is proof that the glass layer is actually a precipitation. The layer is present on one side of the stone, but completely absent on the other side, even though the stone was standing vertically in the solution. Don’t let the visibly rough condition of the glass layer fool you — this was the first one, and I subjected it to all kinds of tests - too early. The important thing is that there is glass on one side, and ABSOLUTELY NONE on the other, even though the stone was standing vertically in the solution! So this isn’t the bottom and the top of the stone. It’s the right and left sides. Yeah. The glass is indeed a preipitated layer. So let me explain in detail what I did the first time I got this result. This stone was cast in that sour cream container (so it is an artificial one), and then I cut it in half with an angle grinder because I wanted to see what was inside. The inside was quite crumbly, so I decided to strengthen it. I soaked it in this, then that, then something else, impregnated it with one thing and then another, thinking that eventually it would become stronger. And while doing all this, I dipped the stone into all kinds of things. Ash lye, wine, waterglass, God knows what else. At this point, it doesn’t really matter. The funny thing is that now, having reconstructed what actually happened, I wasn’t trying to create a glass layer at all. I was simply trying to strengthen a crumbly stone. But there wasn’t enough waterglass in the lab to completely cover the stone standing in the container. Fill up with water? Nooo! I didn’t want to dilute it with water, so I started looking around in the cupboard and found a bottle of waterglass that was more than a year old and had already turned completely white. I poured this waterglass into the container on ONE SIDE of the stone. And I really mean one side. I did NOT mix it. I thought the waterglass will be "smart enough" to mix its old self with its new self. But the old one didn’t flow around to the other side. It simply accumulated against this curved surface of the stone and deposited there. The best evidence that this is exactly what happened is that even toward the edge of the curved section, the layer wasn’t nearly as thick as it was where I actually poured the old waterglass. And on the cut side of the stone, where I DID NOT pour any old waterglass, absolutely nothing was deposited. And this old waterglass is the thing you probably don’t have at home. Because modern people simply throw this stuff away. “It’s gone bad. Into the trash.” I spent the last couple of weeks trying to find an alternative solution that doesn’t require this old waterglass. Exactly so that I could start public beta testing. I didn’t want to release a recipe that would require you to wait an entire year to have one of the ingredients before you could even start experimenting with it. So I tried artificially aging the waterglass using all sorts of methods — baking soda, acids, slaked lime, carbon dioxide — but none of them produced suspended particles in the waterglass. So far, only waiting did. I did, however, lose a SodaStream machine in the process. RIP. 🪦 So, for now, the answer seems to be: either wait a year, or find some old waterglass in your cupboard. I haven’t found another way. Over the past few weeks, a few people volunteered to beta-test the process. But I only chose people who have been working with me for a long time, so there was at least a chance that they might have some old waterglass, or artificial stone, or both, at home. Mondo Mondo in Australia actually did the experiment, and it worked. I don’t know the Canadian guy, Odhinn , so I have absolutely no idea how he did it. Mondo’s waterglass wasn’t completely white, but it was thicker than normal — 46% from the shop — and it was at least six months old. Bingo. The experiment worked for him. What’s interesting is that once I finally identified the old waterglass as the responsible component, I tried using it directly — just soaking stones in the old waterglass by itself. And that didn’t work 😵 The important thing is (?) the mixture and ratio of fresh and old waterglass. Something like two-thirds fresh waterglass and one-third completely whitened, old waterglass. The explanation may be the following — and this isn’t me saying it, it's Mr. Grok: "The old waterglass provides the amorphous silica nuclei that are essential for the precipitation, while the fresh waterglass provides the chemical activity and high pH that keep the whole process going." Okay! There’s one more thing I need to add. I was only able to create really thick precipitated layers on artificial stones. All the other thick layers, such as the ones on granite or eggshell, were not precipitation. Those were simply the thickened sludge that had formed, which I then smeared onto the surface. Because when an artificial stone is dipped into the magical mixture, it somehow thickens the entire mixture. Even in the last experiment, when I thought the egg was responsible for thickening the magical mixture, there was actually a small piece of artificial stone sitting in the corner of the container. From there, suspicious brownish streams were spreading in every direction. In other words, the artificial stone was releasing something that caused the entire mixture to turn into a gel. So, that’s where we are right now. Feel free to experiment. As far as I know, apart from the half-dead waterglass, I haven’t found another method that works. 🚨What If Earth's Oldest Civilization Never Left the Ocean?... What if the intelligence behind some UFO didn't actually arrive here from another star system at all? For most of Earth's history, land wasn't even the center of the biological story. The oceans held the chemistry, the minerals, the heat, the pressure, the vents, the darkness and the protection. Hydrothermal vent ecosystems already prove that life doesn't even need sunlight in the simple way that we once thought it did. Entire ecosystems can be built around chemical energy rising from the seafloor. That should have changed how we (SETI) think about life, but humans still keep defaulting to our own surface bias. We imagine intelligence as something that crawls onto land, discovers fire, makes tools, builds cities and eventually launches machines into the sky. That is our path but it's not necessarily the only path. An intelligence that evolved in the deep ocean would have faced a completely different set of conditions. It wouldn't begin with fire, because fire is obviously useless underwater. It wouldn't develop metallurgy in the same way that we did, because open flame and smelting are surface technologies. It wouldn't need wheels, roads, walls or conventional buildings as we do. It would evolve inside pressure, darkness, currents, sound, vibration, magnetism, chemistry and geothermal energy. Its entire technological history would be alien to us even if it was native to Earth. So when people dismiss the idea of an ancient underwater civilization by asking where the factories are, where the ruins are, or where the tools are we have to question whether their technology would leave the same signatures ours does. Would they even build like we build? Industrialization may look totally different. A deep ocean intelligence might not construct dead machinery in the way we do. It might grow structures and use biological engineering before mechanical engineering. It might use mineral matrices, pressure systems, acoustic fields, electrochemical processes or living materials. It might not separate biology and technology at all. To us, that would look less like a civilization and more like an environment. A sufficiently old oceanic intelligence may not have cities that resemble human cities. This would also explain why the UFO subject keeps revolving around water. The ocean appears again and again in the background of the mystery. USOs, transmedium objects, craft entering or leaving the sea, naval encounters, disturbances under the surface, objects tracked over water, and sightings near coastlines and military maritime zones all point toward the same possibility, that maybe water isn't incidental to the phenomenon, maybe it is central. If some UFO are connected to an ocean based intelligence, then what we see in the sky could only be the visible edge of something way bigger. The craft are not arriving from elsewhere in every case. They may be surfacing from their native domain into ours for short periods of time, crossing that boundary between ocean and air the way we cross from land into water with submarines and diving equipment. The only difference is that they appear to do it way better than we do. Human technology is divided by environment, aircraft are built for air, submarines are built for water while rockets are built for space. Each domain creates different engineering problems, so we build separate machines for each one. But UAP don't appear to play by the same rules. That is what makes the transmedium reports so important. If an object can move through water, air and possibly even space without changing its basic behavior, then it might not even be flying or swimming in the conventional sense. It could actually be controlling the interaction between itself and the medium around it. That kind of technology would make sense for a civilization born in the ocean because water is dense. It resists movement, crushes weak structures. It creates drag, turbulence and cavitation. If an intelligence developed vehicles in that environment, it would eventually need to master boundary control, so it would need to reduce friction, manage pressure, avoid destructive wake effects and move through dense fluid without wasting enormous amounts of energy. If that same technology was later used in air, it might appear to us as silent propulsion, impossible acceleration, no sonic boom, no heat plume and no obvious aerodynamic logic. So what looks impossible to us may simply be the result of a technological path that did not begin with wings and rockets. The old black budget explanation doesn't fully solve this problem either. Yes, some triangle craft, drones and experimental platforms may be human and it would be naive to deny that, but human secret technology still has to come from somewhere. If certain platforms show silent hovering, field effects, plasma signatures, extreme acceleration and transmedium behavior, then we are either dealing with a hidden human science far beyond public understanding, or we are dealing with something that we are trying to imitate. That is where the old 'alien reproduction vehicle' idea and the cryptoterrestrial theory start to overlap. Maybe some of what people call black budget technology isn't purely invented, it's most likely adapted from encounters with something already operating here. Going back to what Grusch said earlier, the implications are massive. If there are underwater bases, facilities, habitats or recurring operational zones known to governments, then this isn't just a question of disclosure. There's a sovereignty issue, who controls the oceans? Who has access to the deep sea? Who monitors undersea cables, nuclear submarines, offshore infrastructure, shipping lanes and military testing ranges? If an unknown intelligence can operate in those spaces without permission, then every major navy on Earth has a problem it cannot publicly admit. The bigger issue here could be that governments don't want to admit they aren't in full control of the planet. There is a huge difference between saying, 'We have evidence of unknown craft,' and saying, 'There may be advanced non human infrastructure in the oceans and we cannot remove it.' That would also explain the change up from UFO to UAP and from extraterrestrial to non human intelligence. Non human is pretty broad lets be honest. It doesn't tell us where they come from, it leaves room for extraterrestrial, interdimensional, post biological, artificial, ultraterrestrial, cryptoterrestrial or native Earth intelligence. An ancient oceanic intelligence would also force science to confront its own blind spots. We know intelligent life evolved on Earth at least once because we are here. But we have no law of nature saying it could only happen once, only on land, only recently, or only through primates. Evolution isn't a ladder with humans at the top. It's a branching process with countless experiments, most of which vanished or left traces we don't fully understand. If an intelligent lineage emerged in the ocean and then moved into environments where fossilization, geological preservation and surface archaeology are poor, we probably wouldn't even recognize the evidence even if fragments existed. Ocean crust is constantly recycled through plate tectonics. Seafloor environments are really destructive. Structures can be buried, subducted, corroded, overgrown or mistaken for natural formations. If a civilization was millions or even hundreds of millions of years old, the survival of obvious surface style evidence would be highly unlikely. So now imagine a civilization that even never built like us in the first place. This doesn't prove anything obviously, but it makes the dismissal less easy. Then there is the question of why such an intelligence would stay hidden. If it is older and more advanced, why not reveal itself? The answer could be as simple as open contact with humans may not benefit it. We are violent, territorial, extractive and unstable. We turn discoveries into weapons as quick as we can. We militarize frontiers, poison ecosystems, test nuclear devices. We drag the deep sea with cables, sonar, submarines, mining ambitions and military hardware. From the perspective of an older oceanic intelligence, humans probably don't look like peers. If an older intelligence interacted with early humans, we wouldn't expect ancient people to describe pressure engineered transmedium craft or non human oceanic infrastructure. They would describe gods, spirits, shining beings, dragons, serpents, sky boats, sea people, underworlds and portals. Human language can only describe the unknown through the symbols available at the time. Even now, we struggle. We call them craft, orbs, drones, angels, demons, aliens, ultraterrestrials, interdimensionals. The labels change, but the confusion always stays the same. The ocean theory also sits strangely well with the consciousness aspect of the phenomenon. If an ancient intelligence developed through biology and field sensitivity rather than brute mechanical industry, it may have integrated consciousness into technology way earlier than we could have. We are only now beginning to wonder whether mind, perception and information are more deeply connected to physics than our materialist models allow. An older civilization may have already built that bridge. All of this having been said, the theory still needs evidence. It needs coordinates, sensor data, sonar records, materials, biological traces, repeatable patterns and testimony that can be checked. However as a framework, it definitely needs more attention than it gets, because it explains why the UAP phenomenon feels close, evasive, ancient and deeply tied to Earth. The extraterrestrial hypothesis asks how they got here, although I have a theory about that. While the ancient ocean hypothesis asks whether they were already here. That is a completely different question. If what Grusch is saying is even partly correct, then disclosure will reveal that human civilization has been sharing this planet with another intelligence all along.
