The world of digital painting, needs the attention it... deserves. There is a movement within digital art that I think is still heavily overlooked. Much of it operates in the hidden corners of an underground NFT scene on Tezos and Ethereum. At its core is a group of artists who treat the digital screen as an open expressive field in itself, much like painters started doing 100 year ago. The screen is no longer simply a workspace for email, Excel, Photoshop or Illustrator; a window for YouTube and Netflix; or a device for gaming. Instead, these artists take the visual language that emerged through decades of living and working with computer screens and turn it into artistic material. Obsolete interfaces, forgotten software, image compression, sampling, pixels, moiré, glitch, the world of emojis, and the visual language of 1980s and 90s computing all become part of the vocabulary. Some artists draw using early paint software that's unstable and chrashes, deliberately embracing its technical limitations as expressive constraints. Others build an entire practice around a particular version of Photoshop, developing a visual language through the possibilities and limitations of that single tool. It's often a lot about the practice of making the images and exposing the limits and politics hidden in the tools they use. What interests me most is the shift in the reference frame of the image. Traditionally, we tend to think about images in relation to physical reality: an image depicts, abstracts, distorts, or somehow refers back to the physical world. Here, the reference frame increasingly becomes the image that lives on the screen and the computational environment itself. This world now has a rich history of tools, visual languages, structural elements, and operational systems spanning more than 70 years. In that sense, I see this movement as a dive into the emotional and intellectual relationships we are building with the world of images on screen and the systems operating behind it. The outputs range from still digital paintings to complex GIFs and moving images. For these artists, the computer screen is no longer merely where the artwork is displayed. It has become its material, its history, and its world. Saylor’s Bitcoin Machine Meets the Cash Reality The real... story is not that Strategy may sell up to $1.25B of Bitcoin. The bigger story is that it has moved from a simple accumulation narrative into a complex capital markets machine. The old pitch was buy Bitcoin, never sell, increase Bitcoin per share. The new structure has preferred stock, convertible debt, reserves, buybacks, dividend obligations, and now a BTC monetization plan. That shift matters because Bitcoin does not produce cash flow. Preferred dividends and interest expense do. Strategy says it has about $2.55B in USD reserves and roughly $1.76B in annual preferred dividend and interest obligations. That sounds like about 17 months of coverage, but that number is static. It assumes no future dividend increases, no stress, no buybacks, no taxes, no transaction costs, and no deterioration in capital market access. If they keep raising the STRC dividend to defend the price near par, the cash burn rises and the runway gets shorter. The Digital Credit Problem STRC is marketed as digital credit, but economically it behaves like a high yield perpetual preferred stock tied to confidence in a Bitcoin balance sheet. It is not normal debt because there is no traditional maturity. It is not common equity because it sits ahead of common shareholders and carries a large cash distribution expectation. The design is clever but circular. STRC’s dividend can be adjusted to keep the security near $99 to $100. The dividend was raised to 12%, which may support the price, but it also raises cash burn. If STRC trades below par, Strategy may raise the dividend again. If the dividend rises, the reserve coverage shrinks. If cash gets tight, Strategy needs new issuance, reserves, or Bitcoin sales. Qwen3 TTS (1.7B Q4_K_M) + mainline llama.cpp is officially the fastest way to generate zero shot voice clones using 100% pure CPU execution. Following up on my last post where we ran the Q8 model on a GPU, we just took local C++ voice synthesis a massive step further. The open source community quantized Alibaba's SOTA Qwen3 TTS model down to Q4_K_M GGUF, completely freeing local audio pipelines from dedicated graphics hardware. Here is the real world benchmark and hardware breakdown of running SOTA voice cloning on CPU: # Architecture & Model Setup Using Qwen3-TTS-12Hz-1.7B-Base-Q4_K_M.gguf paired with the 8 bit multimodal projector (mmproj-Q8_0.gguf), llama.cpp executes the entire pipeline in pure C++. No PyTorch, no CUDA dependencies, and no VRAM bottlenecks. # Real-World Memory Footprint - Baseline RAM: 1.6 GB system idle. - Peak Generation RAM: 8 GB RAM during active voice synthesis. - Requirement: Any basic machine with at least 8 GB of system RAM can run this easily. # Real World CPU Benchmarks - Google Colab Free Tier (Throttled 2 Core CPU): Synthesizes a 5 sec studio quality audio clip (~8 words) in 45 seconds. - Modern Consumer CPU (Intel i5/i7 13th/14th Gen or AMD Ryzen 7000/9000): generation should drop to 5 to 20 seconds (nearly 1:1 real-time generation speed!). # Zero Shot Voice Cloning Quality Pass any 5 to 20 second .wav audio sample to the C++ engine using the --tts-speaker-file flag.
