Cleaning up underbrush. Installing mesh. Learning which plants are... highly flammable and which aren't. Easy, right? Not even close. But over time, Hugh Council shows us that defensible space and curb appeal aren't mutually exclusive. Progress can be made, and your yard can still look good doing it. Work in progress doesn't mean unfinished. It means moving forward, one task at a time. 📹 Full video: #CAWildfires #DefensibleSpace #WildfirePreparedness #ReadyForWildfireshow more

even so, I trust that any new watcher will... be able to pick up what's going on. The people who made the OVAs shown from time and time again that they have faith in their viewers that they'll be able to understand the world building that culminated to this point. You can start the other shows prior to this, either before or after this OVA and it will still feel like a proper climax leading up to this. The story beats in this show are pretty good in the sense that anyone can understand it, it's not universally profound but it does a good job in highlighting perspectives of every side and have a glimpse at what happened that lead up to it.show more

🚨The Clarity Act just made it out of committee.... THAT IS A WIN, no question. And yes, I believe American-made digital assets like $XRP $HBAR $XLM $ONDO $TEL $ZBCN $ADA $LINK $ALGO and others will benefit over the long term. BUT SLOW DOWN! This does not mean you sell your house and lever yourself to the moon. This is not the finish line. This is the warm-up lap. There is still more work ahead. The Senate still has to debate it, vote on it, and work through the rest of the process. Then it goes to the President’s desk. And even after that, the real regulatory work begins. So yes, enjoy the progress. Raise a glass tonight if you want. But do not bet the farm. The rails are being built. This is a long-term shift. Do not expect straight-up price action from here. There can still be shakeouts. There can still be pullbacks. There can still be downtrends that test your conviction. But if you zoom out and look at the bigger picture, the direction still looks up to me. That is why I keep saying patience matters. Clarity will not reward the most emotional people. It will reward the people who stay focused long enough to let the thesis play out. Do you have the guts to think long term and hold for generational gains? 👇show more

Many people only see the medals, records, and great... photos, but there is so much more behind them. Daily training sessions, discipline, early mornings, pushing through exhaustion, and a constant desire to improve. A huge amount of time, effort, and emotion is invested in sports. At the same time, sports are not only about victories. There is always a risk of injury, which can keep an athlete away from training for a long time or even bring a sporting career to an end. That is why it is so important to follow safety rules, take care of your health, and never neglect recovery. Behind every athlete is a tremendous amount of hard work that often goes unnoticed, but it is this work that leads to success.show more

✨ Made a new mini feature on Photo AI:... [ Grab from 3d model ] So the problem is we're at that stage in time (typical for AI) where image-to-3d models are not good enough but are fun to play with, but we know they'll be good enough in 1-2 years With [ Make 3d model ] you already can turn any Photo AI pic into a 3d model but it still looks hyper clunky and deformed, but it works! One cool idea I had to make that more useful and made now: Let people make a 3d model then change the view of the it with the 3d viewer, then press [ o ] and it grabs a frame of the 3d That image you can then [ Remix ] (img2img), and it becomes a real photo again and that in turn you can then turn into a video again with [ Make video ] So that essentially gives you a fully freeform camera position control to take photos with One thing I need to fix is the background/skybox, I kinda need to take the original photo and remove the person and just get the background for the 3d model viewer, in this case it should be white, but it's a start!show more

I’m probably one of the only Teslanaires out there,... if not one of the very few, still cutting my own hair. I cut my own hair again today, and it reminded me that becoming a multi-millionaire usually isn’t a random coincidence. People see the $ and think it just happened. What they usually don’t see are the small habits behind it. Of course, I could go spend $25–$50 on a haircut that probably looks better than the one I give myself. But that’s not really what matters to me. I don’t care that much about looking perfect. I care about controlling my time. I care about staying grounded. I care about keeping the kind of habits that helped me build wealth in the first place. And honestly, I enjoy doing it. I’ve been cutting my own hair for so many years that I don’t even think about going to the barber anymore. It’s just normal to me now. It saves time, keeps me frugal, and reminds me that wealth is usually built in the small choices nobody claps for. That’s the part people miss. A lot of people see wealth and assume it was luck. But a lot of the time, it’s really the result of small disciplined habits repeated for years. Not wasting $ just bc you can. Not wasting time just bc other people do. And the funny part is, one day my fleet of Tesla Bots will probably be doing it for me anyway. But until then, I’m good doing it myself. Bc to me, being wealthy was never about trying to look rich. It was about building a mindset. A mindset that values time, discipline, and freedom more than appearances. And once you really live that way, it shows up in a lot of things, even something as simple as cutting your own hair.show more

Being sore all the time is not a badge.... It means: - Your volume is too high - Your recovery is in deficit - Your next session is compromised - Your nervous system is still cleaning up the last one - Your growth is being throttled by accumulated damage Soreness is a sign you did something. It is not a sign you did the right thing. A trained muscle in a sensible programme should rarely be sore at all. The first few weeks of a new stimulus, yes. After that, your body adapts. The soreness fades. The growth carries on without it. People treat this as a problem to solve. They add drop sets. They add finishers. They chase the burn. They want that next-day ache back because the ache feels like proof. It is not proof. It is damage your body now has to repair before it can build anything new. The lifters making the most progress walk out of the gym feeling worked but not wrecked. They train the same muscle again 72 hours later because they can. The sore-every-day brigade train it again in a week and call it advanced programming. It's just bad arithmetic.show more

Introducing: Control Tower. After running agencies for over a... decade, three problems were clear: 1. Task management tools aren't built for client work—the constant back-and-forth, the private and public feedback loops. 2. Financial tools don't understand service businesses. We need to know what's coming in, what clients owe, when they're paying, and how that stacks up against what we're paying our team. 3. We need easy tools to track and manage our team's capacity in real-time. But here's the thing—these tools need to work together. When you work with clients, your team's capacity dictates the projects you can take on. The projects you take on dictate your revenue. And the pace of those projects restarts the entire cycle. That's what Control Tower does. Today we're announcing the foundations: Tasks, financials, and capacity. Very soon we'll be introducing Chief—the AI layer that connects everything and works proactively to keep your team moving. We built this from the ground up to be agent-native. What we have today is good. It's not great yet. There's a lot of work to do, and a lot we haven't even shipped to our beta users. I'd love for you to check it out. Sign up for the beta—we're inviting people as quickly as we can and doing personal walkthroughs.show more

The Sabotaging Practice of Over Supply and Sameness in... the NFT Space. The current zeitgeist of the NFT space is that the same artists are doing the same kind of work five times a year, with project after project leaving a trail of disappointment and discontent among collectors and all of us watching in disbelief as huge resources are extracted from the space over work that feels like it could be left as an "artist study." I understand that you can do what you want with your money as collectors, but we are killing the whole space with this incestuous practice. No artist is that prolific to be able to do 5 collections of 100+ pieces each every year and actually deliver innovation and some kind of creative evolution. Of course, they can pretend play that the work has something new, but there is no precedent nor proof that that has ever happened in the speed that it happens in the NFT space. Again, people are free to through away their resources on whatever they want but with this way of doing things, we more and more are going to start seeing the consequences. Oh! There are consequences? Yes. Maybe unintended, but there are. Let's see. Let's start with the loss of belief in the NFT space as somewhere where emerging artists can come and find support for their experiments. Why even bother to bring experiments, innovation, and new ways to think of art on the blockchain if the same people have all the collectors hypnotized with their magical flutes? Why even try to come to a space where taking risks and challenging the status quo (the mission of art!!!) is overlooked? This makes the NFT space a social club and not a space for art. I guess it is fine, but IMO it is a recipe for disaster. New collectors stay away because the art will slowly but surely become stale and un-challenging. Why even bother to come and see what is happening here if you can't, as a collector, see new weird and up-and-coming artists? The amount of noise emitted by the same artists doing the same art over and over, drowns out any new voices. Again. A recipe for disaster. The NFT space is becoming a space of disappointment and doubt. We think that collections going to zero one after the other, over and over, is not damaging? I feel we are kidding ourselves. Disappointment piles up, and again, the people who will hurt are the emerging artists, the new blood, the ones who are willing to risk the most and, in return, put fire in this cold space of sameness. I love this space—don't get me wrong—it has changed my life, and I believe it has a ton of potential, but things need to change for it to become a beacon of light in art. But we need to support new voices. We need to support new ideas. The challenge is huge. I hope to contribute all I can to this change. I hope more and more see how exciting it is to go out and try to discover what else is out there and move this space forward. But again, I understand the leaps of faith needed, but if there is a space that is based on that, it's the NFT space...so there is hope. We will see. 📺by Boldtronshow more

It takes GRIT and sacrifice to play Div 1... Soccer. Self reflect and ask yourself these questions: 1. Will you get up for early AM lifts and not just drag yourself there but arrive happy and energized, eager to work and motivate your teammates? 2. Are you ready to miss family events—weddings, birthdays and be separated from your parents for longer than you ever have before? 3. Can you manage every aspect of your life for the first time by yourself, before you even throw in the rigors and demands of a sport? 4. Can you survive in an environment where you are defined by your sport and have very little social life existence outside of athletic and academic obligations? 5. Can you handle the mental challenge of going from the super star to possibly bottom of the roster, sitting on the bench, and/or not traveling with the team? 6. Will you be genuinely happy for your roommate who is getting all the playing time and attention while you’re getting none? If all answers are a resounding YES than you are built for this, but it’s not for everyone. And actually not for most. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it. During training, you visit many of the facilities that... will eventually play a role in your mission. Kennedy Space Center’s Launch Complex 39A was one of them. This visit felt different. Standing at the base of the tower and looking up, I was reminded that this is the very place from which Neil Armstrong and his crewmates began their journey to the Moon. The facility has evolved over the decades and has been modernized for a new era of spaceflight, but it still carries the weight of its history. You can feel it. Then there is the elevator. Inside, there are only two buttons: Earth and Space. A simple design choice, perhaps, but one that feels remarkably profound when launch day finally arrives. What you see here is me at the top of the launch pad, with the Falcon 9 yet to make its way out. The rocket is transported to the pad horizontally and then raised to a vertical position before launch. Standing there, it was impossible not to imagine the events that would soon unfold. At this very time last year, all of this was happening in real time. Looking back now, it feels both distant and incredibly close. #shux #space #shubhanshushukla #india #axiom4show more

This man shows us what we as dog owners... should all be doing. It could save the life of your dog. Most dog owners don't realize this….that slimy layer in your dog's bowl isn't just leftover food—it's bacteria buildup. Over time, it can contribute to upset stomachs, diarrhea, and even your dog not wanting to eat. A quick rinse isn't enough. Wash their bowl with dish soap daily. It's a small habit that makes a big difference. If you are doing this already, you are ahead of the game. But I know a lot of people don’t do this. I am guilty myself of just rinsing their bowls and not washing them. Be honest... are you rinsing or actually washing your dog’s food bowls daily?show more

Your baby needs a little tummy time daily. Yesterday... I wrote about crawling, noting that with sleep recommendations now (wisely) advising infants sleep only on their backs, babies are spending less and less time in a downward facing position - making it all the more important that parents build well supervised tummy time into their daily routines. Tummy time has many benefits. Primary among them, it strengthens the back, neck and arm muscles that help with holding up the head, rolling over, sitting and crawling. It also helps to decrease the incidence of flat spots on the back of your baby’s head. And it can help relieve gas and constipation, just to name a few. You can begin short, supervised periods of tummy time as soon as your child is born. These earliest sessions often begin on mom’s chest - but can be done on other safe surfaces as well. Begin with 2-3 minutes at a time and work your way up. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends increasing the frequency and duration of these sessions to the point your baby spends a total of 20-30 minutes a day by the time your baby is 7 weeks old. Be forewarned that, especially early on, tummy time is a workout (and therefore not always well liked by some children) - but with time and experience will help to develop the muscle strength your newborn lacks. This little one (shared to IG by enjoybabyss) has got tummy time down pat. Check out those strong neck muscles!show more

This work makes a humanoid robot do simple parkour... moves by looking with a depth camera and choosing the right move on the fly. The big deal is that it turns lots of small human moves into long, real-time robot behavior, without hand-coding every transition or retraining for each new course. A humanoid robot is usually good at steady walking, but it often fails when it has to do fast moves like jumping up, vaulting, or rolling, and then keep going to the next obstacle. The hard part is that you cannot easily collect training data for every possible obstacle shape, distance, and mistake, so robots end up learning a few moves that only work in a narrow setup. This work starts from short clips of real human parkour moves, like stepping over, vaulting, climbing, and rolling. It uses motion matching, which is basically a smart “pick the next clip that fits best right now” search, to stitch those short clips into a long, smooth plan that looks like a human doing a whole course. Then it trains a controller with reinforcement learning (RL), which means the robot learns by trial and error to copy that plan while staying balanced and not falling. After training separate expert controllers for different moves, it compresses them into 1 controller that uses only onboard depth sensing and a simple “go this fast in this direction” command. In real tests on a Unitree G1 humanoid, it can clear multiple obstacles in a row, adapt when obstacles get moved, and climb a wall up to 1.25m.show more

💔It was the worst night yet, the shooting at... our homes lasted the entire night, and bombs dropped continously nearby. I am not doing well, my friends. We are dying faster than at any other point in time. Everything is hard to come by, food, fuel, supplies, it is all becoming rarer every day. Food for animals is almost non-existent, cats are eating things that are not good for them, and dogs are stuck with whatever can be found for them. 🫂It is only with your generosity and support that we can even distribute food and water that keeps the poor people at the camp alive, and I hope you will continue to support us so that we can work for as long as necessary, my friends. Without your support, I fear what will happen to us all, and the situation that we will be left in. Please help if you can, we are so very desperate to survive this nightmare. I am so grateful for everything you have done for us so far, and I hope one day soon I will not need to beg you, and that we can live a normal life, free from this horror and terror that fills our lives with hell.. I've rewritten this several times, but I can't find... any better way to say it... so here it goes. One of the things I'm scared of most, is time. Particularly, time that is wasted. There's a sundial that hangs on my wall with an inscription that says, "I have done nothing good today, I have lost a day." X has always been a place where I wanted to put out things that didn't waste anyone's time. Whatever post I put out, whatever thought, whatever story, comment,... whatever it was, was worth the time for you to read it, and for me to create it. Because I know, in my bones, that the time we have is precious and thought of wasting even a minute of yours or mine doing something worthless, is genuinely one of my greatest fears. As we were walking down this mountain together, my son looks up at me and says, "Dad... God made me VERY good at hiking." I laughed and say, "Yeah he did!" A couple minutes go by and he stops, he turns at looks at me, and goes: "Dad, God made you VERY good at work and work is very important..." That got me. I often worry that my work pulls me too far away from my kids. Even more than that... ...I know that what I do on X does cause and will cause life to be harder for my kids than if I chose to remain silent Walking off that mountain, one of my deepest fears about wasting time was answered by the very person I was afraid I might be hurting. As a dad, that means everything.show more

Many still misunderstand Elon and Tesla's mission Elon has... a deep concern for humanity, which is why he takes on the toughest problems He's doing it because if he doesn't, nobody will Tesla started the EV revolution... before, nobody even wanted to build EVs. Literally nobody wanted to do it Everyone treated EVs like boring golf carts It was not easy. Being first in the industry means you have to build everything from the ground up, and there is no one you can learn from Tesla got very close to bankruptcy many times... often weeks away Combustion engines had over 150 years of innovation but for EVs, it was the last 15 years that truly made the difference And look at the result: Tesla didn't just build a successful EV; the Tesla Model Y has been the best-selling car in the world for three consecutive years (2023–2025), beating every single gas vehicle on Earth Not to mention, Tesla had to build the entire charging infrastructure from scratch, creating a massive global Supercharger network just so people could drive their cars reliably Other EVs also heavily rely on this network, and Tesla is still helping the competition by opening up their chargers and open-sourcing their patents so anyone can use them for free Without Elon, the world would still be lagging in gas enginesshow more

Another score in the 60s! Round 2 of The... Manchester Open at Didsbury Golf Club Backed up yesterday’s 67 (-2) with a 69 (Level) today. Didn’t quite strike it as well as I have in previous rounds, but managed my way around and kept it tidy. Only a couple of mental errors which cost me and some horrible lip outs! Another round in the 60s and another step in the right direction. This puts me at T31 in a deep field full of top PGA pros — a solid position, but still around 10 shots off the winning score. Plenty of work ahead, and I know I need to keep pushing to close that gap. Really happy with how the season is shaping up and the progress I’m making. Big thanks to my playing partners over the past few days, always makes a difference having a good group out there. Onward and upward! #trusttheprocessshow more

Marcus Freeman said, "You can't talk your way into... winning a National Championship. You can't talk your way into being a Hall of Famer...You got to work and you got to constantly focus on improvement." You have to show up and do the work. Your work ethic is something that you can control. • It means competing. • It means committing. • It means showing up consistently. People see success, but they don't see the hard work and preparation it takes. 5 Steps to Improve Your Work Ethic and Focus: 1. Be Intentional About How Your Work - Show up every day with a clear purpose on what you will prepare and why. Think about the quality of your practice, the details, and reflect on where to focus most. This approach ensures your working towards improvement and growth. 2. Show up Committed Every Day - Don't just participate, show up, and commit. It means compete and choose to go above-and-beyond every day. Have a positive attitude and dedicate yourself to what you are doing. When you're focused, present, and engaged that is when growth starts to happen. 3. Be Consistent - You have to be consistent with your habits and work ethic. It means committing to the process of improving and putting in the time. Success doesn't happen overnight, it's the result of consistently showing up and doing the work day in and day out. 4. Prepare Mentally and Physically - This means think about your physical and mental state when you are practicing and when you will perform. Understand what environment allows you to perform your best. Use mindfulness to think about the connection between your mind and body. 5. Create a Plan for When Obstacles Arise - Don’t just imagine the great outcome, visualize what may stop you from reaching it. Prepare for the obstacles. Write them down and plan how you’ll overcome them. This keeps you prepared and resilient when challenges come your way. Takeaway: Talent can you get you into many rooms, but it's your work ethic, focus, and attitude that keep you there. - - - The video comes from Marcus Freeman's interview with Pivot Podcast.
