🚨 Sanju Samson: "I’m ready to take on any... responsibility for CSK."🚨 Interviewer: "Sanju, with Ruturaj failing, would you like to lead CSK?" Sanju Samson: Definitely. I’m absolutely ready to take on any responsibility for CSK. I have captaincy experience, and I believe I can use it effectively for the team’s benefit. So far, CSK haven’t achieved much under Ruturaj’s captaincy. He’s a poor captain, even if you give him the world’s best XI, I don’t think he could take them to the IPL playoffs. If CSK offer me the captaincy, I’ll gladly accept it. Ruturaj hasn’t been able to deliver, so now I feel I need to step up and do something for CSK.show more

"Filmed four days ago at Memorial Hospital in Seattle,... Washington. Eight days ago, Officer Ryan Mitchell, 32, Seattle PD K9 Unit, and his six-year-old Belgian Malinois partner Atlas responded to an armed robbery call. Mitchell was shot twice in the shoulder and side. Atlas stood over him growling at everyone even paramedics until they convinced him they were helping. Mitchell survived surgery but spent eight days in ICU. The department pushed hard for a hospital exception, explaining Atlas had been inconsolable - refusing food, refusing other handlers, just pacing and crying. The hospital agreed to one visit. Footage shows Mitchell bandaged in bed as Officer Garcia brings Atlas in on leash. Atlas stops completely, staring, like he can't believe what he's seeing. Mitchell extends his arm: "Come here, buddy." Atlas breaks into a careful run, jumps onto the bed, and lies down across Mitchell's chest, deliberately avoiding his injuries. Mitchell wraps both arms around him and cries. Atlas presses his head under his chin and stays perfectly still. "We've never allowed a K9 in ICU before," Mitchell's doctor told us. "But that reunion made me understand why we had to. That dog needed to see his partner alive and breathing." Atlas refused to leave the bed after his hour-long visit - it took twenty minutes to coax him down. Mitchell goes home to Atlas next week. Sometimes your K9 partner stands guard over you when you're down, and all you need is to hold each other again.show more

🚨 BLACK FRIDAY IS OFFICIALLY A SCAM - AND... SAM’S CLUB JUST GOT CAUGHT RED-HANDED A shopper filmed a “Black Friday deal” for $15.98… Then looked behind the sign and found the regular price was LOWER - $14.98. "They are SCAMMING us guys! I can't believe it. " They didn’t discount it. They raised the price then slapped a “Black Friday” sticker on it. This isn’t a sale. This is manufactured savings - the kind that only works if nobody checks the shelf behind it. People in the comments say this SAME item was $8.99 over the summer. Now stores are hiking prices because it’s Black Friday and still calling it a deal. Everyone’s starting to notice the same thing at different stores. It’s not one mistake - it’s a pattern. Are ANY Black Friday deals real anymore, or are stores just betting that we won’t double check the price tag?show more

I've seen him at the IPL, and one of the problems he might discover in English cricket is that we do not have an MS Dhoni to be his captain. He was simply breathtaking throughout the WC. It appeared that justice was finally served & he will be there in the team & will serve Indian cricket well but it all turned in a span of few days. He seems to be a forgotten hero now. How can the management let him go despite all the heroics? Something should have been done to safeguard him for all the good work he had done a few months ago. Another superlative achievement by the Joseph Vijay administration -... a source of unbearable urinal stench in the garb of a TASMAC bar has finally been shut down in Shenoy Nagar! Residents of Shenoy Nagar, which falls under the Anna Nagar constituency, are jumping in joy because the TASMAC bar on First Cross Street (allegedly owned by a DMK-linked strongman), which had been a major nuisance and headache for residents for years, has finally been shut down. People say this has brought enormous relief to the locality. Mind you, this TASMAC bar was located barely 500 feet away from a government girls’ school. Despite repeated complaints from residents over the years, and despite the proximity to a girls’ school, no serious effort was allegedly made earlier to shut it down. This TASMAC outlet had effectively become a permanent stench point in an otherwise decent residential neighborhood. Respectable families avoided using that road altogether whether for walking, riding, or even driving. People allegedly consumed alcohol openly outside the TASMAC shop, on roadsides, near parked vehicles, and in full public view. The bar reportedly had no proper toilet facilities, which led to the unbearable urine stench that engulfed the area for years. For any decent resident, the entire stretch had become an eyesore and a public-health nuisance. Finally, it has now been shut down. This is yet another testament to the resolve shown by CMOTamilNadu to crack down on TASMAC bars located near schools, colleges, hospitals, residential zones, and places of worship. After many years, residents have finally started using this road comfortably again for daily commute, as the bar had reportedly remained a nuisance throughout both the DMK and ADMK regimes. People say it was Anna Nagar TVK Party HQ MLA #RamKumar who persistently pushed for the removal, coordinated with multiple authorities, and ultimately ensured that it happened. Not only was the TASMAC bar shut down, but the locality has also reportedly been freed from the nuisance, disorderly crowd, and unbearable urine stench associated with it. Residents of Shenoy Nagar are profusely thanking Anna Nagar MLA #RamKumar for this intervention. And ultimately, none of this would likely have happened without the administrative backing and go-ahead provided by CMOTamilNadu Joseph Vijay!show more

🚨BREAKING: NYPD officer who threw a cooler at a... fleeing drug dealer has been sentenced to 3–9 years in prison. In 2023, Sgt. Erik Duran was part of a drug sting in the Bronx when a suspect sped away on a scooter toward two officers making another arrest. Trying to protect them, Duran threw a cooler, knocking the suspect off the scooter and causing fatal head injuries. Despite an exemplary record, he was convicted of manslaughter. At sentencing, Judge Guy Mitchell rejected the defense that Duran was safeguarding his team. The judge stated that Duran should have simply let the suspect drive by, adding that "he could've been captured another day." This verdict and sentence represent a profound miscarriage of justice. Activist judges are sending officers who risk their lives to serve and protect to prison, while career criminals continue to terrorize NYC streets with little consequence. The conviction of Sgt. Duran sends a dangerous and unprecedented message: police officers can no longer risk prison for split-second decisions to protect their colleagues or the public. Instead, every suspect, no matter how dangerous or evasive, must be handled with kid gloves. This indefensible outcome undermines law enforcement morale and public safety. It is a shameful day for justice in New York.show more

Just delivering flowers to heaven to my old man,... Rocky "Soulman" Johnson. My dad, along with "Mr USA", Tony Atlas made pro wrestling history by becoming the first ever Black Heavyweight Tag Team Champions for the WWE. He came up the hard way, and trail-blazed for all of us men of color - in any sport & level of entertainment. But it was also very important to him to pave the way for all men, any color - it didn't matter. My regret in this life is that I never had a chance to say goodbye to him, because he died suddenly. I regret not reconciling our complicated father/son shit before I lost him. Raised me with tough fatherly love and an even tougher hand. The more I live life, the more grateful I am for it. BREAKING: President Donald J. Trump just signed an executive... order implementing Most Favored Nation prescription drug pricing — which will deliver dramatically lower drug prices for the American people. Here's what it does: REDUCING DRUG PRICES FOR AMERICANS AND TAXPAYERS: Today, President Donald J. Trump signed an Executive Order to bring the prices Americans and taxpayers pay for prescription drugs in line with those paid by similar nations. — The Order directs the U.S. Trade Representative and Secretary of Commerce to take action to ensure foreign countries are not engaged in practices that purposefully and unfairly undercut market prices and drive price hikes in the United States. — The Order instructs the Administration to communicate price targets to pharmaceutical manufacturers to establish that America, the largest purchaser and funder of prescription drugs in the world, gets the best deal. — The Secretary of Health and Human Services will establish a mechanism through which American patients can buy their drugs directly from manufacturers who sell to Americans at a “Most-Favored-Nation” price, bypassing middlemen. — If drug manufacturers fail to offer most-favored-nation pricing, the Order directs the Secretary of Health and Human Services to: (1) propose rules that impose most-favored-nation pricing; and (2) take other aggressive measures to significantly reduce the cost of prescription drugs to the American consumer and end anticompetitive practices. GETTING A BETTER DEAL FOR AMERICANS: President Trump is once again taking action to keep pharmaceutical manufacturers from charging Americans high drug prices while giving steep discounts to other wealthy nations. — According to recent data, the prices Americans pay for brand-name drugs are more than three times the price other OECD nations pay, even after accounting for discounts manufacturers provide in the U.S. — The United States has less than five percent of the world’s population, yet funds roughly 75% of global pharmaceutical profits. — Drug manufacturers discount their products to gain access to foreign markets and then subsidize those discounts through high prices charged in America—in essence, Americans are subsidizing drug-manufacturer profits and foreign health systems, despite drug manufacturers benefiting from generous research subsidies and enormous healthcare spending by the U.S. Government. — In his first term, President Trump took historic action to keep Medicare and seniors from paying more for drugs than economically comparable countries, which the Biden Administration rescinded before it could take effect. — Instead of fixing this problem, the Biden Administration’s greatest achievement was to negotiate prices that were, on average, 78 percent higher than in 11 comparable countries as part of Biden’s effort to “beat Medicare.” DELIVERING ON PROMISES TO PUT AMERICAN PATIENTS FIRST: President Trump is delivering on his promise to once again put America first by furthering efforts to get American patients and taxpayers a fair deal for prescription drugs. — This Order builds on actions from President Trump’s first term to make progress on reducing price disparities at home and expands those efforts by including Medicaid in addition to Medicare. — President Trump recently signed an Executive Order to take additional action to lower drug prices, including by providing massive discounts to low-income patients for lifesaving medicines, facilitating importation programs, and increasing the availability of generic and biosimilar medicines. — President Trump is also working to make drug prices radically transparent, as he recently signed an Executive Order to build on his historic price transparency efforts undertaken during his first term. — President Trump has been relentless in his effort to address the unfair and outrageous prices Americans pay for prescription drugs: — President Trump: “In case after case, our citizens pay massively higher prices than other nations pay for the same exact pill, from the same factory, effectively subsidizing socialism aboard [abroad] with skyrocketing prices at home. So we would spend tremendous amounts of money in order to provide inexpensive drugs to another country. And when I say the price is different, you can see some examples where the price is beyond anything — four times, five times different.”show more

"I'm a K9 officer in central Ohio. Five years... ago I drove down to the training facility to pick out my dog from a litter of twelve German Shepherd puppies. By the time I got there, eleven had already been claimed by other officers. The one left was the smallest. Nobody had wanted him. I took him home anyway. Last spring, that dog dragged me 47 feet across the asphalt of a gas station parking lot with three rounds in my vest, and bit a man who was walking up with a handgun to finish what he had started. I'm alive because of the runt of the litter. I'm Officer Brennan Vasiliev. I'm 38 years old. I'm with the Franklin County Sheriff's Office in central Ohio. I've been a deputy for 13 years. I've been in the K9 unit for the last six. I want to tell you about how I ended up with Hero. In April of 2020, our department was rotating two new K9 officers into our existing unit. I had finally moved up the waiting list after four years of trying. I had been a patrol deputy with a clean record, an above-average pistol score, and the kind of dog-handling background — I had grown up on a working farm in southeast Ohio with two working dogs my whole childhood — that made me a reasonable candidate. I was the junior of the two new K9 handlers. The other handler, a senior deputy named Sergeant Marcus Holloway who had been with the unit before and was returning after taking time off to recover from a back injury, had first pick. The selection day was on a Tuesday in late April of 2020. We drove down to a working-line German Shepherd breeder in southern Ohio called Riverstone Kennels, run by a woman named Petra Linde who has been training and supplying police K9s for 26 years. The litter she had for us was twelve puppies. Eight weeks old. Working-line stock, bred from imported European parents. All twelve had been pre-tested for trainability, drive, nerve, and structure by Petra and our department's training officer over the previous two weeks. Eleven puppies had been picked already by handlers from other departments who had come through over the previous week. When Sergeant Holloway and I arrived, one puppy remained. He was in a small grass-fenced play area by himself. The other puppies of his litter had all been collected and prepared for transport to their new departments. He was alone in the play yard. He was the smallest of the litter. Petra told us he had weighed in at the bottom of the litter every week of his life. He had been the last one to nurse. He had been the last one to walk. He had passed his trainability tests — Petra would not have offered him to a police department if he hadn't — but he had passed them at the bottom of the curve. He was eight weeks old. He weighed about eleven pounds. He had oversized paws and ears that were just starting to stand up. He had the standard black-and-tan coloring of a working-line Shepherd, with one small white spot on the tip of his chest. Sergeant Holloway looked at the file Petra handed him. He looked at the puppy in the play yard. He looked at me. He said, "Vasiliev. You came up the waiting list. You take him. I'll wait for the next litter." I said, "Sarge. You have first pick. He's yours if you want him." Sergeant Holloway said, "Vasiliev. I have two herniated discs and I'm 49 years old. I need a dog with a build that's already developed. I'll wait two more months for Petra's June litter. You take this one. Take care of him." I walked into the play yard. The puppy was sitting in the grass with his back to me, watching a butterfly. I knelt down about six feet from him. He turned around. He stood up on his oversized paws. He walked right up to me and he sat down on top of my left boot. I want to tell you what happened next, what I named him on the drive home, and what he did five years later when three rounds came through my vest in a gas station parking lot in central Ohio."show more
