The night before, I was sure the Ministry of Education would cancel school but they didn’t. So we came. It started like a normal day, until the third class. The bombings grew louder. Closer. My students, just nine years old, began to panic. I was terrified too, but I had to be their shield. I immediately stopped the lesson, turned the loud speakers on, and played their favorite song.
