Coates has had a lengthy battle with an achilles issue - he indicated a partial tear was discovered post season 2025 that he attempted to rehab for months. Then he underwent surgery earlier this year to remove a bone spur & bursa around the achilles. Now worst case scenario with a complete tendon rupture. Achilles repair surgery usually involves a 5-8 month recovery period - one of the toughest rehab processes & players often take even longer to return to their best. The Daniel Jones Achilles injury is awful in so... many ways. But I do want to shed a light on his toughness. He was already playing with a broken bone in his fibula… Then he ruptured his Achilles and still chose to walk off the field instead of using a cart. And later in the game, he was back on the sideline supporting his teammates and helping QB Riley Leonard. This man’s toughness, competitiveness, and love for the sport and his teammates are unquestioned. And that deserves respect.show more

Jock Madden missed the past 4 weeks after requiring... surgery on his testicles. Madden indicates he copped a knee to the groin at training that resulted in a haematoma in his testicles, which is a pooling of blood that forms a raised lump. He was rushed in for surgery hours after the incident. Thankfully if treatment is performed within 2-3 days 90% make a full recovery with no long term implications (fertility etc)show more

🇵🇱 This Nigerian man beat a 23-year-old Polish man... with 20-kilogram exercise hammer, but now the Nigerian will be released with no prison sentence. The incident happened in February 2025, when police reports indicate that the Nigerian attacked the Polish man for no apparent reason. The Polish man was hospitalized with injuries. The Polish victim reportedly dodged a blow to his head that could have killed him. It took at least 6 officers to subdue the Nigerian man. Once arrested, he was charged with attempted murder, with a potential life sentence ahead of him. However, after a 3-month temporary detention, he was released, with the court arguing he was not responsible for his actions at the time because he was on drugs, which rendered him legally insane.show more

Jacob Liddle won’t return after suffering what the Dragons... say is a suspected calf injury. Non-contact step back + push off mechanism and had the “look behind to see who kicked me.” Mechanism has all the makings of an achilles injury, but is one of the easiest for medical staff to diagnose with hands on tests. So Dragons report of calf injury + location of ice higher up on lower leg is a big positive. Mitch McConnell announced Thursday he has been discharged from the rehabilitation center and will continue recovering at home. In a statement he said: “Earlier today, I was discharged from the rehabilitation center to continue my recovery at home.” McConnell added that he and his wife Elaine “are grateful for the many well wishes and support,” and will “maintain an intensive regimen of physical therapy from home” while staying engaged on important Senate business.
