Dr Elisabeth Potter submitted for one of her patients to have surgery at a particular outpatient center Without asking her or the patient, the insurance company called a cheaper hospital, asked if they had availability, and then scheduled her patient at that hospital to have Dr Potter do the surgery there instead of at the preferred center “This is insane. The patient doesn't want her surgery in a hospital. I know that she'll have a better experience and outcome at Redbud Surgery Center. They're calling the scheduling office of the hospital and questioning my plan and telling me what to do I can't explain how absurd this feels.
