i ran into zohran while he was out &... about, got to chat with him briefly, & my god this dude is definitively a once in a generation politician. i mean he is remarkably difficult to dislike. he always has that giant smile, never seems overly performative, & does stuff like this all the time around the city. overall the dude is great. now, if he toned down some of the crazier government run stuff, price controls, rent freezes, etc. he’d unquestionably go down as legendary.show more

Are tips in America getting out of hand? This... DoorDash deliveryman in Miami was caught on camera spitting on the food that he had just delivered in front of an apartment building. He allegedly spit on the food because he was upset that the 13-year-old customer left too small of a tip, after ordering their food online, via the app. The man reportedly only had to travel less than a mile. Why does my cat stalk towards me as though... I am prey? I only caught the tail end of this occurrence in the video, but about once a week I notice my cat (5 months) stalking towards me like this (she typically starts from much farther away and goes even slower). The weirdest part to me is that she only really does it towards me, not my husband. I’ve also seen her stalk prey before and she doesn’t usually continuously move in slow motion like this, she typically walks forward, pauses and assesses for a while, and then goes for the kill. Usually when she does this to me, she ends up snapping out of it due to movement or sound elsewhere, so she’s never pounced or anything - at most she jumps up next to me and then goes back to normal. I’m a new cat owner so this may be typical behavior, but it is so bizarre to me that this behavior seems reserved for me alone - not my husband, not our dog who she loves wrestling with (thanks reddit for clearing that up), and not the bugs she preys on. I was laughing in this video because she was cracking me up, but sometimes it genuinely freaks me out a bit, I feel like prey and I don’t like it 😶 I would love to hear any thoughts on the matter, if nothing else just enjoy this clip of my cat being an apex predator lolshow more
