#DC : Movie Review 💥🍿 Arun Matheashwaran is the... real show-stealer. Despite the low expectations after his previous outing, I always wondered why someone as talented as him hadn't achieved bigger success. With DC, he has proved that he belongs among the top league of directors. The writing and screenplay are beautifully crafted. Both halves of the film kept me thoroughly satisfied in every aspect. Lokesh Kanagaraj, despite being trolled for his looks and other reasons, has silenced the criticism with his performance. What an impressive act! He absolutely shines, especially during the interval block, which is a complete banger. Kollywood has found another hero, and he is more than welcome. Anirudh—wow! He has absolutely blown me away. The background score and songs are the heart and soul of the film, elevating every moment to the next level. This is pure musical madness from him for his friend Loki. Sanjana's screen time is limited but highly impactful. On the other hand, Wamiqa Gabbi literally carries the film alongside Lokesh with an equally strong presence. The supporting cast, especially those who share screen space with Lokesh, have all done a fantastic job. The head cop's character is perfectly written and aptly portrayed. DC carries a simple social message beneath its action-packed revenge drama, but it's the treatment that makes it truly worth watching. Today feels emotional, heavy, and deeply fulfilling at the... same time. Yesterday, when I came across a video showing the condition of Dasari Narayana Rao garu’s resting place, it genuinely disturbed me. For someone who shaped countless lives, inspired generations, and continues to guide us through his legacy every single day, it was painful to witness. What made it even more emotional was that today happened to be his Vardhanthi. 🙏🏻 Without a second thought, I felt this was the least I could do as his student. By 5:30 AM, along with my family, team members, local MLA Kale Yadaiah garu, leaders, and well wishers, we joined hands to clean and restore the premises. Doing it with my own hands brought a sense of fulfillment that words cannot describe. I must also mention that Dasari garu’s family, who have always shared a close bond with me, were not neglecting the place in any way. They were already planning activities in connection with his Vardhanthi. This initiative simply came from a personal calling and a desire to pay my respects at the earliest. Dasari garu was never just a director. He was a one man film factory, an institution, and a guiding light whose impact on Telugu cinema and on my own life remains immeasurable. Having received his affection, encouragement, and blessings from my childhood days is something I will cherish forever. Many may come forward to honor him today, and that makes me happy. But for me, being able to contribute this small gesture on his Vardhanthi felt deeply personal. Five minutes later, he was by himself, with an equipment man shooting the balls at him. At the end of my camp trip, I showed my football-obsessed first-grader (now a fourth-grader) how this player picked fifth overall was responding in the face of adversity early in his career. Almost all the rest of the players and coaches were inside. It wasn’t a show. It was a guy consumed with being the best. The Environment Agency crisis comms swings into action ahead... of the first episode of ‘Dirty Business’ tonight with the usual mix of gaslighting, cover up and half truths. They say they “act on breaches of environmental law”, but on my river, the Roding, there are dozens of illegal outfalls, spewing over a billion litres of raw sewage into the river every year and the Environment Agency has not brought a single prosecution this century. Not one! The evidence is not hard to find- many of these outfalls have been reported by the public for decades and run through parks & major population centres. There seems to be actual policy in place to just ignore rampant criminality, although we cannot say if this policy springs from inertia, incompetence, corruption or a mixture of all three. So that the EA cannot say I’m making this up, I’m going to post pictures, locations and data measurements from illegal outfalls on the Roding. First up is the Cran Brook. Running 24 hours a day, 365 days a year at least 25 litres a second and ammonia concentrations of 5-7 PPM, this river is arguably the most polluted river in London, spewing 750 million litres of sewage & landfill leachate directly into the Roding, here:show more

I’ve never shared the full inside baseball on the... inside fastball that broke my jaw April 5, 2008 at Ole Miss, we were facing projected 1st rounder and future Big Leaguer, Lance Lynn Before it became widespread, Lance had success pitching towards the top of the zone with a fastball that appeared to rise He got me out my first at bat on a high fastball that I should have laid off So my 2nd at bat I told myself to see the ball down in the zone My eyes jumped from his release point to the area I was trying to see the ball down to. I never ended up seeing the pitch until .01 before it hit me If you’ve ever gotten hit in the face, you don’t know what happened at first. So it took me about half a second to realize what happened When I did, I fully expected to spit teeth out and when I leaned over to spit and saw that only blood came out, I assumed I was fine Then I heard the Ole Miss head coach yell “it hit his bat,” because the cracking of my jaw sounded like a foul ball off a mental bat I turned around and yelled “shut the fuck up” at their dugout and proceeded on to first base My trainer came up to me and his first words were “oh fuck,” Knowing that was poor bedside manner, and that I was probably very fucked up, I joked “you’re not supposed to say that,” At that point I knew I was coming out of the game but I was so full of adrenaline that it didn’t hurt and wouldn’t begin to hurt for a couple hours Both the pitcher and coach felt so bad after it happened that both came to apologize to me at the end of the inning while I was beside their dugout being tended to by my trainer and their doctor I actually had to walk to the parking lot through the stadium seats and all the fans looked at me in horror as I had a white bloody rag hanging off my face. It was surreal watching their reactions to my blood We drove over to an Oxford medical center that was clearly not the best location for me to be in, so my coach’s wife drive me up to Nashville to get surgery that night We got swept that weekend and I got my jaw wired shut for the first of 6 weeks I stupidly tried to come back and play the following week. My coaches let me as I was medically cleared to hit with a face mask, but the rest of my season I was a different hitter I was hitting .400 at the time of the fracture, 2nd in the SEC, with 2 months left in the season I finished the year hitting .312. Meaning I flipped from one of the best hitters in the conference to one of the worst before and after the incident Despite finishing my Vandy career 7th on their all time hit list, this play is what I hear about the most when I return I’ve been lucky that I haven’t had much issues with my jaw thus far post incident, although I did find out that 2 of the nerves of the impacted teeth are dead, and I will likely need to get one of those teeth extracted at some point When they showed me the X Ray it was a clear break. A scary image that could have been WAY worse if it were 3 inches higher, as I likely would not be able to see out of my left eye (and wouldn’t be as handsome as I am) Anyway, to have interesting ideas you must have interesting experiences and this was certainly oneshow more

Everything is rehearsed. Everything is planned. Everything follows a script. So explain to me why, when it’s Jimin’s moment to execute his part —his lines, his center, his movements, his expressions— the camera suddenly cuts away, ignores him, or prioritizes other shots instead. 🎭📷 Because this is NOT accidental. ❌ And the fans can SEE IT. 👀 This is not about competing against other members. This is about professional respect for the work of EVERY member of BTS.
