During my time working in eGaming in Curaçao, I... visited Evolution’s headquarters in Latvia and Romania. Seeing their live operations firsthand raised serious doubts about the fairness of certain games, games like Monopoly Live. I was told that hosts are trained to apply specific force levels while following a teleprompter-style device powered by AI image and pattern recognition. It tells them exactly when to release the wheel and with what force, ensuring it lands within a set range — then a magnetic assist system finalizes the exact spot. One of the clips below happened while I was having coffee with a game director there. The commotion I heard turned out to be a wheel malfunction. I won’t say which one — it’s not hard to guess.show more

rosé talking about unreleased song: Q: why didn’t you... release the song? and would you ever release it? rosé: i wrote it after the album it’s more like a recent thing. that one i would love to release it. it is one of my favorite ones but and then i only realized that it was such a special song months after. I remember when I wrote it, i was like oh it’s a bit cringe that’s what i thought in the moment so it was obviously too vulnerable at the time and then i heard it again months later when i was completely over that I was like.. oh my godshow more

One distinct memory I have from playing games in... the 80s was that every once in a while I would stumble across a game that looked epic but I had exactly zero clue what to do. Wizball was such a game. Looked and sounded pretty cool, but... "where to go, what to do, and what's the goal here?" - something along those lines went through my mind at the time. I stuck with it an eventually (much later) figured it out. Do you remember a game that you played but didn't really know what the goal was or how to get there?show more

mc: during wlgyt, a poster with chungseob's back reveal... and i ask staff who was that but they didn't answer me. they didn't tell us until the end even we ask who is the actor behind it but no answer, it is bcs it's was a spoiler that needs a tight security? seonho: the director talk to me during our last team dinner that they made something like an album or something "i didn't include chungseob because i was afraid it would be a spoiler," he said. mc: your first appearance was during the closet scene right? and i was like oh? i know that actor is let me find it later but still i didn't recognize you. seonho: back then, it took almost 4 hours each time just to get the makeup and styling done. they had to attach each strand of hair one by one. so we put an incredible amount of time and effort into it and in a way, i was actually happy that people didn't recognize me. mc: and during the time that you asked permission for marriage you made a cute scene like- jungie: abonim~ mc: i heard that there's a lot of adlibs. seonho: it was bcs the director instructed me where to where to walk as other actors need to be seen on camera angles, so ofc the actors need to be on angle and while having their scene i came in while thinking 'i need to be close to my father in law while smiling' and then i started to walk towards them so i did the slapstick to fill in the gaps.. just like we do during rehearsal and the good thing about this is we filmed when IU said the "omonim~" first and i remember it to clearly and do it the same.show more

🐻: The reason why I turned on the live... for Armys.. the reason is, well, this might be kind of a TMI but also not? It’s not like someone asked me to promote their songs or something, or that I have a friend or any sort of connections with the group, it’s just I am a fan of the group Brown Eyed Soul and have been for a very long time. So I turned on the live to express and share with you their songs as a long time fan. I’m doing it for the first time. Ever since I have been a kid I have grown up listening to their songs and at one point they were my source of happiness growing up. So when I heard they are releasing a song like the fan I am naturally I got excited and wanted to publicly share this feeling with you Armys. You know how there are many fans of Brown eyed soul in musical programs or departments? I am one of them too 🐻: Today I turned on the live for this reason. I want you to listen to their songs with meshow more

Modern games can draw on infinitely more resources compared... to 80s and 90s games. Their graphics can be hyper-realistic and their worlds massive, almost to a point where you might forget that you're playing a game. And here is the thing: I don't like that. The reason I play games is because I want to feel like playing one, not to be part of an interactive movie-like experience where fiction and reality become one. Up until the early 90s, Sierra games had a very distinct art style. Space Quest III is a perfect example - it literally illustrates my point. Sierra had to "modernize" and change their style in later years, of course, to not fall behind. Their graphics became smoother and, to a degree, more mainstream. I might be one of the very few who didn’t like that particular switch. I preferred their original chunky pixel art. To me, those 80s and early 90s games will always be emblematic of Sierra’s legacy. Whenever I replay the older Sierra classics, there’s something comforting about them. They had to work with limited color palettes and low resolutions, yet every shot was packed with detail. It was easy to get lost in them and your mind did the rest, it filled in the blanks, because those games left room for your imagination. I assume younger generations might not see it the same way. And yes, maybe nostalgia is hitting me way too hard, but I still believe one of the main reasons so many of us remember Sierra is because of their art style. It had a certain magic that has never been replicated.show more

Aubrey Plaza explains how a simple script line turned... into an unexpectedly awkward masturbation scene on set. "I thought I was doing one thing, and then when I showed up, it was a whole different thing." "In my head I envisioned a nice scene where you just see my hand slowly go out of frame... left to the imagination." "The camera was mounted on the ceiling, I was in my underwear and a Clinton t-shirt, and there were a bunch of old men... crew guys." "I asked the director 'what should I do?' and she said: 'Masturbate, like it says in the script.'" "What a kind directorial note... 'Do it like it says in the script!'"show more

Elvis Presley looking back on what life was really... like during his time in the Army: In a 1960 interview at Graceland, Elvis pushes back against the tabloid narratives that had built up around him during his service in Germany. The interviewer asks about rumors of a special someone he met overseas. Elvis responds: "Not any special one. There was a little girl that I was seeing quite often over there that her father was in the Air Force, and actually they only got over there about 2 months before I left. I was seeing her and she was at the airport when I left and there were some pictures made of her. But it was no big romance. I mean, the stories came out 'the girl he left behind' and all that. It wasn't like that." The frustration with how his life was being portrayed comes through when the interviewer casually asks if he liked the food in Germany and whether he ate out at restaurants. Elvis's answer reveals just how isolated his time abroad actually was: "I never ate in a restaurant the entire time when I was in Germany. I either ate in the mess hall or at home. One of the two. In fact, I never went anywhere while I was in Europe except to Paris. I went to Paris on a leave and that was all." The picture he paints is strikingly different from what fans might have imagined — no European adventures, no restaurant dinners, no grand romance. Just the mess hall, home, and one trip to Paris. When asked about what comes next, Elvis keeps it simple and focused: "Well, the first thing I have to do is to cut some records, and then after that I have the television show with Frank Sinatra."show more

#WATCH | Bareilly, UP | Man seen in viral... video being flung through the air during violent storms in UP yesterday, Nanhe Miyan, says, "I am a labourer... I was working when the storm struck... That’s when the structure began to lift into the air. There were four other people with me. I told them, "I’ll hold this down; you tie it securely."... We were holding onto that tin when I was swept away right along with it. My grip slipped, and I lost hold of it. I don't know exactly what happened next, only Allah knows... I landed about 80 feet away. It was a maize field, and it was filled with water. I ended up embedded in the mud there. A man happened to be watching from nearby... He came running out of his house. He pulled me onto his shoulders... Then, he helped me sit on his motorcycle and took me away... I underwent an X-ray examination and was then taken to Bareilly. I sustained a fracture requiring a metal plate, and I have injuries all over my body. While I was being tossed through the air, I was constantly thinking of Allah... I did not think that I would survive... I want my story to reach the MLA. So far, no one has come to visit me... I have young children to support... There is no one else in the family to earn a living. I am in distress. I will only be able to work again once my injuries have healed... I appeal to the government to provide whatever assistance it can to help me... A young person, I don't know who exactly, recorded that video of the incident..."
