A German journalist also got to see more of... GTA 6 and talked about it at Gamescom. I’ve translated some important details into English: -Got to see live gameplay, played by Rockstar’s Rob Nelson -Was even allowed to give instructions during the gameplay -He saw a huge number of improvements and evolutions compared to Red Dead Redemption 2 -It feels like all of Rockstar’s previous games have somehow come together in this one -The extended look is apparently just the tip of the iceberg -He specifically wanted to see how simply hanging out and existing in the world would work -Things that would normally have been scripted into missions can now happen organically in the open world -People will comment on your clothing, both as Lucia and as Jason -One NPC whistled at Lucia while she was wearing a short skirt and commented, “Nice ass” -You can decide whether Lucia and Jason kiss when greeting each other or not -You can buy drinks for each other -You can even gain Honor by doing seemingly small things, such as throwing away litter (for example, a milkshake) -He saw all of this gameplay running on a base PS5 (he didn’t exactly follow the cables lol) -The game genuinely looked as good as it did in the Extended Look. He was skeptical at first, but eventually thought, “Fuck, it really does look this good” -The game is absolutely packed with stuff -It was hinted that there are various "tools" -Police no longer appear on the minimap -You can actually tell whether the police are identifying you based on your clothes, your face, your car, or whether you are traveling with your partner -There is a focus mode that was described as being similar to Witcher Sense -You won’t be able to break into every car from the very beginning -The variety of NPCs and activities is described as absolutely crazy -There are tons of funny little interactions. For example, he saw an NPC walking her dog; the dog pooped, and she actually pulled out a plastic bag and picked it up -The world is absolutely packed with NPCs. In a club, there are huge crowds of people, with everyone doing their own thing -People in Miami are very willing to approach you and interact with you -You can greet people, antagonize them, or try to defuse a situation -This creates far more opportunities for player choice and reminded him of old-school text adventures -NPCs seem to have distinct personalities of their own (some are reserved, others are aggressive, and so on) -The streets are narrower, which makes driving feel different -E-scooters can actually be a useful way of losing the police -Police officers can tase you -He personally thinks the game is even more impressive at night, with all the neon lights and the overall atmosphere -You can’t completely ruin Lucia and Jason’s relationship, and they can’t break up -When Lucia and Jason are close to each other, switching between them is almost seamless -You can switch from driving to the passenger and, for example, browse your social media feed while riding along -The social media system was compared to Instagram -Cycling has an impact on your Athleticshow more
