Then, one day you wake up and the house is quiet. One of my most cherished memories is coming home from work each day and opening the creaky back door to our 1947 craftsman home. My 3-year-old daughter (now 21) would drop her toys and run down the hall—her footsteps booming on the old wood floor—to greet me. Those four laps in qualifying... honestly, nothing else even... comes close. This place is just different, there’s nowhere else like it also for everything it demands from us drivers. Watching from the sidelines this year is pretty tough, and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t wish I was back in the car. I’ll never take the chance I had to qualify and race here for granted. Admin Post: This is a T Puller. It's really... hard to pull a door closed from a wheelchair and these make it much easier. They stick on the door on the hinge side. I just flip it out and use it to pull the door until I can reach the knob. In the past I've used pull ropes but I still had to go through, turn around, wheel back in to get close enough to grab the rope and then back out. Chesnyy could also grab and pull a rope but there needed to be room for her to maneuver and at times she's not at the door with me (especially if I'm taking another dog out) or she might be carrying something. I think I’m close to a burn out. For... the last few weeks it feels like I haven’t been able to think. Let alone do deep work. My brain just draws a blank. Super frustrating. Even thinking what tiles I should put into our new house feels like too much already. The first few weeks I tried to force myself to work anyway. Obviously made it even worse. So, this week I decided I’m just going to take a break. Go on hikes, drive my bike, read books and play video games. I had this before and eventually it would go away. Made me realise though that I should put guards into place for the next time. Building a team is part of this. Focus on what I like to do and get help with all other tasks.
