Flow Matching aims to learn a "flow" that transforms... a simple source distribution (e.g. Gaussian) to an arbitrarily complex target distribution. This video shows the evolution of the marginal probability path as a source distribution is transformed to a target distribution.show more

One of the simplest algorithms for sampling from a... probability distribution is Random Walk Metropolis-Hastings. It proposes new samples by taking Gaussian-distributed steps, accepting or rejecting them to maintain the target distribution. I call this pdf the "fidget spinner".show more

A basic strategy for drawing from a random distribution... is to first generate uniformly-distributed points, then "warp" these points so they're spread out according to the target distribution. For example, the Box-Muller transform takes uniform points to normally-distributed onesshow more

Distribution connection diagram 🔥⚡ A simple visual guide to... understanding electrical distribution connections and how power is safely routed.show more

BITCOIN AT $78,441 JUST ENTERED THE DISTRIBUTION PHASE. Accumulation... Feb to May. Manipulation flush June to August at $60,000. Distribution starts now. Every prior Bitcoin cycle ran these three phases. Distribution is where the real move happens. Trigger: daily close above $81,000. Target: $150,000. WYCKOFF, YOU ARE A LEGEND!show more

Stein Variational Gradient Descent (SVGD) is a particle-based approach... to variational inference. SVGD iteratively transports a set of particles to match a target distribution by applying a form of functional gradient descent that minimizes the KL divergence.show more

Langevin Monte Carlo allows you to draw samples from... a probability distribution using its log gradient ∇ log p(x). By performing a sort of gradient ascent with noise you can navigate around the distribution. Langevin MC is heavily related to modern diffusion models.show more

It’s really simple: capitalism is the uneven distribution of... wealth; socialism is the even distribution of poverty. Always, no exceptions. Why do so many people still believe in a socialist utopia?show more

This is a fun interactive article explaining the intuition... behind Gaussian Processes. Gaussian Processes allow you to construct a distribution over functions with a continuous domain. They are incredibly useful for applications like Bayesian regression.show more

In aeronautics, a spoiler (sometimes called a lift spoiler)... is a device which intentionally reduces the lift component of an airfoil in a controlled way. Most often, spoilers are plates on the top surface of a wing that can be extended upward into the airflow to spoil the streamline flow. By so doing, the spoiler creates a controlled stall over the portion of the wing behind it, greatly reducing the lift of that wing section. Spoilers differ from airbrakes in that airbrakes are designed to increase drag without disrupting the lift distribution across the wing span, while spoilers disrupt the lift distribution as well as increasing drag.show more

Footage of a Ukrainian FP-2 attack drone slamming into... a Russian Wildberries distribution center in Yekaterinburg this morning. The Russian distribution center, hit by multiple Ukrainian drones, is now ablaze.show more

A source at one of the Gaza distribution sites... tells me that Hamas set up a roadblock to prevent Gazans from getting aid. They broke through it and were shouting “thank you America” upon reaching the site.show more

🇷🇺 ANOTHER DISTRIBUTION CENTER GONE: Massive fire engulfs Aurora... distribution center near Kiev Videos show a huge fire burning at an Aurora retail chain distribution center in the Bucha district of the Kiev region following a Russian drone attack. Aurora co-owner Taras Panasenko confirmed that the distribution center was destroyed and said no employees were injured because they were in shelters. The smoke is now being carried toward Kiev, prompting city authorities to advise residents to close their windows, limit time outdoors and use air purifiers where possible.show more

Horrible: This video shows thousands of Palestinians running after... an Israeli tank, as its withdrawal signals the start of U.S. aid distribution following a one-hour security sweep. The soldier who released the footage compared the scene to “The Walking Dead.”show more

Instead of pointing lookAt to a position, I tried... driving it along a line. The control over distribution is kind of nice.show more

An employee shared this video to KCRA when a... fire first sparked inside the 1-million-square-foot Medline Industries distribution center in Tracy. Full coverage:show more

Resistance is futile when the Distribution System sends a... calico with that much determination. 😍show more

EXCLUSIVE: Video of Gazans shouting "Thank you, America!" at... a Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) distribution center today. My source tells me some Gazans said this was the first time they’ve received humanitarian aid without having to pay for it.show more

Gazans rush for aid at an American-run food distribution... center. No aid for months, and when bits of aid are allowed in, its a show for Israelis to enjoy, or an opportunity for Israeli target practice.show more
