Ghostty on macOS now copies multiple formats into the... clipboard. If you paste into rich text apps now, it'll preserve formatting! If you paste plain text, that'll work too. I think Ghostty may be the only macOS terminal other than the built-in to do this. Coming soon to GTK.show more

Even with close confirmation I sometimes close my terminal... and think "OH FUCK NO." Coming soon to Ghostty, you can undo that. 🥰 (Technical details: we keep the terminal running for a configurable time in the background before terminating for real, similar to email undo send). Thanks to an amazing contributor, Ghostty now supports a... beautiful titlebar with tabs in the titlebar. These are still fully native tabs, we surgically modify macOS's view hierarchy to make them look like this, so they retain all the macOS native behaviors you'd expect.show more

This bugs me more than it should. This is... Ghostty, but it happens to other software. Characters on the corners are cropped by the border radius of the window. I like macOS in general, but wish Apple would roll back the rounded corners a tad.show more

i'm writing my own gui framework in c++ and... rewriting my image editor using it, which is going good so far, i wanted to move from swiftui, qt, tauri, electron, react native, and flutter so i can use metal and directx gpu apis on macos and windows as much as possible,so i think going full metal/directx is the way to go i know i have a very hard and long way to go though as there are many many flaws,bugs in this very very early version and doesnt utilize the gpu as much as i want to but i hope we will get there soon ,i also need to make the ui look somewhat decent instead of whatever mess it is right nowshow more
