My inner child is healed. Thank you for showing... up, Montreal. ❤️🏀 20,996 fans. A new WNBA regular season attendance record. Growing up, I heard all the same things so many girls who loved women’s basketball heard: “Nobody watches the WNBA.” Tonight, that couldn’t have felt further from the truth. I’ve made it my mission throughout my career to help tell the story of the WNBA in Canada. To witness history like this, in Montreal, with nearly 21,000 people in the building, is something I’ll never forget. This league deserves every bit of the love it’s receiving. And somehow, it still feels like we’re only getting started. #WNBAshow more

The WNBA has one question it should never struggle... to answer… Who is this league for? It was created for women, built around women, and marketed as women’s basketball. Protecting women’s sports shouldn’t require an apology or a political debate. The W is right there in the name. Have the courage to stand behind it.show more

Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham Reportedly Dominate WNBA Jersey... Sales at 71% — (Video: AI) According to recent reports, these two stars currently hold the top two spots in WNBA jersey sales and together account for a reported 71% of the league’s total merchandise sales in that category. This is a massive show of fan support for Clark and Cunningham, who have brought enormous visibility, excitement, and revenue to the league. Their popularity has helped drive overall interest and growth in women’s basketball at a time when the WNBA needs exactly that kind of star power. Given the clear positive financial impact these two players are having on the league and the sport as a whole, you’d expect the WNBA to prioritize protecting them more aggressively on and off the court. Does the fact that Clark and Cunningham dominate 71% of jersey sales prove that star power and talent are what truly drive interest and revenue in women’s basketball? Love her or hate her, Caitlin Clark has changed... women’s basketball forever. Argue with me. Before Caitlin, people were talking about women’s basketball. After Caitlin, people were planning their weekends around it. She didn’t just bring fans. She brought casual fans, sports fans, gambling fans, media attention, sold-out arenas, record TV ratings, jersey sales, and nonstop debate. Entire teams moved games to larger venues when she came to town because demand exploded. The numbers aren’t really up for debate. The 2024 NCAA Championship drew 18.9 million viewers, outdrawing the men’s title game. Her WNBA debut became one of the most-watched games in decades. Attendance records fell. Merchandise sales surged. Economists and analysts have credited her with generating hundreds of millions of dollars in value for women’s basketball. And here’s the part that drives some people crazy: You don’t have to think she’s the best player ever. You don’t have to think she’s the MVP. You don’t even have to like her. But pretending she hasn’t transformed the visibility, revenue, and cultural relevance of women’s basketball is like pretending Michael Jordan didn’t help grow the NBA. The strongest evidence might be this: when Clark has been sidelined, national TV audiences have dropped dramatically. Her games simply attract more viewers than anyone else’s. So go ahead. Tell me which player in women’s basketball history has had a bigger impact on attendance, ratings, merchandise sales, and mainstream attention than Caitlin Clark. I’ll wait. 🍿show more

is it normal for ring girls to be barefoot????... WNBA star Sophie Cunningham turned heads at UFC 329 in Las Vegas by making a surprise appearance as a guest ring girl. The Indiana Fever guard swapped the basketball court for the Octagon to briefly step into the spotlight as an honorary Octagon Girl. Her high-profile cameo was strictly temporary, as she took on the iconic role for just one single fight during the blockbuster event. Specifically, Cunningham walked out to open Round 1 of the co-main event featuring Paddy Pimblett and Benoît Saint Denis. While inside the cage, she delighted fans by recreating her viral pointing gesture that has become a staple of her basketball persona. This memorable crossover moment highlighted her skyrocketing popularity and expanding influence beyond the WNBA. 🫵🫵🫵❤️❤️❤️show more

Alright, let’s do a quick review of last night’s... game between the Atlanta Dream, and the Minnesota Lynx because I am extremely busy today. What you witnessed last night……(and this is why I hate talking basketball with Caitlin Clark fans because they know jack NOTHING about the game of basketball)……….was the result of team meetings, walk-throughs, film sessions, and an ENTIRE GAME PLAN that was CENTERED around containing ONE player: Angel Reese. ————————————————- The plan was simple: 1. If the ball goes to Angel Reese in the post, immediately double and triple team her. No one player can stop her. 2. If a shot goes up, send FOUR BODIES to surround ANGEL REESE. No one player will keep her off the boards. No TWO players will keep her off the boards. We’ve TRIED that. ————————————————- I’ve attached two video clips from last night’s game: Clip 1: The ball goes to Angel Reese in the post. She is immediately triple-teamed. Why on God’s green EARTH would a WNBA team TRIPLE-TEAM a player who SUCKS?!!! Great question. Clip 2: A shot goes up. FOUR PLAYERS from the Minnesota Lynx ALL crash around Angel Reese, just as the team had discussed during their team planning sessions. She STILL snatches the rebound while SURROUNDED by FOUR PLAYERS! ——————————————— The Minnesota Lynx decided prior to the start of this game that if they were going to lose, they were going to force the OTHER starters from the Atlanta Dream to beat them. They were NOT going to lose to Angel Reese. It was one of those nights, and that is okay. It happens. These VIDEOS will show you the level of RESPECT that an ELITE player COMMANDS! Peace.show more

This is SHOCKING! A Class 6 girl from Neerja... Modi School, Jaipur has died after allegedly jumping from the 4th floor of her school building! At first, the media called it an accident, but soon the story conveniently changed to suicide! And here’s where it gets even more disturbing⬇️ When the Education Minister of Rajasthan sent a team to investigate, the school authorities refused to let them in for hours. And when the team was finally allowed inside, the entire floor had been cleaned, reportedly, did they wipeout crucial evidence????? What is the school trying to hide? Bhajanlal Sharma this happened on your watch. What’s going on? The CCTV footage clearly shows a man behind the girl just before she jumps. How could he not notice what was happening? He did not file a lawsuit. He filed paperwork.... Enes Kanter Freedom, third overall pick in the 2011 draft, eleven NBA seasons, 748 games, six foot ten and 250 pounds, has declared himself eligible for the WNBA draft in April of 2027. Here is the part that makes it clever rather than merely funny. He is not claiming to be a woman. He said that "if simply declaring who you are is all that's required," then he meets every requirement, and asked only that the rules be applied equally. He went out of his way to say he is not mocking any community or anyone's personal choices. That is not a punchline. That is a compliance filing. Because this week a Fever coach said she lacked sufficient biological information to weigh in on males in women's sport, and a Valkyries forward said she would welcome a trans athlete on her team or against her team any time. Somebody wrote all of that down. So the league now has three doors, and every one of them is the story. Door one. They reject him because he is male. That concedes the category is biological, which is the sentence they have spent years refusing to say out loud, and Sophie Cunningham is owed an apology in writing. Door two. They reject him on some other ground. Age, tryouts, prior league, whatever the lawyers can find. But he meets the published criteria, and every workaround they invent is a rule they could have written for the real question and chose not to. Door three. They admit there is no written standard at all. That is the one nobody is ready for, and I suspect it is the true one. Meanwhile the phones are apparently ringing. Rumor has it Diana Nowitzka has been feeling like a woman lately and is weighing her options. Dwayna Waid is said to be intrigued. Tonya Parkes is reportedly stretching. Carmela Anthone has told people she is at peace with herself and available in April. None of that is confirmed. Neither is anything else in this story, which is the point. And so, at long last, let the tanking begin. Somewhere a front office is running the numbers on a six foot ten prospect with 748 games of NBA tape. The 2027 lottery just became the most valuable object in professional basketball. Start losing now. Thank me in April. He is never going to play in that league. He knows it. Everyone knows it. He is going to make them write down why not. That is the whole fight, and it always was. Nobody in that league has to lose a game to lose this one. They just have to answer the letter. 🦋show more

Ashton Jeanty was reportedly told to “stop” his iconic... pre-snap stance IMMEDIATELY by Chip Kelly (Raiders OC). Jeanty has since followed Kelly’s orders, but reportedly hopes to “gain the privilege” back once he establishes himself as a Top RB. Jeanty’s stance was an iconic move and marketing tactic that is now gone until further notice. Kelly reportedly used the idea of a “defensive basketball stance” to convince Jeanty that his way of a stance would perform better. Several NFL scouts reportedly believe it will take Jeanty “no time” to establish himself as a Top-5 NFL RB early into his career. Anyone who has ever seen my sister Hope Renners... play basketball, volleyball or any other sport always says the same thing to me every single time...."Wow, your sister Hope is so intense!" Yes she is....and she is always enthusiastic and intense about literally everything! Hope is such a force of nature and I've never met anyone who is a better or more loyal friend/teammate or who is more driven, coachable and always has positive and resourceful energy! My "little" (or should I say younger) sister Hope started her own Twitter account today and I want to be the first to say how incredible impressed and proud I am of her for being such an extraordinary sister, person and athlete. Hope is 100% pure DAWG and she will never stop and will never give up. Here are a few things she has done this past year: she led her 8th grade basketball team to a CYO Championship win, won the Washington State Free Throw Championship, made 9 3-pointers in a row, is squatting 150 pounds for 10 reps, played club basketball and club volleyball at a very high level, dunked a tennis ball on a 9'3" hoop and is 100% committed to dunking a basketball on a 10-foot hoop very soon! Hope is 6'1", has and can play all 5 positions and is still growing a lot! Her AAU basketball team is Team Walton which is run by Talia Walton, former WNBA and University of Washington star who is an exceptional coach and incredible person. I included a few photos and a video and I especially like the pic of Hope diving on the floor because it really shows her spirit and love of competing and she always seems to end up with every loose ball, rebound and 50-50 ball. Hope, you rock and please always keep being you, I love you so much! #love #basketball #dawg #baller #PositiveMindset Prep Girls Hoops Washington Prep Girls Hoops 🏀 Top Preps - Get Seen by College Coaches & Scouts. 🚨 NOW: A massive group of House Republicans announce... the DOJ and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission could CRACK DOWN on the WNBA after Caitlin Clark was viciously and violently fouled on the court, and is being targeted because she's WHITE REP. AUGUST PFLUGER TO WNBA COMMISSIONER: "Clark has been hip-checked, poked in the eye, and struck in the throat during games. These incidents go far beyond routine physical play, yet the WNBA and its officiating have too often failed to address these unacceptable incidents and hold players accountable." "Recently, a player even appeared to endorse violence against Clark in a social media post, further fueling concerns about the culture surrounding these incidents." "In addition, concerning reports suggest that many of these attacks against Caitlin Clark may be racially motivated." "As Commissioner, you have an obligation to ensure that every player competes in a safe and professional environment, both on and off the court, free from violence, discrimination, or retaliation." "If discrimination or retaliation is occurring and creating a hostile work environment, we support any appropriate investigation by the Department of Justice, the Department of Labor, or the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. If true, such conduct could constitute violations of federal civil rights laws." Republican Study Committee is demanding answers this month. FIX IT, OR ELSE!show more

That is why, after seeing the media and paparazzi, he started acting as if he was running away from them. But if you look carefully at the same video, you can see that two people from his own team were walking behind him with cameras, recording and taking photos of him every moment. They even followed him inside the restaurant with the cameras still recording. So while Samay Raina was pretending to run away from the paparazzi and avoid getting photographed, his own team was filming him at the same time. This is the reality of celebrities like Samay Raina. Let me clear one thing out of the way... first, because people in my replies are about to get this wrong. DiJonai Carrington's credentials are real. She graduated from Stanford early, in 2020, with two bachelor's degrees, psychology and African and African American Studies. Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll, which requires a 3.3 or better. Then a master's from Baylor. Anybody going after her transcript is going to lose, and should. Now the actual thing. She came from behind on a fast break and caught Sophie Cunningham in the head and neck. The referee cited windup, impact and follow through, and upgraded it to a flagrant two. She was ejected. She then posted the words White Privilege, in capitals, and tagged the Fever. She now says she never once claimed the assessment of the foul was white privilege. I have four children. Three teenagers and a twelve year old. I have heard this exact speech in my own kitchen, delivered with total conviction, roughly nine thousand times. That is not what I said. That is what you heard. Maybe listen better next time. Every parent reading this just felt something in their jaw. Nobody posts two capitalized words and tags a specific franchise as a general meditation on American history. You tag the Fever because you mean the Fever. My twelve year old could argue it better, and has. The credential defense is the other tell. When the first answer to criticism is where you went to school, the argument has already left the building. And here is what actually bothers me, which has nothing to do with either woman. The WNBA is standing under the rim with an open layup and will not shoot. They have a real rivalry. Real heat, full arenas, people who have never watched a possession of women's basketball picking sides and buying tickets. The NBA got this exact gift in 1979 and knew what to do with it. Bird and Magic did not like each other and the league did not pretend otherwise. It sold the rivalry, put it in primetime, and turned a product that had been airing on tape delay into a global business. The W is doing the reverse. Every flashpoint becomes a referendum. Every hard foul becomes a hearing. The league says nothing, the union issues a statement, the players are left to litigate it on their own phones, and the sport disappears underneath the discourse. Two great players wanting to beat each other is not a crisis. That is the product. Sell the game. Embrace the stars. Let them dislike each other. That is how the eighties happened. 🦋show more

I’ve been a Duke fan since I watched The... Shot in 1992 with my dad. We watched March Madness every year, and that was my first core memory of college basketball. I saw Christian Laettner on Letterman later that year (the Top Ten was also a family tradition back then) and was completely enamored. I insisted on a trip to Durham so I could see Cameron Indoor Stadium. My dad made it happen when I was in high school, even though I was definitely not Duke material (athletically or academically). I’m including a terrible pic of me at the Duke bookstore circa 1997. I took my oldest son to watch Duke in the Sweet 16 in Dallas in 2024. He’s been a Blue Devil basketball fan ever since. Anyway, my point is that I don’t care what anyone thinks, I will always be a Duke fan. 🥰 Go Blue Devils!show more

AL's Head Coach Tabe on Gumayusi's Varus: “I don’t... think the priority of Varus is that high but the one picking it is Gumayusi. You know how some champions are just that kind of champs (or like nothing special), but the moment Gumayusi’s ID appears above that champion, it becomes something completely different.” “From what I see, Sivir is a perfect counter to Varus. But the crazy thing about Gumayusi is that he still wins in the LCK even when he picks Varus into Sivir. And on the other hand, if another team picks Varus, Gumayusi immediately does the opposite, locks in Sivir and completely pressures them from the early game all the way to the end.” “In the end, Gumayusi’s Varus is just really insane. Game 1 against AL was literally Guma shooting them to victory with every single arrow.” #GUMAYUSIshow more

🚨 🚨 THE WNBA HAS 3 OPTIONS LEFT WITH... DIJONAI CARRINGTON. ALL 3 ARE CATASTROPHIC. This is the moment nobody wants to talk about. After a flagrant 2 to the face and neck, a "WHITE PRIVILEGE" post, and millions rallying behind Sophie Cunningham → the league is now boxed into three choices. And every single one is a nightmare: ⚠️ OPTION 1: SUSPEND CARRINGTON – Confirms the officials called it "unnecessary and excessive to a player in a vulnerable position" for a reason – Sky lose a starter for multiple games – Carrington's supporters accuse the league of caving to backlash – Race-card critics feel vindicated – Precedent set for every hard foul going forward ⚠️ OPTION 2: FINE HER AND MOVE ON – Cunningham's side calls it a joke punishment for a neck-high swipe – Millions already rallying behind Cunningham get louder – Every future flagrant gets compared to this one – League looks like it's protecting Carrington over player safety – Ejection stands, incident quietly disappears ⚠️ OPTION 3: STAY SILENT AND LET FANS DECIDE – Both sides claim victory in the vacuum – Cunningham's "common sense" stance gets amplified by the silence – Carrington's "white privilege" claim never gets addressed or denied – The league loses control of its own storyline entirely – Every game between these two teams becomes a referendum Let that sink in. There is no Option 4. There is no clean ruling. There is no "everyone just moves on." The media is showing you a flagrant foul and an ejection. They're NOT showing you that this is the same league that spent July watching Cunningham get rallied for and protested against over her stance on women's sports. This is the most scrutinized disciplinary decision the WNBA has faced in years. Follow now → this story is already being buried. RT so others see this. Prepare accordingly. 🚨🚨🚨 I'll keep you updated as this unfolds, turn on notifications this is EXTREMELY important.show more
