The biggest Bitcoin miners on earth are quietly walking... away from mining Bitcoin, and the reason is not the one everyone keeps repeating. They are not fleeing a dead business. They lost an auction for their own power, and the winner was artificial intelligence. Start with the brutal arithmetic. It now costs the average public miner around $80,000 in cash to produce a single Bitcoin, and for stretches of this year $BTC traded below that. The most efficient operators on the cheapest power still clear a margin, but an estimated 15 to 20 percent of the global fleet is mining at a loss right now, burning more in power than the coins are worth the second they are minted. Three straight downward difficulty adjustments earlier this year, the first such streak since 2022, were the footprint of machines going dark. That looks like a simple story of a broken business until you see the number that explains the exodus. The same megawatt of power that earns a Bitcoin miner roughly $1 million a year earns between $10 and $20 million a year hosting AI compute. Ten to twenty times more, for the identical electricity, substation, and cooling. What made industrial miners valuable was never the mining. It was the power contracts, the land, the grid interconnects. AI walked in and bid an order of magnitude higher for exactly those assets. Mining did not fail. It got outbid for its own infrastructure. When Core Scientific runs its BTC segment at a negative margin while its AI colocation business prints money, the decision writes itself. CoinShares estimates listed miners could pull up to 70 percent of their revenue from AI by year end, up from about 30 percent. The power is being repriced to its highest use, and Bitcoin lost the bidding. If the giants leave, what happens to the network they secured? The doom posts assume it weakens. It does not, because Bitcoin has a self-healing reflex written into its core. When miners switch off, blocks slow, and within two weeks difficulty automatically drops, which makes mining cheaper and more profitable for everyone still running. The security does not vanish, it relocates, and you can already see where. State-backed pools are appearing, with one Gulf operator reportedly standing up a national pool near 3 percent of global hashrate, alongside private fleets and the handful of public miners like Marathon still choosing to buy Bitcoin rather than lease their power away. The network even hit an all-time high above one zettahash this year as the pivot accelerated. It does not need any particular miner. It needs someone, somewhere, for whom the math still works, and cheap stranded power has no shortage of those. But there is a deeper timer here, and the AI pivot just exposed it. Today miners earn almost everything from the block subsidy and almost nothing from fees, often under one percent of revenue on a quiet day. That subsidy halves again in 2028, and every four years after, marching toward zero. For Bitcoin to pay for its own security forever, fees eventually have to replace it. The open question is whether they can, and the evidence cuts both ways. On busy days, during token launches and inscription waves, fees have already spiked past 15 percent of revenue, and in 2024 some blocks earned more in fees than the entire subsidy. The capacity is there in bursts. Whether bursts become a baseline is the single most important unanswered question in Bitcoin. The AI exodus did not create that question. It pulled the cover off it years early, and showed how fast capital abandons hashing the moment something pays more. So the honest read is not that AI kills Bitcoin mining. It is stranger than that. AI is the first bidder rich enough to reveal what Bitcoin's security was always quietly worth, and what it will cost to keep once the free coins stop coming. The miners are not abandoning a sinking ship. They are selling the deck to a higher bidder while the same clock everyone forgot about keeps ticking underneath.show more

Dagknight technical progress As would be mentioned in a... still unshared post by Michael Sutton, the dagknight effort is split into v0 devnet, v1 testnet and v2 mainnet candidate. I’ve been testing the current v0-based implementation in a small devnet with the help of some testers who run nodes and miners with me. The DK work can be thought of as split into two parts: (1) implementing the actual protocol and (2) wiring it up and using it. The testing and development over the last month has been focused on (2). Obviously, DK is a consensus change for selecting parents. What’s not so obvious is that such a change affects DAA, coinbase, IBD, pruning and a lot more. Each of these areas is very sensitive and requires proper understanding to wire correctly. An important consideration and difference from GD is that DK does not focus on maximizing a property like blue work. So to maintain topological properties of blue work, an independent (free) GD implementation is kept running specifically for maintaining blue work. This allows us to keep using the property for topology. Coloring and blue score use the megachain induced by DK. The wiring around DK as of this posting is in a working state, but still needs to be reviewed. Next efforts will be focused on protocol specific components, particularly Tie-Breaking and incremental UMC. Attached are some captures from the internal devnet. The dense DAG image is what happens when things related to DAA or other similar consensus parameter causes a node to insist on their POV. The video is a recent snippet of the KGI running on the devnet showing (perhaps not obviously) DK at work. The current “dagknight” branch is now posted on the main repo. A topic in the Public R&D has been opened for Dagknight development.show more

Let me give everyone just a little common sense... test. It may be that I retired from the United States Air Force, that the answer is crystal clear to me and maybe a bit more challenging for others. So the guy on the left is claiming to be the president of the United States of America. He claims his name is Joe Biden but we know Joe Biden is dead. He faced a military tribunal and was executed. So really do you really think that a president of the United States of America gets off a plane and gets into some random dudes vehicle? Only someone that doesn't know anything about the military would think such nonsense. Or are you someone that has a great deal of common Sense and critical thinking ability and can see this motorcade on the right and know that that's what a presidential motorcade looks like and that means the president is really in there. This so happened to be president Trump on his way to South Carolina rally. So is the real president on the left side or is the real president on the right side? This really should be a no-brainer but of course we know liberals absolutely beyond a shadow of a doubt or no brainers they have no brains, they have no common sense, there are cognitive dissonance is all messed up, and they have zero critical thinking capabilities. By the way even former presidents don't have motorcades that look like that for anybody thinking that the excuse for it. So-called president gets in an Uber carrying his own luggage and people can't wake the hell up.show more

🔥STRATEGY WILL BE THE WORLD'S MOST VALUABLE COMPANY🔥 Strategy... bought OVER 56,000 Bitcoin in April. That number is so absurd people are psychologically incapable of processing it. Post-halving miners produce roughly 13,500 BTC per month. Strategy just bought about 4.1x an entire month of new miner supply in one month. Now run the simple monster math: Today: Strategy BTC stack: 818,334 BTC Bitcoin price: $76,196 Bitcoin NAV: $62.35B Assume Strategy keeps buying 56,000 BTC per month for 5 years. That is: ASSUMING STRC GROWTH TOTALLY STOPS (LOL) ~672,000 BTC per year ~3,360,000 BTC over 5 years Their stack goes from: 818,334 BTC to 4,178,334 BTC Now assume Bitcoin compounds at 25% CAGR. Bitcoin goes from: $76,196 to roughly: $232,532 So the Bitcoin NAV becomes: 4,178,334 BTC × $232,532 = roughly $971.5 BILLION Almost $1 TRILLION in Bitcoin NAV. And the funniest part? This model assumes no mNAV expansion. No premium insanity. No additional acceleration. No credit flywheel getting stronger. No market panic as everyone realizes Strategy is vacuuming Bitcoin off the planet like a publicly traded monetary black hole. Just: 56,000 BTC per month. 25% Bitcoin CAGR. 5 years. That’s it. Don't think they can accumulate that much Bitcoin at that low of a CAGR? Think the Bitcoin CAGR has to go higher? Cool. That only helps Strategy buy more Bitcoin. The bear case is basically: “Sure, they are absorbing multiples of new supply, building the largest corporate Bitcoin balance sheet in history, converting fiat capital markets into Bitcoin ownership, and compounding NAV at escape velocity, but have you considered that I am emotionally upset?” MSTR is becoming the most aggressive Bitcoin accumulation machine ever built. The fiat world is still modeling it like a tech stock with a weird treasury policy. GOOD LUCK.show more

Hi everyone, this week I finally received the new... ANyONe Relay! ANyONe Protocol is an interesting DePIN focused on building a more decentralized internet and making our privacy more secure 💯 I'm still waiting to release a video because the new Dashboard isn't active yet but for those interested the most important points that I want to highlight are these: 1) The #Miner is Plug&Play so easy to install, just follow the initial steps and you're fine, once installed you don't have to do anything else. 2) There is no limit for IP but if for example you put 2 Relays in the same #IP it isn't certain that you will have double rewards, because they basically do the same job, to get more rewards it's better to use different IPs. 3) To make the Relay operational it's necessary to open port 9001 in your Modem. Without this operation the #mining will basically not start, so make sure you have a modem or connection that can open the ports. If you have the classic public IP you should definitely be able to do it 4) Currently the rewards arrive automatically every week, usually Friday, and I received 8 $ANYONE as first earnings 👍 Since the new #Dashboard isn't yet operational the #rewards aren't yet clear (which is why I am still waiting to release the video) and personally I expect there will be more 🔥 The only negative note that I have found so far in the project is that: ANYONE #token is only on Ethereum So unfortunately the fees for the swap or even future claims and sendings will not be low, I hope that the team in the future will also consider Arbitrum or Base for the rewards to Nodes 🙏 $ANYONE: Docs to learn more: If you are interested in the project you can order the Anyone on @ampchampment and you can receive it in a few weeks 🚀 They ship Worldwide, Paypal and Crypto are available, and you can use the coupon ILCAPOFOX for a 5% discount! Shop: For Europe I also recommend FreshMiners, they also ship quickly and you can use the coupon ILCAPOFOX3 for a 10€ discount! Shop: #DePIN #Anyone #Relay #Node #Privacy #Internetshow more

llama.cpp isn't just for text LLMs anymore. Pure C++... zero shot voice cloning just officially landed in mainline. Text generation was only step one. If you’re building autonomous local AI agents, real time voice assistants, or edge workflows, instant low latency audio is the missing piece. Thanks to PR #26254, Alibaba’s state of the art Qwen3 TTS model family is now natively supported directly inside the llama.cpp repository under the multimodal (mtmd) framework. No Python bloat. No massive PyTorch CUDA overhead. Just raw, hyper optimized C++ running GGUF voice weights. Here is why this native update is a massive deal for the open source local AI stack: # Multimodal Architecture (.gguf + mmproj) Qwen3-TTS splits the workload between the base language model backbone and a multimodal projection adapter. llama.cpp handles this using the llama-tts binary, mapping the text model alongside its --mmproj projector to process audio tokens seamlessly. # Zero Shot Voice Cloning in Seconds You don't need fine tuning or massive dataset training. Feed the C++ engine a single 5 to 10 second .wav audio sample using the --tts-speaker-file flag, and it accurately clones the exact timbre, tone, and accent on the fly. # Real World T4 GPU Benchmark & Resource FootprintRunning the 1.7B Base model in 8-bit quantization (Q8_0): - VRAM Footprint: ~7 GB peak VRAM during active zero-shot cloning. - Audio Quality: Studio grade, natural-sounding voice output in seconds. • - Execution: Direct execution via native compiled binaries or sub process calls. # Coming Next to llama-server (PR #26603) Beyond CLI execution, a native POST /tts HTTP endpoint is currently being added to llama-server, which will soon allow you to trigger voice generation directly via standard REST API requests! # quick note on Colab compilation: Because this code was merged into mainline very recently, pre-built third-party binaries haven't fully caught up yet. Compiling llama-tts directly from source on Google Colab's free CPU instance can take about 1 hour (or ~1-2 minutes if targeting single GPU arch like -DCMAKE_CUDA_ARCHITECTURES=75). Be patient during the build step, or compile it locally on your own rig for instant execution! To test this out yourself, I built a zero config Google Colab notebook that compiles llama.cpp, downloads the Q8_0 GGUF files from HuggingFace, and spins up an interactive Gradio Studio UI so you can record/upload 3 second clips and clone voices in real time. Stop sleeping on native C++ audio. The era of bulky Python audio pipelines is officially over. Links to the free Google Colab notebook and the official ggml org GGUF HuggingFace model repository are in the replies below! available in q4 and q8 both variants, 1 GB and 1.85 GBs respectively (requires additional ~500MB mmproj gguf) Are you building local voice agents yet? What does your current audio stack look like? Drop your setups below!show more

Free NVIDIA GPU with 16 GB VRAM GPU for... Running Local LLMs! If you want to master local LLMs but you're waiting until you can afford a $1,500 GPU, you're honestly not going to make it. The open source AI ecosystem is moving way too fast for you to wait on your budget to catch up. Especially when you can build a bleeding edge inference engine from scratch right now, completely for free. You don't need a heavy local rig to start. Google is literally letting you use an enterprise grade NVIDIA Tesla T4 GPU for $0/hour. At standard cloud computing rates (~$0.20/hr), Google Colab’s 4 hour daily free tier hands you roughly $24 worth of data center tier GPU compute every single month. And most people just waste it. Let’s talk about the hardware you get access to for free. The NVIDIA Tesla T4 is an absolute workhorse: - Architecture: NVIDIA Turing (TU104) - VRAM: 16GB GDDR6 (320 GB/s bandwidth) - Compute: 320 Tensor Cores | 2560 CUDA Cores - Performance: 130 TOPS INT8 | 8.1 TFLOPS FP32 - Power: Sipping energy at a max 70W TDP This is the exact same hardware I used to run DeepMind's Gemma 4 26B A4B QAT MoE at a 250,000 context window without a single Out Of Memory (OOM) crash. If you have a web browser and 10 minutes, you have everything you need. I’ve put together a fully documented, cell by cell Google Colab notebook that teaches you exactly how to do this. Here is what the notebook actually teaches you: - How to provision an Ubuntu Linux environment with CUDA 13.0 and verify your driver stack. - How to pull the source code and compile the latest llama.cpp C++ binaries from scratch, specifically optimizing the build for your exact GPU using the -DCMAKE_CUDA_ARCHITECTURES=native flag. - How to directly download quantized local LLMs (GGUF format) straight from HuggingFace using the CLI. - How to manage 16GB VRAM limits, offload neural network layers to the GPU, and push massive context windows. Compile raw llama.cpp, ollama run a model, or spin up the LM Studio CLI. Pick whatever stack you are comfortable with. just start building. No hardware. No credit card. No excuses. Bookmark this post right now so you don't lose the tutorial. Even if you don't have time to run it today, you are going to want this workflow in your engineering toolkit. The link to the free Colab Notebook is in the comments below. Lemme know if you need more tutorials like this.show more

Axie started in 2018. Creatures you could collect, battle,... and raise while learning about a magical new technology called blockchain. Part of the original concept were axie homes called Terrariums. Places where your axies could live, get stronger, and harvest resources. Battles ended up getting prioritized instead, and Terrariums got shelved. But for eight years, that original idea held a special place in our hearts. Terrariums are a nod to that original dream. We're hard at work and our goal is to deliver the first version in late June. Here's how they'll work on day one: 1. You activate a plot of land. 2. You put your axies on it. 3. Every hour, the world ticks forward on its own. While you're away, your land is working. 4. It earns a reward called bAXS, the in-game currency that feeds back into the broader Axie economy. 5. To stay running, your land burns a fuel called Lunium. You get it two ways: buy packs, or let your land generate it slowly for free. 6. How much you earn scales with your axie power, a stat currently called Atia's Flame. Stronger (collectible) axies earn more points. More points means a bigger share of the prize pool. 7. Each land type has its own pool, split between everyone who owns that type. 8. There will be free terrariums that can be used to earn axie experience points (but not bAXS). These should also be useful for onboarding newcomers. The day-to-day is simple by design as we want to make sure that the gameplay is easy to grasp at first and doesn't become a grind for landowners. The largest theft in history has already happened. The... people behind it just cannot open what they stole yet. Right now, intelligence agencies and criminal groups are quietly copying the world's encrypted data, bank records, medical files, state secrets, private messages, and storing every byte untouched. They cannot read any of it. They are collecting it anyway, because they know the key is about to be invented. The strategy has a name, harvest now, decrypt later, and in 2026 it stopped being theory. Washington declared this the Year of Quantum Security in January, backed by the FBI, the NSA, and NIST. Canada ordered every federal agency to file a migration plan by April. Europe set its deadline for December. Governments do not impose operational deadlines on a someday problem. They do it when the clock is already running. Here is what moved the clock. Every password, every transfer, every secret on Earth is protected by one assumption, that a certain math problem is too hard to solve. Quantum computers solve exactly that problem. For years the machine that could do it looked decades away. Then in late 2025 Google's Willow chip cracked the hardest part of building one, and in March 2026 Google's own researchers estimated that breaking the encryption behind Bitcoin might take fewer than 500,000 qubits, down from 20 million, and could run in minutes. The day this becomes real has a name, Q-Day, and the latest estimates place it between 2030 and 2033. Now make it concrete. Roughly 6.5 million Bitcoin, about a third of every coin that will ever exist, worth close to 500 billion dollars, sit in addresses that have already exposed the very key a quantum computer needs. That includes the coins of Satoshi, the anonymous creator. On Q-Day they become, in the researchers' own word, trivially stealable. It would not look like a crash or a whale selling. It would look like half a trillion dollars of the most secure money ever built simply walking out the door. The asset designed to trust no one and no institution turns out to rest on a single unverified bet, that one math problem stays hard forever. This is what sits beneath the entire digital world. A bank balance, a Bitcoin, a classified cable, all of it is real only because of a proof you supposedly cannot forge. Quantum breaks the proof. Everything we call secure is true only until someone finally checks, and for the first time the check is visible on the horizon. You cannot know whether your data has already been copied. You cannot know the exact day the key arrives. The trust holding up the digital age is a clock counting down to a zero no one can see. The honest counter matters. No machine on Earth can break this encryption today, and serious cryptographers still argue the real threat is a decade or more away. The timeline is far from certain. Quantum-safe codes already exist, the migration has started, and Bitcoin can move its coins to safety before Q-Day if it acts in time. The danger is not that everything breaks tomorrow. It is that anything which must stay secret into the 2030s, a state secret, an identity, a private key, is being stolen today and is already on the clock. The breach is not coming. It is already here, sitting in storage, perfectly encrypted, waiting for a machine that does not exist yet to read it out loud. Research and opinion, not investment advice.show more

Wondering if you are “quad dominant” in your throw... and if you should change it? Maybe you shouldn’t 🤷♂️ A coach’s post coming from Austin Roark 🚀⠀ -⠀ One question I get from a lot of athletes is whether they should change their lower half because their knee is over their toe during their loading phase down the mound. ⠀ -⠀ The biggest thing that I look for when trying to figure out if it is an issue or not is to see how they are able to get out of that position. Some guys are able to leverage and rotate from that position extremely well, which then I would say that it’s not an issue.⠀ -⠀ On the other hand, there are some guys who will get out of this position by driving extension out of their back leg, killing their ability to rotate their pelvis and get it in an open position into landing.⠀ -⠀ This is when I would suggest trying to make a change. I think a lot of people jump into certain ideologies that you shouldn’t do certain things because it’s “inefficient” or it looks “wrong”. ⠀ -⠀ Take a look at these pitchers shown in the video. All 3 of these high level arms have some degree of knee flexion over their toe. Now, granted, they all have insane levers to help them, but the way they are moving is what makes them efficient in how they throw. ⠀ -⠀ I think if you told Dustin May that he had to hold a vertical shin down the mound, it would be a disaster and mess a lot of things up upstream that would impact him in a negative way.⠀ -⠀ The big takeaway here is that there are no absolutes. One thing that may look inefficient to you could be the thing that makes someone else very efficient.⠀ -⠀ When trying to figure out if you should change something about someone's delivery, make sure to look at the entire unit as a whole and don’t jump into any quick changes.show more

Hills I will die on as someone who has... coached high school football for over 29 years: 1. If you are not PASSIONATE about blessing, serving, and empowering those you are blessed to coach, this profession is not for you. 2. As much as we need to know our trade, getting to know (and to love), our players is far more important. 3. This is an INTENSE game, and it’ll never be “just a game”, but it IS a game. Remember that when you’re with your team, and more importantly, remember that when you’re with your family. 4. Just as we teach our athletes to “leave things better than they found them”, we need to leave our athletes better than they were when they first entered into our program. Never let a day pass without pouring into each and every individual. 5. Life is complicated enough, let’s not complicate the game in such a way that we take the joy of it away from others. In other words… Keep it simple. 6. Our words carry little (or NO), value, if we don’t practice what we preach. WE as coaches should be learning and growing each and every day, just as we expect our athletes to. 7. As much as we all want to win those championship rings for our athletes, make sure you don’t lose your wedding ring in the process. 8. The athlete that may be “difficult to reach/teach” (the one who may get on your last nerve more than you could ever imagine), is someone’s EVERYTHING. Get to know them as human beings, find out what motivates them, and do everything you can to help them to thrive. 9. Be where your feet are. Don’t fall into the trap of chasing logos and thinking that a higher division, a bigger school, or going from HS to college, or even college to the pros, is going to be more rewarding or fulfilling. 10. The legacy you leave as a coach will never be determined by your wins and losses, but by the lives you were able to change for the better!show more

What bone broth, aaa steak and a whole lot... of nature will do to a mf… On the real tho, your body is incredible, it’s designed with impeccable precision and pure divinity. The human body is the most magnificent organism. When the mind, body and soul is in unison it can regenerate and heal from anything. If I believed in the maya of the medical establishment I would not look like this. I’d be frail, weak, going into the hospital every 8 weeks to take biological immunosuppressant medication intravenously. I was so sick I had a section of my colon removed, at that point I made the conscious decision to take back control of my health, to become the ceo of my life and take my power back in my hands. My biggest mistake was giving all my power away and blindly taking whatever pills they gave me. I decided that was no longer for me. I went seeking for truth. I was mentored by great teachers of health, I studied day in and day out, learned the ancient schools of medicine, I became disciplined, I fasted, I prayed, I reconnected to nature and I came out a healed man. In hindsight I cherish my path, the journey, the trials and tribulations, it made me who I am. The ripple effect of my pain was tremendous, many people will be impacted for better by it. I will continue to give all of you my heart and my soul too. Life is beautiful, your energy is your greatest currency. Feeling vibrant and vital physically, emotionally and spiritually is available to all of us. You can live life with a fullness you never thought possible, you can reach the highest levels of attainment. Free from all the pain. No one wants to go through this life feeling drained and exhausted. Your reality should inspire you everyday. All of us living in this exact time and space are not here by coincidence, we’re at a crucial point of awakening and truth. Nothing is hidden anymore and the only way for it all to change is if we all change from within. Each soul came to this earth for a reason, and it wasn’t to cause or to live in pain. Healing the body and healing the earth are one and the same, it begins with getting out of the way and allowing nature to do what it’s meant to do; flourish. The human mind is capable of amazing feats, but within the complexity of the mind we can also deter from the true intuitive path. The illusionary world operates with scarcity, victimhood, poverty consciousness, greed and fear… a belief that you are lacking something and are unaccepted. These are the manifestations of dis-ease. You were designed perfectly, your body and mind is capable of feeling better than it’s ever felt, it took me years to get there but it’s beyond worth it. You can not extract the full magnitude of life with a body that’s been taken away from its inherent nature. We weren’t designed to consume the toxins we do yet still our body finds a way to keep us alive. When your vessel is operating at its fullest you emit and aura that is impossible to miss. We are beings of light, each one of your 70 trillion cells creates an electrical output. The healthier those cells are the more radiating your energy will be, and with that all the affluence of the world will be magnetized to you. Start with the basics, prioritize sunlight, drink the purest spring water, sleep well, walk and exercise daily, breathe deep into your body, eat organic whole foods, eliminate everything processed, avoid food that’s been tampered with by man, use herbs as medicines, cut all toxic relationships from your life, take care of the people you love, do a couple fasts ever year, and be grateful for the life God gifted you. Every moment is precious, every moment is a moment we will never get back. Reflect truth when you speak to people, show them compassion, honour and strength, put love above opinion and judgment. There’s enough malice in the world there’s no need to add to it. High standards, personal excellence and inner discipline can change the world… most importantly it’ll change your world.show more

10 things I can’t quit thinking about after ETHDenver:... 1. Convergence = here. Devner didn’t feel like an ETH conference, but more like an AI + crypto + TradFi + techno-philosophical conference. The convergence is true and real and accelerating. 2. Most corporate jobs suck ass. 40 years at a desk working on the same thing? Pure dystopia. We need fluid movement between passions, projects, people. DAOs are a massive step in that direction, but now AI is giving individuals the means to spin up their own massive businesses… there’s also this notion floating around that we can launch a product or contribute to a protocol or a DAO in a way that sets us up for life rather than slaving for decades at the golden teat of a paycheck. It's a massive win for human flourishing, passion and excitement. 3. oRaNgE cOIn. Bitcoin came up far more than I thought it would. Even $ETH ICO buyers/gigawhales talked about how bullish they are on it. The question is no longer whether $BTC will survive but rather how much exposure you should have. Orange coin has truly “up-leveled” or “transcended” to become something people simply can't ignore. 4. Founder quote that hit me like a truck: "We overengineered our project and under-engineered our story." In a world where AI flattens the app creation process, only your mindshare matters. (forgot to write down who said it 😅... chime in in the comments if you see this) 5. “Keepers of truth.” AGI will be able to fake literally anything. In such a world, blockchains become the “keepers of truth” bc they can be used to indisputably verify anything. This isn't just another use case. It means crypto will one day touch everything on earth. h/t Sreeram Kannan's talk at Open AGI. 6. Conference model = broken? Empty mainstage talks were the result of hundreds of side events that siphon off attention. This is happening more and more at every conf I go to. Not sure what the fix here is? Maybe the organizers should be way less centralized… rent a massive venue with tons of flexible spaces that can evolve in real-time… more Zuzalu, less CONTROL and top-down decisions. 7. Current blockchains r too dumb. AI must integrate more directly into the crypto tech stack. Ultimate vision is every hominid should be able to deploy whatever app they can dream up using natural language… this could lead to an giga-explosion of innovation and cool-ass experimentz. h/t Ritual and others 8. Crypto vs. Stripe API. Will we just give agents credit cards or will they prefer crypto wallets? One payment method can be censored. One cannot. Guess which wins? 9. $$$$ infusion. Dozens if not hundreds of projects around the world r sitting on massive treasuries bc they needed it as an insurance policy in case they had to do battle with the SEC. With the changing regulatory sitch, hundreds of millions of dollars (probably billies) can now be used to ship, build and accelerate. 10. Robots in chains? IRL robots made appearances at several events (one was drawing caricatures of passersby). Talked with frens about how we’ll bring them into our homes soon. That leads to crazy questions like “how do we keep them from getting hacked and killing us or blowing up like pagers?” “Will we be ok sleeping in the same room with them? Or will we lock them in the shed with chains?” Absolutely insane to think about… but productivity gains will overshadow all those doubts and human fears imo. De bots are coming whether you want them or not. I for one can’t wait to see zerebro embodied… in the meantime, I got to see him DJ his first show 👇🔥 Anyway, I'm sending love to all of you denverites, futurists, builders, dream dealers, and merchants of hope. Build something that makes this world better, freer, more beautiful and true✊show more

I got an up-close look at the engineering INSIDE... the new Tesla Roadster at yesterday’s unveil, and it’s pretty crazy. After watching this thing drive upside down, launch into the air, and do flips, I got to see the actual hardware that makes it all possible. 1/ The Electric drive unit is the heart of the Roadster’s electric powertrain, delivering power directly to the wheels. 2/ The battery pack has rows of cylindrical battery cells, with cooling systems and electrical connections running throughout. This is what powers the car before the rocket tech comes into play. 3/ The rocket thrusters has multiple cold-gas nozzles. Tesla says the four main rear thrusters blast compressed air faster than the speed of sound, producing more than 80,000 newtons of thrust. 4/ The SpaceX-inspired pressure tanks has two massive carbon-fiber-wrapped pressure vessels with a combined capacity of 600 liters, holding approximately 250 kg of compressed air. And the wild thing is the Roadster can recharge its own air supply, no special rocket fuel is required. 5/ An active rear wing has a variable-pitch wing that automatically adjusts downforce depending on what the car needs. It allows it to get more grip when cornering, less drag when going fast. 6/ The underbody engineering is the hardware underneath that brings everything together, including the systems that help the Roadster stick to the ground and launch into the air. And then there’s the fan suction system, which Tesla says can generate up to 2 g’s of suction force, enough to hold the car upside down. Tesla and SpaceX have built an electric sports car with a battery, electric motors, rocket thrusters, high-pressure air tanks, active aerodynamics, and a suction system powerful enough to let it drive upside down. And yesterday, I watched it actually happen with my own eyes… I’ve seen some incredible engineering from Tesla over the years, but getting this close to the hardware and then seeing what it can do was on a whole another level. This is what happens when you bring together some of the best automotive and rocket engineers in the world and let them push the limits of what’s possible. Great job Tesla! 👏show more

As far as I can tell the situation is... this: Casey Putsch ran a very solid campaign for the Republican primary to be governor of Ohio, against the GOP establishment Indian Vivek Ramaswamy , who had the PUBLIC backing of Trump, and Vance, and multiple billionaires funding him. Could his campaign have been run tighter? Had more “viral” moments a lá James Fishback ? Raised more money? Better execution? Sure. But it also could have used a LOT more help. From what I can tell, Casey reached out to Alex Jones to be on the show. No response. He reached out to James Fishback for a shoutout of any kind. No response. No idea on if he reached out to Nicholas J. Fuentes (perhaps that’s the source of Nick’s initial bad blood?) but that surely would’ve helped. “I only want to support a virulent WINNER 🔥” yea I get that mentality and that posturing, Fuentes wants to save his political capital, and saw Putsch as losing no matter what. But did conserving “your power” really work? We already have Jews like Laura Loomer declaring that “the groypers are politically meaningless internet noise!” from this result. I see Red Jews saying “Nick Fuentes is a Dem plant whose influence died off the moment his SPLC funding was cut. 😌”, and that sentiment making the rounds from those angry at Fuentes’s silence, followed by “Rest in Piss! 😜” Oh but don’t worry, there’s a magical discussion that makes all of this make sense, locked behind his $100 a month groupchat paywall. As far as I can tell, Casey Putsch defended Nicholas J. Fuentes and his fans from direct media attacks and barbed questions, and only ever shared Fuentes’s posts giving up on him pre-emptively to say “What the Hell man?” The greatest “mistake” I’d cite Casey for is starting this thing 4 and a half MONTHS before the election. But hey, SOMEONE finally stood up and ran, and he did a damned good job of it with so little time and what, $128,000 raised? He took 17.5% off of an establishment GOP Chosen One with the backing of the ZioBoomer President, the Indian-Elect Vice, and multiple deep pocket billionaires. He proved that an America First Nationalist can put up numbers and he did it with ZERO help. I’m proud to have supported Casey Putsch and his campaign. I hope more America First Nationalists like him stand up (albeit earlier in their races), and I hope we as Nationalists do a better job of supporting them. I think his campaign was a good prototype that we can build from and learn from. Thank you Casey. 🫵🏼👑💪🏻show more

Elon Musk is building a data center that no... grid has to power and no county has to approve. Musk: “Think of it as a rack of compute in space.” Orbital hardware has always been custom. Each satellite is its own program, its own team, its own decade. SpaceX’s AI1 satellites are copies of each other. Each is built around a single Nvidia NVL72, the same rack-scale architecture running the largest data centers on the ground, redesigned to fly. Space stops being a program and becomes an inventory. Designing for orbit made the rack simpler and cheaper than the ground version, so SpaceX plans to run the space design in terrestrial data centers too. Racks alone have never made a data center. A thousand of them in a building with no network between them is a thousand computers. The interconnect is what turns them into one machine. Training a frontier model means moving enormous volumes of data between processors without pause, and the whole system runs at the speed of its slowest link. That is why the fabric between chips is fought over as hard as the chips themselves. Musk: “And then you can connect these racks of compute to either each other by the laser links, or directly to the Starlink constellation.” Light moves through glass at about two thirds of its speed in a vacuum, and fiber optic cable is glass. Every backbone route and undersea cable on Earth pays that tax. A laser between two satellites pays nothing. Over long distances, an orbital link arrives sooner than the same run in fiber. Orbit was supposed to be a trade, unlimited power in exchange for a worse network. The network is faster. The compute plugs into a delivery layer that is already finished. Thousands of satellites are up there right now carrying laser links, terminating at ground stations and dishes across most of the planet. The last mile was built years before the thing it delivers existed. Anyone else attempting this needs the rocket, the satellite bus, the solar manufacturing, the laser mesh, the ground network, and a supply line to a chipmaker. SpaceX had five of them before the project had a name. None of it was built for this. Starlink existed to sell internet subscriptions. The lasers existed so those subscriptions would work over open ocean. Starship existed for Mars. Nobody planned this. It assembled itself out of problems solved for other reasons. That is what twenty years of hard engineering leaves behind. Every previous expansion of human capability ran on a resource sitting inside somebody’s borders. Coal, oil, water, land. Sunlight in orbit belongs to nobody and never runs out. Compute still has an address. A building in Virginia, a substation, a county that had to approve it, a grid connection someone waited four years for. He is describing a version that only has an altitude.show more
