Once you understand physically that it’s not going to jump out of your hand, the mental part will immediately click. All you need to do to retain the pistol is touch your thumb and middle finger. Then, return to your proper 2 handed support grip. You’ll see immediate improvement. Sometimes I describe grip pressure as holding a soft-boiled or raw egg.
