most AI video tools do one thing okay and... everything else terribly. I gave Wizstar AI a single photo and it built a full marketing video with lip-synced voiceover, translated it into another language, and kept the same character across every scene. Try it → here's a demo I made by myself and I got surprised: → no product distortion or unwanted changes → smooth motion without lag or deformation → consistent product appearance, details, and brandingshow more

SplitPaneKit This is something I've wanted to componentize for... a while. We've seen this pattern appear in a few apps now, I even use it at Abode. It has a couple "gotcha" moments with performance and optimisation while animating separate or child views with the drag and translation of the split views, handling breakpoints etc, I thought I'd put it into a nice package. I actually made quite a few optimisations from how I handle this with Abode in this package. So might need to implement it over there😅 As before, right now its UIKit only, but SwiftUI host will likely come over the next few days as I make improvements and final changes to the initial API from feedback. - Draggable split-pane interface - Custom breakpoints or built-in presets - Scroll view integration - drag from content or handle - Coordinated animations with pan-effecting views - UIKitshow more

The New Jerusalem, the dwelling place of the righteous... after the Apocalypse, is described as measuring 12,000 stadia. That equals roughly 1,500 miles (2,400 km) in length, width, and height. If compared with the continents, it would stretch roughly from New York to Texas, or across much of Europe. The New Jerusalem is described as a golden cube, symbolizing the alchemical process of purifying the soul and transforming ore into gold, or the black cube into gold. It is the dwelling place of God, where Enoch also walks. I made a simulation showing the size of the cube, but in my opinion, the New Jerusalem is a spiritual place.show more

Seems like a good opportunity to share a trick... I used on the React Aria website to make headings scale to fit the viewport on mobile, even with SSR. I used fontkit, a library I wrote 10 years ago to parse fonts and layout glyphs, to measure the width of the heading at build time in the "em" unit. width = font.layout('DateRangePicker').advanceWidth / font.unitsPerEm This is a size independent measurement using the font's internal metrics. When multiplied by any font size, you get the pixel width of the text. To calculate the font size, set this as a CSS variable and divide the target width (100vw minus padding). Clamp to make sure it doesn't get too big or small. font-size: clamp(35px, (100vw - 32px) / var(--text-width), 55px) And tada! You have perfectly scaling text no matter the viewport size. 🎉show more

Gravitational lensing, also known as an Einstein ring This... occurs when the strong gravitational pull of a massive object warps spacetime around it so much that light and other forms of electromagnetic radiation are deflected from a straight path. For example, animations show how a black hole passing in front of a galaxy distorts its visible image. An object with such a powerful gravitational pull is called a gravitational lens.show more
