THE FINALS might just be my perfect fps game...... And what it's made me realize about COD & Battlefield in general - short ttk isn't something I can enjoy for a long sessions. The Finals longer ttk is more forgiving when I make a mistake or playing lazy. And the game design allows for a lot of avenues of attack /escape - the satisfaction of winning a match is very low in COD/BF vs a game like The Finals. The atmosphere they create in game is phenomenal - grinding for guns/attachments and meta builds is annoying. Finals keeps it simple and I far prefer that. If I wanted build depth I'll just play an rpg - the cosmetic customizations are 2nd to none. THE FINALSshow more

AM2R is a triumph. The original Metroid 2 on... Game Boy was my first Metroid game, back when I was about 7. I've since played it about ten times. Over the years I've played all the 2D Metroids over and over, 5 to 20 times each. I don't usually play fan games, but this week I decided to finally give AM2R a shot (on Hard with an Xbox controller), and I gotta say... it's fantastic. It's simultaneously a more faithful remake than Samus Returns, and more satisfying to play and 100% complete. I like Samus Returns alright -- it's probably my least favorite 2D Metroid, still a good game though. But I think AM2R is even better.show more

Every time we see her character kiss Freen on the cheek we learn it was unscripted. Whether it’s a first kiss, a comforting kiss, or a teasing they all convey the love Rebecca can’t suppress at the moment but allows to flow through her characters. I think that’s why the charity kiss affected her so much, it’s a private thing she can’t control that can usually be explained away as her character but this was them and this was Freen initiating the way Rebecca expresses love on live tv she didn’t expect it and couldn’t quite process it in that moment 🤭show more
