Every AI agent scraping the web right now is... running full chrome to do it. rendering a UI nobody looks at, for a browser that never displays a single pixel. lightpanda skips that entirely. written from scratch in zig, not a chromium fork, and it's 11x faster with 9x less memory than chrome in headless mode. → one-line docker install → drops into playwright, puppeteer, and chromedp through cdp, port 9222 11.8k stars for something that basically asks why you were running a full desktop browser to fetch json.show more

🚀 Self-speculation brings 6.75x real speedup for LLM generation... with SGLang inference! Same model drafts future tokens in Diffusion mode → then verifies them in AR (causal) mode. One model and one KV cache. Just different attention masks. Thanks to perfect alignment, we get 2× longer acceptance lengths than MTP techniques (Eagle-3, MTP, dFlash). We run 2 forward passes… but the 2× higher acceptance means we break even - and with zero overhead from extra drafter, KV cache, or LM head that comes with MTP - those are not free. Last week we released Nemotron-Labs-Diffusion + Tri-mode LLMs! We did continued pre-training on Ministral-3 models by switching attention patterns (block causal bidirectional). Result: one model that runs AR mode, Diffusion mode, and Self-Speculation. Diffusion mode already shows high benchmark accuracy - excited to see what happens when someone beats left-to-right acceptance! 🔥 Github: Paper: SGLang inference: Try the models on HF:show more

Every movement starts somewhere. Ours didn’t start with hype.... It started with a mirror. The Birth of The Mirror Hub The Mirror Hub was not born from hype or shortcuts. It was born from conviction. In early 2025, Mrs Evelyn Ayawari Damilola Spare stood at the center of an idea one that believed African youths deserved more than surface-level Web3 exposure. They deserved depth, structure, ownership, and a future-proof path. By her side was her husband, co-founder, strategist, and builder providing strength, balance, and execution power. Together, they laid the foundation of what would become The Mirror Hub. The vision was simple but bold: To reflect Web3 education, innovation, and opportunity back to the next generation clearly, truthfully, and powerfully. From that vision, a small team formed. Then the team grew. By mid-2025, The Mirror Hub had evolved into a core team of 15 committed individuals, cutting across: Community Building Education & Training Marketing & Growth Content Creation Development Research Consultation Program Management Different backgrounds. Different strengths. One mission.show more

Hot Take 👀 The new Glass slider in iOS... 27 should be the benchmark for every mobile OS. I mean, this takes customization to a completely different level. Users can actually control how much Liquid Glass they want instead of being forced into a single design choice. Meanwhile, One UI can barely offer this level of UI customization 😌 When it comes to UI/UX, Apple is the king. Samsung, prove me wrong by copying this for One UI 👀🔥show more

Most chiral molecules arise from carbons being bonded to... 4 different atoms, which are called sterocenters. The makes the molecule have a different mirror image that cannot arise from simple rotation. But, you can have chiral molecules not from stereocenters. You can have chirality that doesn't come from a single point in the molecule. It comes from some global property. The classic example is helicene, which doesn't have any stereocenters, but has chirality because of hits helical structure. This means you cannot capture this molecule with a graph, and thus SMILES or a string representation cannot capture this. Of course natural language comes to the rescue (just say in words if it's left-handed or right-handed helix), but it's an interesting failure mode for viewing molecules as just a graph. Another example of a molecule with helical chirality is DNA. DNA is actually chiral in two ways, which is kind of confusing. It has both helical structure and stereocenters. You won't find the stereocenters ever flipped, but left-handed helical DNA can exist (called Z-DNA). Interestingly, making the flipped stereocenter of DNA could be part of an entire mirror organism (mirror RNA, DNA, AAs, sugars) that would then be potentially invisible to our immune systems. This has been recently proposed as a "mechanism" for how a runaway AI system could cause harm to Earth. I find it to be a pretty tedious and difficult way to cause harm, but it is intellectually cool. Anyway - this came up in a PhD defense and I have a lot of arcane knowledge about this I wanted to dump.show more

THIS GUY GOT TIRED OF FAKE NEWS SO HE... BUILT A LIVESTREAM MAP WHERE ANYONE CAN SHOW WHAT'S ACTUALLY HAPPENING ON THE GROUND you open a map, tap a location anywhere in the world, and see live video from someone standing there right now basically a raw livestream from the person who is physically there this would be amazing for documenting civil unrest and protests think about what this means for breaking news. earthquake hits somewhere, you open the map and watch 50 different people streaming from different angles in real time the moderation challenge is going to be insane though (live unfiltered video from anywhere in the world with no delay isn't exactly easy to maintain on an app) but if they figure it out this could be one of the most important apps built this yearshow more
