Washed the iPhone 17 Pro Max USB-C port with... fresh water to flush out salt residue. Hopefully this fixes the minor charging disconnect issue. I had submerged the iPhone 17 Pro Max in seawater to capture aquatic life and later forced Emergency Override for charging after it kept showing a warning even after 30 hours. After that, PD charging stopped working, while MagSafe and USB-C power bank charging worked fine. After 2–3 days, PD charging started working again, but it still disconnects occasionally and needs to be reinserted. Let’s see if flushing out the salt residue fixes it.show more

I think seawater did something… strange to my iPhone... 17 Pro Max charging port. Now when I plug in the charger and turn on the switch at the same time, it shows charging a bit late compared to the iPhone 16 Pro Max and 15 Pro Max. Today I also noticed it does not charge at all with a 25W charger, but it works with 45W and 65W chargers. Should I go to the Apple Store and replace the charging port, or just use the chargers that work? Will this problem get worse over time?show more

I was basically interrogated about my sex life to... qualify for baptism in Assemblies of God. I was a MINOR and was told that if I wasn’t baptized, I would not go into higher institution. After 3 MONTHS of baptism classes, we had to appear before elders for a baptismal interview. If you failed, you would not be baptized. They asked if I had started having sex, if I had a boyfriend, if I watched porn and if I had ever stolen. They even asked for my phone so they could go through it. I had left mine at home charging. The disappointment on their faces when I said this was something else. A married woman was asked if she had cheated on her husband, how many boyfriends she had before marriage and if she had visited a native doctor. We had a manual. Guess what they barely asked about? The manual. Even as a child, I was irritated. Looking back, I still wonder: what exactly did my sex life have to do with baptism? Pentecostal churches should do better.show more

After almost 6months, I finally got SuiPlay!!! Crazy experience... so far: -Late shipping -Short battery life (couldn’t even finish updating with 35% battery life) -Device is super hot it could cook beans -ROI for me is not worth it But for the support and fun of it all, I have a Suiplay. However, I won’t fail to commend the packaging, it’s top notch + the design, for me it’s sleek, a bit heavy. The holding experience for me is good! Also customer services was good regarding communication just a lil work on response time🫂. Don’t know how the software will play out but anyhow, till I charge it again. Apple put a nano-texture layer on the iPhone Duo,... but I don’t think it was the right move. Yes, it’s effective for hiding the crease. But as someone who’s used several folding phones, I know that crease is NOT as big an issue as people make it to be. It’s hardly noticeable once you use your fold for more than a few days. However, the lack of contrast is a much bigger dealbreaker on nano-texture/matte displays. I don’t like matte screens at all. To the point I’d even trade my monitor’s matte screen for a glossy one, even tho it would mean dramatically more reflections. I’d take the reflections over the lack of contrast. A matte screen is like turning your OLED into an IPS for no reason.show more

I found an old screen recording from my iPhone... 11 Pro Max with iOS 17 Decided to compare the animations to my iPhone 17 with iOS 27, and I have so many thoughts 😭 Overall, iOS 17 is INFINITELY smoother than iOS 27, purely due to its animation speed. Opening and closing apps is slow and elegant, accompanied by a beautiful wallpaper zoom. 27 is rough, fast, and lacks fluidity. For some reason, they got rid of the wallpaper zoom when opening/closing apps, making everything feel flat. All of that is paired with the atrocious performance of the iOS screen recorder that started with iOS 18 and still hasn’t been fixed. Notice how there are zero jitters on iOS 17, but both jitters and artifact on 27. This is not a hate post. I just wanted to share my thoughts. And no, this isn’t the problem of a “beta”. Stable iOS 26 has the exact same issues. Thanks 💔show more

The past year has seen me have a renaissance,... in the truest sense… I won’t go into details now but will at some point before long. What has brought so much happiness to my life and those around me this past year has been my falling back in love with sport. Cycling has, and always will be, my number one. Yet I’d forgotten that I simply love sport, not for results but for the sheer joy of doing it, I’d completely forgotten that the health of my mind is intrinsically connected to the health of my body. I’ve rediscovered the love I had for sport that existed before the world of professional cycling took over in the way it did. I’ve been pushing myself and trying new things this past year, indifferent to the results, just out having fun and at times going deeper than I thought I was capable of anymore. Last week I got on a TT bike for the first time in a decade, Factor Bikes built me a bike, I’ve been looking at it for two years and decided it was time to get fitted, getting back on it felt like going home. Anyway, the long and the short of this is that it’s inspired me to create a club to inspire and be inspired. A community for us to share our love for getting out there and doing it, because I’ve realized that although I spend most of my sporting life on my own I derive the most pleasure when feeling part of something. It’s in its early days, I’ve called it Sporting Club CHPT3 aka SCC3, I’d love you to check it out and join. It’s still in its infancy, but I hope it’s going to grow into something that will inspire you as much as me.show more
