There’s truth to this. I was in the food... service for 20+ years and there’s actually a reason why this is done. We would hand out clear cups to whites so we could tell if they were actually getting water VS a soda they didn’t pay for. Whites are privileged and we refused to let them take advantage of that. We handed out red cups to the blacks because we knew they were poor and needed to steal to enjoy finer things in life. The red would hide the bubbles in a sprite or similar soda.
