It is disappointing that Amorim still hasn’t changed the... biggest concern in his model. I don’t see enough upside to justify the trade-off. Amorim continues to push the central center back, De Winter or Gabbia, into midfield from goal kicks. It hasn’t generated any meaningful advantage. Instead, it forces the wingbacks deeper because the wide center backs are narrower, leaving Milan without width on the last line in deep buildup and making them easier to press. A much better solution would be using the 4-2-5, with the keeper alongside the central center back and the wide center backs going wider. This would allow Milan to maintain constant width with the wingbacks high while creating more space in the buildup. The issue carries into settled possession. Because the wingbacks start deeper, they have to travel from deep to high once Milan exit deep buildup, making it easier for the opposition to trap them in wide areas and jump aggressively. This hasn’t caused Amorim as many problems as it did in England, primarily because Milan have a much greater qualitative advantage over most of their opposition than United did.show more

He used the 3-2-5, with the left back providing the width on the left, the left winger in the left half-space, the 10 in the right half-space, and the right winger remaining wide, while the right back takes a more conservative position initially before joining dynamically. It’s exactly the model he had at Middlesbrough. Compare that to the 4-2-4 double false nine approach he has used in the Premier League. It requires a lot more mobility to arrive in positions. You don’t have a fixed 9, both strikers drop into midfield, and with only 4 players in the last line, someone constantly has to arrive. You also lack numbers in the box. Overall, the references end up being too unspecific, and the players lose clarity in execution. They get much more stable references and better balance in the 3-2-5. Kudos to Kevin Kisner getting the REAL issue when... it comes to the modern golf ball… While discussing the ball Ray Floyd used to win the 1986 U.S. Open at Shinnecock, he correctly references SPIN more than SPEED. Yes, the modern ball flys WAY farther, but the easiest fix would be to mandate more spin on the ball. The worst part of the ball traveling insane distances is that, because of no real spin, the mishits do not go off line NEARLY as much as they used to. If the spin returned, hitting a 350 yard drive would carry with it the HUGE risk of a mishit heading for deep trouble, even bringing many out of bounds back into play. As a result, not only would hitting a driver create far more drama than it currently does, it would cause most players to self regulate by hitting 3-woods and irons off the tee to keep the ball in play. This would effectively solve the distance problem because it would cause significantly longer shots to be played into the greens. The Australian government does not deserve our trust, or... our respect. Today, Minister Penny Wong sat back in her chair grappling for words, desperately looking for the right lie to tell. The political establishment in Australia is not entirely stupid,... they just think you are. As they lament the rise of One Nation, they pretend they don't understand it. Because if they showed us that they understand the resons, they then have to make a major admission. Hanson's rise is all their fault. Because the major parties and the faux independents have been on a unity ticket on all of the big problems they have jointly caused for decades. They can’t hide from the messes they have caused, so now they want to blame everyone else but themselves. Today, on ABC’s Insiders, Annabel Crab belled the cat, as Karvelas did the two step crab walk. Annabel correctly diagnoses the political situation here right now. It is not a love for Hanson, or One Nation that is causing the surge, but a total lack of faith in the other offerings. It almost does not matter what Hanson says or does, because her greatest strengths are that she is there, and she is not one of them. Those are enduring traits and the more the major parties hit her, the more the media carry on about her, and the more the establishment present her as a “deplorable”, the more people they will push in her direction. It is like they are in quicksand... the more they struggle, the deeper they sink. People are growing ready for wild political change. A worsening economy and a growing collapse in social cohesion has put the nation on edge. The big end of town want to pretend everything will be fine when the latest special envoy delivers their newest report, but nothing changes. Nothing changes because nothing is supposed to change. Because the government, the opposition and their Green Teal cheer squads want things just the way they are. They didn’t just pass all of the enabling legislation for no reason. Kennedy Center Board Votes to Honor Trump with Inscription... The Kennedy Center board voted Thursday to add an inscription recognizing President Trump for restoring and renovating the performing arts center. The new wording will read: “The John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts, Restored and Renovated by President Donald J. Trump.” In its resolution, the board said it wants to “recognize and honor President Trump’s existential and unprecedented contributions to the survival of the center by all legal means,” crediting him with bringing the institution back “from the brink of disaster.” The board also approved closing the main building for two years to complete major renovations. Rep. Joyce Beatty, an ex officio board member who has opposed the changes, criticized the vote: “This morning’s decision to close the Center and the surprise agenda item to put Donald Trump’s name back on the building was more of the same. This latest development is a transparent effort to circumvent the Court’s ruling.” I disagree with Beatty. This honor for Trump is appropriate. The rejuvenated Kennedy Center is being saved because of Trump and his associates, so it’s only fitting that he’s recognized for it. How many copies of the book sold last year, maybe at best, I’d guess worldwide - maybe around 200,000 and that’s across all countries, languages, translations and they all seem to those convene on X like it’s the bar on Cheers “Norm!” I have studied in depth Machiavelli, the sources Machiavelli refers to, the Borgia’s, The medicis, the history of Florence, his plays and not just Livy’s histories but the histories he used as source material, so I understand machiavelli’s intention of irony, I understand thr use of cruelty in the shocking death of de orco , I understand his use of numbers and so in and so in. I have read many many academic papers covering the most minute things in his works. I don’t discuss Machiavelli except in passing, I acknowledge “oh you read The Prince (a shorter book usually assigned in schools because it easily fits within the semester)” and then usually disengage. Should a movie be made of any of his works I would see it and if it gets a few people interested in learning more and going to the library that would be great. Likewise, for almost all people - the Machiavelli movie would be enough to have satiated their desire to know ‘who he is and what he wrote and why he wrote it’ I am not a snob. I read just enough Plato to say “I read Plato” and that’s it. Some people want to delve deep into his works. I didn’t - but by definition I have “read Plato” But Plato is easy to read because it’s bite size. The odyssey isn’t bite size. Remarkable that on this platform that exploits a super quick attention span, these same users who can’t make it though an axios article or a 4 tweet thread can flip a switch in their noodle and transform themselves into the Burgess Meredith character in The Twilight Zone. Why Having a Satellite Network is So Important In... 2023, the Russians were about to close a deal with a certain North Korean MLRS, but the deal fell through exactly because the North Koreans, +20 years ago, had revolted against Russian opposition to their nuclear program and switched from GLONASS to BeiDou. Only few years ago, the NK returned to Glonass and started converting their equipment to work with dual GNSS guidance. But why did the deal sour? Because the Chinese did not authorize the use of their satellites in the Ukraine conflict. The same problem occurred with the Belarusian POLONEZ MLRS, which uses missiles based on Chinese technology. Today, Iran has switched from GPS to BeiDou, aiming for greater resistance to jammers and integration with Chinese systems. This shows that a missile program is much more than the missiles themselves. It is necessary to have one's own constellation, even if it is strictly military and regionalized, with resources for monitoring and target acquisition, in addition to the ability to deal with jammers and spoofers. When I mentioned Iran and BeiDou, it is the beginning and serves as a gateway that enables integration with Chinese networks, provided the Chinese decide to allow it. However, it is essentially a massive gateway, with numerous smaller, more specialized sub-channels operating underneath. For targeting moving objects, Iran would need to receive data from the Guowang or Yaogan networks. In the last six months, the Chinese could have provided partial integration. At this stage, since the Iranians are conducting their ISR primarily with drones, I believe the Chinese are not sharing data from the LEO satellites in those networks. Iran also has its own satellites, but the Chinese network is far more mature and likely equipped with a wide array of integration and data-sharing tools. While the Chinese are providing intelligence to Iran, I believe they are prudent in doing so to preserve the relationships they have built with other Arab states. At this moment, I believe that the sharing of intelligence from satellites isn’t in real time. For a country like Iran, it is crucial to have GNSS independence with its own program. The same applies to other medium-sized countries, which need at least an LEO constellation capable of providing the minimum ISR, and this is linked to security, but also a series of other factors. I'll give a practical example here. Drones usually lose link with 50% of their range in the Amazon due to weather conditions. With an LEO constellation, this would not occur. Today, to have independence, a constellation project is necessary.show more

It was previously brought back in because it was unable to hunt and would have starved to death. The collar allows it to be identified and tracked. Minutes before that I saw 6 more Cybercabs head down there as well (couldn't record). When I got the service center minutes after them, not a single one in sight. Another BIG WIN in court. Gov. Whitmer and MEDC... just caved and agreed to return the $370 million in Democrat slush funds. They tried to shove all this waste, fraud and abuse into slush funds, and I said no way. Our Budget committee took a stand and BLOCKED it. Then the Democrats tried to sneak it out the door illegally, and I sued them to stop that. Now they finally agreed with my demand. That money is coming back to the state and we can find a much better use for it to protect the taxpayers and give them better value. Thank you to the Republicans on the House Appropriations Committee for having the backbone to take a stand and put a stop to this. Their vote to block the work project designation was valid, and the money will be put into the General Fund just as the statute requires. And just like it always should have been. So, my opinion on what the Antarctic (Antarctica) Anomaly... is that it's a type of frequency technology. It must be way more powerful than HAARP, as many have claimed it to be, because we would see these anomalies at other HAARP sites, and we don't, not like this. With that said, and I'm very much trying to avoid letting what I want it to be not play a part here, I think it is a technology that is being used either off the coast of Antarctica itself or Bouvet Island. A third possibility is an area just to the northwest of the island that looks odd. It's possible it is a sonar scan from a ship, but why in that remote location? It looks like an antenna set up or rows of something that is out of place. I also believe that the weather events and fires that have taken place in Africa could possibly have been because of this. Each time we saw the anomaly, it was followed by a destructive weather event in Africa. A weird connection to that is we have been told and warned of a very busy 2024 Atlantic hurricane season. This is in part because of the above-average Atlantic ocean temperatures, which is the fuel to Hurricanes. With all this info, it's possible to see how the Anomaly could be a frequency tech that can manipulate or create weather, And or WARM up the Ocean temps to purposely enhance the Hurricane season and Storm growth. Keep in mind that many of our hurricanes and many of the biggest hurricanes have come from the west coast of Africa and form over the Cape Verde islands before heading towards the Caribbean and the United States.
