Former Premier League star Shay Given has been condemned... by viewers for describing Wilfried Nancy's managerial stint at Celtic as 'an absolute Holocaust', live on the BBC. The extraordinary and offensive word selection from the 49-year-old ex-goalkeeper was broadcast during his punditry duty on Final Score on Saturday. Nancy's disastrous tenure in Glasgow lasted 33 days before he was sacked and Given described it as 'a absolute Holocaust' - which was the genocide of six million European Jews by Nazi Germany and collaborators in World War II. Presenter Jason Mohammad ignored the word choice from his colleague at the time but later apologised on the broadcast. It happened when Mohammed asked Given: 'What have you made of what's gone on at Celtic, Wilfied Nancy going after the defeat against Rangers, awful in the second half? Given replied: 'Nancy was terrible from start to finish, I don't think they should have ended Martin's (O'Neill's) short tenure at the start. It was the week leading up to the Hearts game, top of the league clash, then Roma in the Europa League and St Mirren in the League Cup final, I thought Martin should have been given that week at least. Nancy took over that week and had an absolute Holocaust in that week and it was just a nightmare from then on, the defeats and Rangers last weekend was the final straw, final nail in the coffin.'show more

This gentleman has every right to pursue his faith, I have no issues at all. Pursue it till your hearts content, but not in uniform, and not at work. This small gesture of pointing to the sky will likely offend many who disagree, and cause a complete further breakdown in trust and confidence in policing. Here's Mothin Ali. He's the Deputy Leader of the... Green Party in the UK. I have absolutely no idea what his "green" credentials are. I have absolutely no idea what his "green" policies are. I have absolutely no idea what "green" initiatives he's involved in. Why's that? Because I've NEVER seen him utter a single word about "green" issues. I have however, on multiple occasions, seen him shouting and screaming about "Gaza" and "Palestine" to a point where he yells "Allahu Akbar" which is, of course, the battle cry when an insane islamist is about to stab you in the chest with a knife, remove your head with a machete or ensure your 14 year old daughters body parts need to be picked off the ceiling of the Manchester Arena. Many people believe the World is over populated but the above actions are a rather excessive means of population control. How many bleeding bodies at Christmas markets does it take to save one tree? I can't find this information in the Green Party manifesto.show more

A well-deserved standing ovation for these record-setting Jayhawks as... they leave the field one final time at Hoglund Ballpark. A truly transformative season ends on the doorstep of Omaha, but with so many firsts and bests along the way from an all-time great Jayhawk team. This group not only put Lawrence, KS on the college baseball map hosting our first ever Regionals and Super Regionals, but honestly, they united and ignited a Jayhawk fanbase in ways I’ve never seen a spring sport do in all my years on campus. It was truly a magical run for Fitz Magic and his team. A season, a ball club and the start of a new home field atmosphere that we’ll never, ever forget. Rock Chalk, Jayhawk.show more

Today's #SaturdaySleeper is RHP Derek Vartanian (Campbell Baseball). He... comes to Campbell by way of Gaston College, where last season he pitched his way to a 3.08 ERA with an impressive strikeout-to-walk ratio of 76-to-9 across 76 IP. Slender build at 6'4", 200-lbs. Short, quick arm stroke and attacks from a high-three quarter slot. Vartanian's FB will sit in the 93-96 range, but this fall he topped out at 98. Features big time carry through the zone with upwards of 24" of IVB. There is still likely more in the tank, especially with better use of his lower-half. Vartanian features two distinct breaking balls with a SL and CB. High-80s gyro SL is still developing, but at times flashes effective late, lateral movement. Low-80s CB boasts big time depth with some teeth and almost true 12-6 break. His best secondary pitch is his Splitter. It plays really well off his FB as it sits 80-82, and features big time fade to the arm side with some tumble. Vartanian does an excellent job of killing spin, and the spin rate on his changeup will get as low as 800 rpm. Vartanian this spring will anchor Campbell's rotation and be the cornerstone of the Camels pitching staff. An advanced strike thrower whose stuff will only tick up, Vartanian profiles as a starter professionally and a potential Top 5 round pick this July.show more

Almost 3 weeks ago, Charlie stood in front of... General Douglas MacArthur’s statue in Incheon South Korea and read these words out loud: “There is no boundary in justice, nor is there any obstacle to struggle, mountain or sea. A man who executed such a struggle in the spirit of justice, to the triumph of the cause of the free world and to the gratitude and admiration of mankind, is the man whom this statue represents. General Douglas MacArthur was born in the United States of America on January 26, 1880, the second son of General Arthur MacArthur. A half-century military career, from second lieutenant to five-star general, studded with many brilliant actions, was crowned by the Japanese surrender and his appointment as Supreme Commander of the occupational forces in that defeated nation. With the surrender of Japan came Korean independence, but unfortunately the country became grievously divided. And worse, on June 25, 1950, the Communists from the North launched an attack against this Republic. Instantly, the American Government decided to come to our rescue and General MacArthur was ordered to command the forces joined in battle against the Communist aggressors. It was here at Inchon that we knew the incalculable height of his genius: with the infinite capacity of his vision he conceived, and on September 15, 1950, he personally executed an almost unbelievable landing operation, which instantly turned the course of the war to the triumph of freedom and the salvation of this Republic. This is a deed, and this is a man to hold eternally in honored memory. And thus it is by the authority and the contributions of a grateful people that the General Douglas MacArthur Statue Committee, consisting of representatives from all walks of life, has raised this figure fashioned in General MacArthur’s heroic mold by Professor Kyung Seung Kim to overlook this hallowed scene for all ages to come. We shall never forget what he and his valiant officers and men of the United Nations Command did here for us and for freedom. And until the last battle against the malignant infection of Communism has finally been won, may we never forget it was also he who said, “In war, there is no substitute for victory.” September 15, 1957show more

Alastor’s skin tone is very important to his perspective... as a character, let’s be SO real right now. He was someone discriminated against in life who had to work all the harder to succeed - while the entertainment industry catered exactly to the exact types of people America did: rich, white men. Alastor wasn’t afforded ANY of that privilege, ESPECIALLY in the South. He started life that many systemic steps behind, while others he often interacted with had a head start. He learned that brilliance and talent was not always protection, not when his legitimacy was withheld, how his voice could be celebrated while his body remained suspect, his presence tolerated only when disembodied and entertaining. So what did he do? He made sure that he wouldn’t start in the afterlife at the bottom. He conducted rituals, murders, research - all to reach the other side, and essentially plan his OWN head start. Even in his dialogue, the reference to “I know what awaits a man like me,” “exist in Hell a tortured soul,” “I want to secure myself amongst the highest demons” — all can be read as metaphors of counter-containment and oppression. Alastor is far aware of how he is received in spaces on Earth, and how he wants to secure himself much higher & outside of those preconceptions - his own special privilege. Let’s not forget this critical part to Alastor’s character - it gives further context to how we see him navigate his afterlife. He has already lived inside hierarchies that assign punishment in advance, and he refuses to let that happen again.show more

Nick Dumesnil (California Baptist Baseball) has as much upside... as anyone in the 2025 draft. With question marks early on about how he'd fare against the top arms in the country on the Cape, "Doomey" proved quickly as one of the best players in the summer league circuit. His hands start high with the bat coiled behind his head. While a somewhat unorthodox approach, he's able to get his bat head up and hands lowered upon loading. It's an explosive operation with elite bat speed, averaging as much as 79.9 mph in the CCBL (per @Blast_Bsbl). It's a consistent swing making hard contact and driving the ball to both gaps (led the CCBL with 12 2B). The quick hip hinge allows for a powerful on-time rotation through the ball as he barrels the ball at a high clip (up to 30.4% this summer per Joe Doyle). Then there's the speed. Doomey set the Brewster Whitecap SB record with 26 (27 ATT) in 36 G. His 96.2% success rate is the highest in league history for someone with 20+ steals in a season (per League Statistician). He gets good jumps on the base paths and good reads off the bat defensively. There is some swing and miss to his game. He walks at an average rate (8.6 BB% in the CCBL) and struck out just 12.9% of the time in the WAC but that went up to 21.7% this summer. There's some chase low out of the zone vs break and did way more damage vs LHP (.435/.469/.783; .348 ISO) than RHP (.247/.333/.337; .090 ISO). A true five-tool talent, Nick Dumesnil made a name for himself this summer on the Cape, and will soon be at the top of many teams' draft boards next July.show more

More revelations are coming out about Jim Goad, including... the revelation that the criticism people leveled at him online---including myself---may have played a role in the crushing depression that led him to take his own life. In his podcast yesterday memorializing Goad, Gavin McInnes states that he believes Goad's 2024 debate with Owen Benjamin broke Goad mentally. Not only is he visibly tired and flustered during the debate, Benjamin accused Goad of abandoning his severely autistic son. According to McInnes, after the debate, Goad told McInnes, "He's right. I did abandon my son." Apparently this was the first time Goad ever conceded that one of his critics was right about him. McInnes---a close friend of Goad's---also claims "in many ways, he was already dead. Last time I spoke to him, I had solutions to his problems, but he wasn't interested." I was the one who discovered what Goad did to his son all the way back in 2018; around the time of the infamous Luke Ford stream (where me, Nick Fuentes, Baked Alaska, and a bunch of others clowned on Goad for hours), a local Atlanta TV station ran a story about how Goad's then ten-year-old son had formed a bond with a local Santa. Goad had split up with his wife Shannon some years before, admitting in one of his podcasts that he was the one who filed for divorce. Goad was so angered by this expose that he recorded and published a phone call with his ex-wife where he refuted the idea that he was a "deadbeat dad." Nobody accused him of being a deadbeat. He was accused of abandoning his disabled son to be raised in a broken home. Goad's self-image of a dedicated truth-telling emotionally unaffected loner and his critics being jilted fans was a carefully constructed lie. He was extremely sensitive to criticism and carefully curated his online image. This included trying to deplatform his critics (as he tried to do to me; in addition to false-flagging my YouTube channel, he successfully got me banned from Medium and may have gotten my website taken down in 2019 through false reports to my webhost), viciously attacking anyone who criticized him even mildly, no matter how obscure they were (as Andy Nowicki reveals in a recent video), and manipulating others into defending him publicly. If you ever got into an online argument with Jim Goad and he felt like he was losing (aka every argument), you'd immediately get dogpiled by a bunch of his friends and exes backing him up. Goad even severed relationships with people he felt were insufficiently willing to defend his honor. For years, he bragged that my ex Ann Sterzinger was going to write a tell-all book about me that would completely destroy my reputation, most recently in a 2022 podcast with Greg Johnson (I believe he ALSO brought it up in an 2023 interview with Ethan Ralph, but don't quote me on that). Sterzinger confessed in private messages that Goad pushed her to write the book to "save his reputation" and became violently angry with her when she never finished it. She also denounced him as a narcissist following the end of their friendship, accused him of lying, said he would complain about "how the fame he pretends he never really wanted never really came his way," and claimed that in 2018, he manipulated her into "pretend[ing] to be OK after being raped" so he could use her as a weapon in his upcoming "debate" with me. Sterzinger also admits that Goad would privately shit-talk his supposed "friends," claiming he shit-talked Gavin McInnes to her and shit-talked her to McInnes. This is corroborated by emails I exchanged with Goad's former friend/co-host Keith Lee. Keith also stated back in 2018 that Goad was "losing control" due to his inability to curate how he was perceived online. Does any of this diminish Goad's influence as a writer? No. But the reality that he lied about himself and others constantly and sought to destroy anyone who criticized him was a consistent feature of his personality. The fact that me and others may have played a role in his depression and suicide makes me feel terrible, even if I was justified in attacking him for what he tried to do to me. I discussed this with a friend and he hypothesized that as Goad's health worsened, it stripped him of his usual coping mechanisms and forced him to confront his personal traumas and lifelong abusive behavior, and he simply couldn't cope. The real bomb in his brain was not his tumor, but his guilt. In any event, if there's an afterlife, I hope he's found some peace.show more

Honoring a Victory for Human Rights Today, I arrived... in the Central Kgalagadi Game Reserve (CKGR) to honor the life of Gaoberekwe Pitseng, a man whose right to be buried in his ancestral land was unjustly denied by the previous government. For nearly three years, his body remained in a mortuary as his family fought tirelessly for the dignity of his final resting place. As their former legal representative, I worked alongside his family to advocate for their wishes, but sadly, the court ruled against us, siding with the government at the time. Basarwa, like all of us, hold deeply rooted indigenous beliefs that deserve respect and recognition. It was profoundly unjust for Gaoberekwe Pitseng to be denied the right to choose his resting place, a privilege afforded to every other Motswana. Upon assuming office, I directed that this government would no longer contest his burial in CKGR. Instead, we granted his family the opportunity to lay him to rest in his ancestral home, fulfilling what his spirit needed to rest in peace. I wish it never had to come to this, but we are here now, finally making this right. Tomorrow, on World Human Rights Day, Gaoberekwe Pitseng will be buried in CKGR, resting in perfect peace with his ancestors. This is a powerful moment for human rights, dignity, and justice. I joined our people in CKGR today to prepare for this significant occasion. It is well! 🙏 #GaoberekwePitsengRests #HumanRights #CentralKgalagadiGameReserveshow more
