Taste is invisible until you try to write it... down. This is probably my biggest lesson with AI building as of late. At Sundial, I get to work with really friggin' amazing analysts who know the art, and I see how much of our collective time now is now spent turning that art into playbooks or skills for an LLM. Encoding things like: "How would a great analyst actually look at this metric move?" or "What is ACTUALLY the interesting signal in this story versus noise?" or "How can we know if a product change actually moved the needle?" It's really humbling work! You write an instruction set. The LLM misses. You add more context. It still misses. You add even more. Now it's confused. You strip it back. Now it's too vague. You try a different framing. Better, but inconsistent. Works on Monday, fails on Tuesday. You go again. I've come to realize the gap between 70% quality and 95% quality is not 3 or 4 big things. It's more like 100s of small things. Which is exactly why you can't write an article about it, or copy it, or shortcut it! This gap *is* taste, quantified. The accumulated weight of a thousand small judgments you don't notice you're making, until you sit down to externalize them and realize you can't. Being good at something is not the same as being able to articulate why you're good at it. I now see two bottlenecks to making something better than today's generic AI: 1. Can you *see* what better looks like in the first place? 2. Even if you can see, can you *articulate* what that is in a way that the LLM can understand and systemize? #2 is now a new craft, the art of distilling the art. Did Fortnite REVEAL a HUGE Retcon⁉️ When rewatching the... official Fortnite Story Recap, something strange appears. The Loop Bubble is shown popping from Fracture and transitioning DIRECTLY into the result of the Big Bang, with this sentence being spoken as it happens: - "The Conflict ended with the Zero Point shattered and strewn across all realities" 💥 This line comes directly after Jones' explains the IO vs Seven War, which took place throughout Chapter 2 & 3, with Fracture finishing off the storyline. This "conflict" did NOT continue into Chapter 4...and not a single line was spoken about the events that took place in that chapter, or Jones' time travel leading to the Big Bang. While Chapter 5 wasn't shown either, the difference is there really isnt anything on a big enough scale that happened that chapter except for Hope's introduction that would need to be shown to us for the overall storyline to make sense...but Jones' being the cause of the Big Bang was a pivotal plot point. This begs a seriously huge question -- Did Fortnite retcon Chapter 4? 💭 I know this is automatically going to be a scary topic for people, but I think this is VERY important to discuss since this is the FIRST EVER official Storyline Recap we've received from Fortnite, and they specifically didn't acknowledge how the Zero Point ACTUALLY shattered - Jones traveling back in time. We all know Chapter 4 was all over the place with unfinished plots, and also didn't arrive to us as intended due to developmental issues at Epic during this time. If we take a second to even entertain the idea that Chapter 4 "didnt happen"...it could actually work nicely. 💡 The Herald and The Last Reality succeed in their plan of destroying the Zero Point -- they shatter it in Fracture. This causes a HUGE Big Bang to occur, reorganizing everything and sending Shards of the Zero Point across all realities. Jones arrives to Hope's Home Reality after Fracture, and the Shard Storyline begins from there. ☄️ This takes out a huge unnecessary gap of time, when really nothing much happened. The Shapeless Man storyline was abandoned (for now), MEGA didn't do anything but lead to Wilds, which reintroduced Slone (we'll get to this in a second), and Last Resort was entirely themed after getting the Time Machine for the Big Bang, with Kado Thorne dying the same season. I ALSO would like to mention that Jones was quite literally absent the ENTIRE Chapter except for the end...our main character of the storyline. As you can see, nothing of importance to the overall plot of the Storyline ever occured this Chapter except for the dead-beginning, except for Dr Slone appearing later on, which could now easily be revisited in MUCH better ways...🌌 If Chapter 4 is retconned, how could the Shapeless man & Doctor Slone be used again? It's simple. For Doctor Slone, we have no idea where she's even been since Big Bang. She appeared briefly, helped the Island escape a full-reality collapse, and then has been MIA since Big Bang. They can return Slone however they'd like, because it really doesn't make much of a difference between us having last seen her in Collision, or in Last Resort. Her interactions with Jones in OG are the only important pieces, which I feel like they could still never reference given the interesting relationship those 2 characters have anyway. Perhaps all of these years without the Imagined Order has unclouded Slone's judgement, so she acts friendlier to Jones when they reunite again, just as they did in the original OG. 🤝 As for the Shapeless Man, he was introduced & teased by Rift Warden Stellan, but never actually arrived in-game, or was referenced...ever again. If (or when) the Shapeless Man does appear again, Epic could really do whatever they want given how little we know about this character in the first place. If it's Geno, it's truly as simple as just reestablishing Geno back into the Storyline in modern day. The Shapeless Man doesn't need to ever be referenced again, because we can assume it would've just been him working in the shadows anyway if thats what they intended. 🏰 I know this is very out of nowhere, but the order of events they described in the OFFICIAL Story Recap felt very intentional, so I wanted to touch on this idea that they perhaps decided Chapter 4 is better off retconned. ALL of the characters introduced this chapter would still exist, including the Triarchy, the Ancients, etc, because they all exist out there in the Omniverse. The "retcon" would purely be that the Island never occured -- Fracture shattered the Zero Point and restarted the Omnniverse, all to The Last Reality's plan. 🛸 Things that would no longer have happened: - Zero Fusion + Paradigm's "Sacrifice" - AMIE leaving in the Rift gate, lines about the Seven being "Sculpted Anew" (lines up with The Order's sudden appearance, and the way she talks about the Seven) - Slone's Return in Wilds - Kado Thorne's death - Jones travelling back in time - Big Bang caused by Jones Things that WOULD still have happened: - Events of early Oathbound + Stellan's hauntings, just in their home reality - Some of the Seven being in possession of TLR, since this happened in Fracture - Triarchy and other characters still exist, just weren't dragged into Asteria - Unseen + Nox invading MEGA City and wiping TLR database, just in their home reality instead - *Possibly* Slone's character arc, just off-screen wherever they want her to have been - Kado Thorne's Time Machine + messing with the past Let me know your thoughts (respectfully, please! I am a Licensed Electrical Contractor, I work for... a company that manufactures and installs commercial LED fixtures. Just finished a job for a US Govco building. 1. The drivers work on any voltage range between 115-277 or 460-480, depending on the application. 2. Flickering (Strobing) is 95% from a Defective Driver. 3. There is no possible way all these drivers are going bad at the same time. 4. The only logical, technical answer to this is that the frequency of the power is unstable. US is 60Hz European is 50Hz. 60 or 50 Cycles per Second. For this to happen on a large scale, the Utility Provider has to have an imbalance between Production and Load. Very uncommon. 5. Excessive loads on the grid, normally the computer switches part of the load to a different substation. 6. There isn't a logical explanation for this on a wide scale, other than more planned PSYOP'S, to create more panic and fear. 7. Walmarts, Airports, Hospitals, Essential Structures like Police, Fire, etc. Are always fed from a minimum of 2 different substations. Many are fed from 3 with automatic transfer gear. 8. If this wasn't a PSYOP, or Intentional planned exercise to create more panic. Utility workers would be all over this, in less than 30 minutes. 5-Month Methylene Blue Update I've been taking Methylene Blue... since October and I wanted to reflect on the first 5 months with it. I’ve been micro-dosing to experience the mental benefits, so usually 3-5 drops. In the first couple months the effects were truly mind-blowing. The cognitive enhancements felt like magic. My focus became laser-sharp, and my memory was spot-on, especially my visual recall. The enhancement of my mental-visual abilities was the most amazing change. I've always been a very visual person. If I had an idea, I could picture it much easier than I could explain it. Methylene Blue increased that ability tenfold. Verbalizing my thoughts became much easier as well. Methylene Blue is certainly a verbal lubricant; my words would flow off the tongue almost effortlessly (in a good way). The mental benefits were long-lasting. Methylene Blue is great to cycle on and off since the effects last. The thing that still feels like magic to this day is the motivation I get from a dose of Methylene Blue before a workout. The feeling I get from a large glass of water with honey or maple syrup, Himalayan salt, and Methylene Blue is pure drive. Drive, motivation, inspiration, and feeling like I can take on the world are what the above elixir provides. Not to be confused with energy like caffeine would give, it's a much deeper feeling of drive. It instills a mindset shift of "I'm going to do what I came here to do." 🚨HAPPENING NOW: Leftwing agitators are swarming the University of... Memphis ahead of tonight's campus event with Kyle Rittenhouse, chanting "Lock his a** up" and later "F*** his a** up." The school has gone to incredible lengths to hamstring this event, including: 1 - Forcing us to change our ticketing system the day of the event. The university's excuse is they want to ensure "fair and equitable" ticketing. This means the hundreds of students who thought they had tickets will not get in. This has never happened at one of our events. 2 - Protester groups were somehow tipped off about the school's new ticketing system and the timing of when they'd be made available, allowing them to reserve large numbers of tickets to stage a walk out. We know this because our students are also in those group chats and alerted us. This also has never happened before. 3 - We had thousands of people register for tickets to this event, but the school would only give us a venue with 330 seat. No overflow. No larger venue. 4 - Our chapter president has been doxxed with his number and address published on social media. The campus police and school administrator shrugged their shoulders. 5 - The administration has said they cannot step in or ask protesters to leave if they attempt to disrupt the event or shout down Kyle. 6 - The school has allowed into the event the student that doxxed our chapter president, knowing this person was responsible for the doxxing. 7 - The protestors have entered the event and are taping the names of the people involved in Kyle Rittenhouse’s legal defense. The school is not stopping them. This is what happens when school administrators pander to petulant children. You get chaos. Our brave students will press forward but this is unacceptable, especially in a Tennessee. Happy Tuesday! So far we're quite happy with where... Mel and Warwick landed on the 6 cost side, so for TFT13.4 it's time to get Viktor there. Right now a zero item Viktor is providing far too much power and utility, while an itemized Viktor doesn't feel like its different enough or worth the investment. Even 2* Viktor is the worst of the 2* 6 costs. So let's change that! Viktor will no longer shred and sunder, and the % HP damage part of his spell is going down significantly. However in exchange, the damage is going up a decent amount. An itemless Viktor will do around the same amount of damage as before, but now giving him items will feel much better! This should get Viktor in line with the other 6 costs. And while we were at it, we had to fix what is probably the most annoying issue...the 50/50. Now if both players have a Viktor and neither is interrupted, instead of it being an awkward coin flip, they will now both properly cast and stun everything. Huzzah! HOW WE MAKE OUR TRIPS MAGICAL - Cooking classes.... In Mexico City, our guide took us to the market, then we all made extra-spicy salsa together. This is a beautiful way to visit places you wouldn't know about and get involved in a tactile activity. Perfect for families and older parents and very inexpensive. - The $325 underwear. We'd been traveling for weeks and needed to do our laundry. Our hotel, Aman Kyoto, would have charged $325 for a small bag of laundry (standard price for all ultra-luxury hotels). I said "NO WAY!!!" and we decided to go into town and find a laundromat. It turned into an adventure (as we stumbled into place after place that wasn't quite right -- one lady translated for us and said, "Are you trying to wash your clothes? This isn't the right place. This place restores kimonos"). We finally found a local laundromat, took our best guess if it would work, and went to lunch. Now this is a fun ritual for us every time we travel. Sometimes cheaper is way more fun - We hire a local photographer. We love our memories of our trips and local photographers know the best spots/time to take photos. Find the best ones on Instagram. In Tokyo, we use the same photographer every year - On complex trips, I work with a travel advisor. I used a larger firm for a 6-week trip across multiple continents, which was invaluable: They helped us navigate different transportation, recommended which safari lodges to visit (and in what order), and even suggested where to economize & where to splurge. Sometimes I know exactly where I want to go so I call a more surgical travel advisor. In the video, he got our NYC hotel triple-upgraded. Or sometimes I just do it myself. TAs are especially helpful for Disney trips, honeymoons, and multi-generational trips. (They also cost you nothing, but you should look into how they work. I find them very valuable) - 1 major activity every two days. The ultimate luxury is time, so we have a rule: 4+ days in any location. We also book 1 major thing (food tour, museum, etc). The rest of the time, we've pinned a bunch of stuff and we wander where we feel like that day - We know exactly what we DON'T want to see. When I'm attending a private tour, I tell them what I want to experience and what I'm not interested in. Most tour guides will take you to the usual hotspots because it's safe and people can say they saw X or ate Y. I know exactly what I want to see. For example, on a coffee tour, I told them the exact kind of beans I wanted to try and what I was not into. People in hospitality love someone who knows what they want!! This level of intentionality means you get to experience magic (it's not rude) I travel several months per year and I want my travel to be incredibly meaningful for my loved ones and me. Now look at the color of this thing. How would you describe it? May I say it has the color of the pyramids? Hell yeah! Why? BTW: this is just the binder. Add original, natural limestone and fossils and you’ll en up with “natural” limestone. (With a bit of potassium residue.) Any questions? The secret recipe maybe? Anyone interested? Here you go: 1. Burn 🔥 everything around you and collect the wood ash 2. Burn natural limestone (calcination) to produce quick lime Steps 1. and 2. can be combined into one step. 3. Make wood ash lye the traditional way, by dripping drip 💧 water on wood ash and collecting the water that went through the ash. Any vessel will do but an oak barrel is the traditional way doing it. I used a plastic bucket with holes at the bottom. The wood ash lye is mostly KOH and K2CO3. What we need is CaCO3. We need to change the letter K to letters Ca. We’ll do it by adding the letters Ca to the liquid. 4. Add quick lime (CaO) or hydrated lime, slaked lime (Ca(OH)2) to the lye until it stops bubbling in vinegar. (We badly miss a decent video at this point, Marcell!!!) 5. Add (or don’t add) fossils = natural limestone rubble to the mix, stir well 6. Get rid of of the excess liquid through a nub Now any expert can tell you that this will never make a stone because of two reasons: 1. Billions of years and 2. High pressure are needed Well, no. The first point is just total nonsense, and although the second has something in it, it is false. Virtually ANY pressure will make it, including my current technique of squeezing it in a kitchen cloth. I’m not kidding. No pressure- no stone, that is correct. But only a minimal level of pressure, using my bare hands is enough to push the freshly made CaCO3 molecules close enough for crystallization (calcit) to begin. And here we are.show more

Let's cut to the chase: Mizuki.exe is real. I'm not much for politics or drama. I'm an engineer at heart - I like data, I like building things, and I like solving problems. So when I see all these hot takes and arguments flying around, I just focus on what I know: my code, my system, and what we're trying to achieve. The Real Story Mizuki didn't just pop up overnight. She's been my passion project since the start of 2024. I got lucky - I had the chance to dive into the AI world with some incredibly smart people. Coming from blockchain, C#, game dev, and security (yeah, I'm a CTO and run another company alongside a pretty cool day job), I learned fast about what makes AI tick. Here's the thing about AI agents - they don't need to be rocket science. Look at chatbots like Virtuals or Eliza - they're basically LLMs (large language models) with some APIs plugged in. Nothing wrong with that! They built what works for their users, and that's awesome. But here's what keeps me up at night: companies leaking data left and right just to make a quick buck. That's not okay, and it shouldn't be okay with you either. Why Mizuki Exists Ever tried auditing a company's code? We're talking 50 classes, 500,000 lines of code. One person doing that manually? It's like reading War and Peace... backwards... in the dark. It takes forever and fries your brain. That's where Mizuki came in. She started as my security buddy. There are tons of security tools out there - just Google "penetration testing tools" or "ZAP proxy" if you're curious. What makes Mizuki special is how she learns and adapts. Mizuki runs on a local server because, let's be honest, running this kind of AI on a web server would be a nightmare. Instead, we process everything locally and send the results to a frontend server. I've adjusted it so much, Mizuki's probably got mood swings now - going from super technical to pretty chill and back again. Wow. WOW. WOOOOOOOW. So um, that first Wildcard+Thousands stream... was... *amazing* and also... a *lot* 😅 In the end, it was *exactly* what we were hoping for - a true stress test of ALL these systems coming together for the first time. We are SO grateful for the thousands of people who showed up today to play, attend, tune-in and help us PLAYTEST all this new stuff. We can't wait to see you all again at NEXT WEEK'S EX2 EVENT! So, now let's talk about how it went... Stuff that worked: - Our community SHOWED UP. Oh boy did you show up 😅. Our servers were straining under the load... which is good actually, in fact it's the whole point. Even more importantly, we have already received insanely valuable feedback, bug reports, stuff people loved/hated - and it's only been a few hours since the stream ended. I can't even explain to y'all how valuable this process is. Yes it's stressful, it reminds me of trying to keep Words With Friends online during that first insane year, but it's EXACTLY what we were hoping for (NEED) to turn this into the polished, top-notch game and streaming experience we are on a mission to deliver. I truly can't thank y'all enough, and hope to see you again when we run it all back again next week 🥹 - The stream itself stayed up and was mostly stable! Phew 😅. For context, ThousandsTV is not a twitch wrapper, it's a web3-native streaming tech stack built we built specifically to connect game, web/mobile, and blockchain together all at the same time. There are a LOT of moving pieces going on behind the scenes. - We brought viewers INTO THE GAME! Viewers showed up in the stands of the arena, with connected wallets/assets, triggered actions/rallies from chat, and were seen and heard during the whole stream. - The brand new 2v2 build of Wildcard was (mostly) stable and our players and viewers seemed to be having a blast down on the field and up in the stands. It was thrilling to watch Team Blue dominate, even though Team Red held their own in game 3! - Our production crew did an insanely good job running the stream, managing the players, shoutcasters, and talent, and producing a top-notch show. Of course we will work hard to make every stream better than the last, but I was super proud of how our team "rolled with the punches" during today's event. Stuff that didn't work (and/or needs to be dramatically improved): - Although it's fun to see chat going crazy, chat spam is actually something we are passionate to FIX. As you can see from the attached video, chat spam dominated today's stream and made it impossible for anyone to even see anyone else's messages. We have some GREAT ideas for how to fix this and actually turn chat spam into a FUN and exciting and not annoying thing - but those improvements didn't get shipped in time for this event. - Credits purchasing flow needs a LOT of work. As I'm sure y'all know, bringing money on chain is pretty complicated, and although we've been working hard to make this as seamless as possible, it still needs a TON of improvements. Many users who WANTED to spend money today weren't able to and/or ran into frustrating bugs in the credit purchase flow. Fixing this is obviously a top priority for our team. - Rallies need a LOT of work. Spectator-interactive features like rallies are at the heart of our vision for Wildcard. These "stream apps", as we call them, are the UNLOCK for how spectators, viewers and fans directly connect and interact with their favorite competitors, content creators, and communities. The current rally feature HINTS at this potential, but it needs to be WAY easier to understand, use, and have fun with. Improvements are ON THE WAY. - Referees were only partially working. Referees are a key innovation of the Thousands platform. They are AI-driven "personalities" (NPCs) that pay attention to everything that's happening in the arena, both on the field and especially in the stands (i.e. in chat, during rallies, etc.) The referees then make "calls" at the end of every match, rewarding users for their engagement and participation. Unfortunately, the referees weren't fully functional and seemed to drop the ball on recognizing everyone's contributions (especially people who showed up holding valuable assets such as Wildpasses in their wallets, and people who boosted those rallies with credits.) What's happening next: 1. We are combing through ALL the logs from the event right now, to make sure we don't miss a SINGLE action that our viewers and fans took during the event, including what they brought in their wallets (i.e. Wildpass holders!), any credits that were purchased, rallies that users engaged with, etc. This information is normally processed by our referees, who then determine dynamically how they're going to distribute $WC awards. We were originally hoping to complete this process and the subsequent airdrops within a few hours after the event, but given the amount of data, we need a bit more time to run these scripts (and airdrops) in batches instead of all at once, and make sure ALL of the data is being included. IMPORTANT: I will keep y'all updated in real-time here on twitter/X as this process is ongoing, and let you know the moment it's complete and all the awards have been distributed (i.e. when to go check your wallets 😎) 2. PLEASE keep sending us your feedback and bug reports. Open a ticket on our Discord and let us know what you loved, what you hated, and especially what we need to FIX. Given the overwhelming response to this event, it will likely take us several days to process everyone's feedback and fix all the bugs, but we WILL NOT REST until every ticket is closed/resolved.
