There’s two kinds of traders. The one that is... able to walk away and the one that revenge trades. Overtrading kills more accounts than anything else. I used to be this way, getting angry that price wasn’t going my way and pushing the button again and again until I blew up all my accounts. It takes a lot of inner work, but believe me it’s worth it to work on not just your strategy and executions, but your mental game as well. Being able to walk away from the screen before it’s too late is a real skill set to work on. Don’t be the guy that revenge trades. Strategies that worked for me: 1. Writing down my game plan at the start of the morning. As long as I followed my plan, it’s a win. 2. Having pictures of family on my trading desk. Trading for others and not just yourself is important, it keeps you grounded. 3. Having alarms go off on my phone at the end of the session to bring me back to reality and remind me to walk away.show more

My anti-low back pain ‘protocol’. It’s not unique. But... I’ve been doing it for a very long time. It keeps my back relatively calm and severe episodes at bay. It won’t help everyone. But it’s certainly worth a try. It helps many. Start with no weight. Double and single leg. Single leg add a useful rotational component. Start with both legs and no weight. I do everything regarding my podcast, from sourcing guests,... scheduling, researching material, recording, editing, audio, visual, artwork, write ups, publishing, website, substack, and social media. But I've always been like that. As a surgeon, I used to never sit in the coffee room between cases. I would clean up and mop the floor (blood and bits of bone), lay out the instruments, collect the patient, write up the op notes, see the post op, position the x-ray machine, the lights and position the patient correctly on the table. This way, I would operate on 8 patients in a day, unlike my colleagues who managed 5 at best. This is the same efficiency and productivity I've brought to my podcasting. Nuke isn’t just for finishing shots, it’s in fact... extremely useful for overall Look-dev. You can push renders way further without constantly re-rendering. Testing lighting, color, and atmosphere becomes fast and flexible, letting you focus on creativity instead of waiting on heavy scene updates. All renders, particles, volumes, destruction passes can be fine-tuned, layered, and balanced directly in comp. This means faster iterations, and more granular control over the final shot. Nuke and compositing is not just the last step in production, I really believe it's part of the whole process.show more
