Just two months ago, we were on the verge... of letting go of a customer that we had been serving for more than two years. The prices were super competitive as they were procuring these springs from China. According to our cost calculations, we would have to sell them these springs at our breakeven price point. We would not be making any profit from their orders. The volumes were huge and we decided to take up the challenge. In manufacturing, one of the very important metric that your product cost depends on is cycle time. The speed at which we are able to process that part within the desired tolerance. Higher the speed at which you can manufacture, lower the cost of making that component. We could only manage 150 pcs/minute on our imported machines. At this speed, it was unviable for us. It would only make sense for us to continue if we were somehow able to manufacture this spring at a minimum of 200 pcs/minute. We were far apart and it seemed we wouldn’t be able to reach that goal. We were on the verge of giving up after two years of persistent effort in increasing our speed. Today, we manufactured that same spring on the CNC machines that we built in-house at a whopping 220 pcs/minute! We went from almost letting go off that customer to now asking that very same customer to increase our order volumes! First video is our imported machine at 150 pcs/minute. Day 23 - well that hurt a lot The... hike from BC to camp 1 - what a monumental day - one of the hardest sessions in my life We awoke at midnight, had ‘brekkie’ at 12.30am, and we were pretty much gone by 1.30am The icefall is like a big Jungle Jim set, with constant overhanging danger - for the most part it is quite good fun, but there are not many places that you can stop safely to rest. I was so busy that I did not get the camera out once, despite the fact that some of the photo opportunities were incredible When you get to the top of the icefall, there are a number of sheer walls that need to be jumar’ed up and this is where the first sense of false security set in - all of us thought that we were nearing the end of the day and that the tents of camp 1 were not too far off. Big bloody mistake - whilst the terrain looks gently undulating, it is cleaved by whopping big crevasses and gullies, which inevitably means you have to go down to come back up. Some of the ice walls we had to climb were at least 10m and there were multiples of them The video below show just how tired we were as we crawled into camp 1 (9:30mins later, 850m altitude gained). We took a short drive on the road along... the river by our home this morning. As you can see, a bit overgrown due to cattle! This is exact same land on which we used to be able to see a herd of impala at 200 meters at this time of year, in the days before we began managing holistically. Now we could not see one at one meter. And this is what we are seeing following now over twenty years of poor rainfall. The river this year already drier than ever known. If only…….show more

So we wanted to also share one last thing.... One of the things we pride ourselves on is trying to get people to care about us soccer and the us national teams. In whatever form that takes our job is to help grow this fan base. As an example… We lost sound the entire game tonight at one of our parties and the fans stayed the entire 90 mins and anthems with no sound. Body to body singing the whole damn time. And our other watch party had a mile line long to get in. These things don’t just happen it takes a ton of work. So sometimes we will post things to try and get someone on the fence to go ok ya I want to go to that. And sometimes we will post other things.
