One UI 7 animation test when opening & closing... apps rapidly. Some people said this test is important, and I can see why. Some said it is useless, and I can also see why. But Samsung did a really nice job here. The stable version is going to look awesome on the Galaxy S25 Ultra.show more

One UI, including One UI 8.5, has a long-standing... issue with the back gesture: lag. My finger moves, but the animation lags and doesn't follow the finger's response. This puts it behind all other OSes. Comparing One UI 8.5 with vivo's OriginOS5 and OriginOS6 reveals that Samsung's gesture response is the slowest, and I haven't been able to resolve the issue with Home Up. Samsung needs to optimize this. Another problem is that the icons in Samsung's animation are too ugly when they are shrunk. The icons are forcibly stretched to cover the page. Samsung borrowed this from OriginOS 5 at the time, but vivo fixed the problem in OriginOS6, and Samsung One UI 8.5 still has no improvement.show more
