Bomb strike should have uprooted it in very first instance. 📍An injured patient evacuated from Rehab Center gave a statement in hospital soon after the incident, where he said that explosion occurred 200 M from Rehab Center. It perfectly matches layout of the target area, where struck workshop is located at same distance from the Rehab Center. 📍How can 400 male adults be killed from fire breaking out in single storey barracks, with windows and multiple exits available in each barrack. In-fact barracks were occupied only by few dozen people, not 2000 as Taliban would like the world to believe. All were able to escape, except few who were directly hit by burning explosives falling from the sky. 📍Taliban were using same compound for storing explosives, ammunition, manufacturing armed drones and running a Drugs Rehab Center. 📍Taliban Regime either lacked capacity to put out the fire or intentionally allowed the fire to rage to accrue propaganda benefits. Similar, preposterous claims were made during Lal Masjid operation in Islamabad in 2007, where terrorists spread propaganda that 1500 girls students had been killed. Military officials say that the IAF is carrying out constant air operations over Iran to thwart ballistic missile fire on Israel, using new techniques that allow for longer operations without the need for refueling. Devastating scenes near First Street tonight as an iconic... piece of Manchester’s history, The Hotspur Press building, has gone up in flames. Built on Gloucester Street by the banks of the River Medlock, it was thought to be Manchester’s oldest surviving mill. Originally a cotton mill known as Medlock Mill - itself a casualty of fire in 1801 - it was rebuilt and later purchased in 1902 by the Percy Brothers who turned it into a printing press responsible for publishing periodicals, classic film magazines and comics of the era. It was later home to a number of Manchester based artist studios for around a decade. After closure, due to leaks and safety issues in 2017, it sat empty until a planning application to regenerate Hotspur Press was unanimously approved by Manchester City Council in May 2024. However, it was subsequently delayed following an application to list the building and the redevelopment was paused while new plans were drawn up. Tonight, neighbouring flats have been evacuated and 20 fire engines from across Greater Manchester have been battling the blaze at the scene, with multiple jets and the air unit in use to prevent the spread of the fire. This means in large areas of their jurisdictions, especially in the northern part of the country, wildfires are left to run there natural course w little or no direct action or suppression. We’ll protect values at risk, ie. infrastructure, communities, critical habitat or culturally significant features on the landscape, we’ll map them and maybe try to burn them to natural barrier, fight one flank and let the rest roll (limited action) but we are not putting them out. On many of the fires we don’t even try. A number of these fires are huge boreal gobblers (I am currently assigned to a 250,000 ha fire, well over 600,000 acres and you could fit the org. chart on one side of a beer can). The only thing that is going to put out this fire out and many across the country is winter, 5 months from now. It’s going to be a long, smoky summer for everyone. You have a wide reach, it would be great if you can help people understand these dynamics in the Canadian wildfire scene when they’re bitching about the smoke. BAPCO Energies confirmed on April 5 that a storage... tank at its Sitra facility in Bahrain caught fire “as a result of a hostile Iranian drone attack.” The fire was extinguished. No injuries. Damage under assessment. That is the official statement, repeated verbatim across Bahrain News Agency, Gulf News, Al Arabiya, and Xinhua. It is clean, attributable, and consistent with the pattern of Iranian drone and missile strikes on Gulf energy infrastructure that has continued daily since February 28. Then the videos appeared. Footage circulating on social media, shared by Drop Site News and multiple Arabic-language accounts, appears to show two sequential impacts at the facility: one from the incoming drone, and a second moments later from what the accounts describe as a Patriot interceptor missile that failed to intercept the drone and instead struck the oil storage tanks directly. The videos have not been independently verified. The trajectory analysis has not been forensically confirmed. BAPCO’s statement does not mention air defence involvement. The Bahrain Defence Force reported 13 successful drone interceptions in the preceding 24 hours and made no acknowledgement of a misfire. This has happened before. On March 9, an explosion near BAPCO in Sitra injured dozens and was attributed to an Iranian drone. It was struck again on April 5 by what officials call a drone and what videos suggest may have also involved an interceptor. Three incidents in five weeks at the same facility. No force majeure was declared for April 5. The fire was contained rapidly. But the question the videos raise is not about this fire. It is about what happens when Patriot systems engage small, slow, low-altitude drones in saturated airspace directly above the infrastructure they are positioned to protect. Iran does not need to penetrate the shield. It needs to force the shield to fire in conditions where the shield’s own projectiles become the threat. 🚨It’s 2:30 a.m. in Tehran, and here are my... 12 key observations from Day 15 of Iran’s protests (January 11): 1️⃣ On the fifteenth day of protests in Iran, following the fourth nationwide call by Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, demonstrations and strikes continued across multiple parts of the country. A strike by truck drivers and shopkeepers in Shiraz began on Sunday morning. At the same time, people took to the streets in several cities, including Tehran, Bandar Abbas, Abdanan, and Shahsavar. Crowd sizes in Tehran remain notable and significant, but smaller than yesterday. 2⃣ Late last night, Iran International confirmed that at least 2,000 people have been killed in Iran—a figure described as conservative. At the same time, horrifying new videos and images emerged showing families of the victims gathered at forensic medicine centers, with hundreds of bodies laid on the ground. The scale of the killings has plunged Iranian society into deep shock and collective mourning. 3⃣ Following the release of these images, regime state media and officials implicitly acknowledged the occurrence of mass killings—without providing figures—while attempting to deflect responsibility. They claimed the bodies were “left behind by rioters” and denied the government’s role. Simultaneously, President Masoud Pezeshkian, the regime’s so-called reformist president, alleged that protesters had beheaded people and burned them alive. 4⃣ Field reports indicate large gatherings in Tehran neighborhoods including Punok, Shahrak-e Beheshti, Saadat Abad, Ashrafi Esfahani, and Pirouzi. In Tehran, protesters reportedly renamed a square from the name of Khomeini’s grandson to Pahlavi. 6⃣ Iran’s internet shutdown remains in place. According to NetBlocks, more than 72 hours after the blackout began, national connectivity is still at around 1% of normal levels. Due to the outage, information is emerging slowly and with delay, and very few reports are reaching the outside world from smaller cities. 7⃣ Coinciding with the fifteenth day of Iran’s national uprising, solidarity rallies by Iranians abroad continued in hundreds of cities across Europe, the United States, Canada, and elsewhere worldwide, in support of the Iranian people and Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi. These demonstrations, however, received limited coverage in major Western media outlets. 8⃣ Judiciary Chief Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei once again instructed prosecutors to show “no leniency” toward protesters. He further stated that authorities should even pursue individuals who have taken ambiguous or non-committal positions on the protests. At the same time, the head of Iran’s police announced that the crackdown has entered a new phase, while regime media reported widespread arrests in multiple cities. 9⃣ Despite widespread public outrage over the killing of protesters, the regime declared three days of public mourning for several of its own slain security personnel. In parallel, the Islamic Propaganda Coordination Council, the regime’s main propaganda body, called on regime supporters to gather tomorrow at 2:00 p.m., carrying Qurans and condemning the protesters. 🔟Internationally, as supportive statements from Donald Trump and Senator Lindsey Graham continue, some observers believe U.S. military action is becoming increasingly likely. There is nothing strange about Europe allowing it either, and that is exactly the problem. Europe allows it because Europe has forgotten who it is. A people that remembers what it stands for does not need to ban anything, it simply knows where its own line runs. We have lost that. And so the issue was never them. The issue is us. Now look at what actually moved through the streets. Men in front. Women in the second row. That is not a detail, that is the whole point. It is a view of women set into a system and marched out into the public square, in a city where generations fought for women and men to stand as equals.
