My surgery went well yesterday - thank you everyone... for all the kind words and prayers. I know this corner of ours means it when they say it. Lotta pain, but that's to be expected. Now lemme put a smile on your face: We've done this so many times with old shelter dogs, and the pattern is almost always the same - when they get here, they're usually nervous and quiet; unsure of what is in store and what their life is gonna be like. After being here with me, OBX Dog Walker and the rest of the dogs, they start to relax and be the dog they wanna be; the dog they were or could have been before they were abandoned. Molly was so quiet and reserved when we got her, and now? Yeah. She's right at home, letting me know I need to get off my ass and feed her. Love to see it. And I'm grateful to all of you.show more

Someone sent me these videos yesterday, and they brought... back so many memories for me. At this point in the show, I felt so alone and so angry. I told myself, “I’d rather die than not win this,” especially because of the way everyone was snickering at me when the game started. (We’re all friends now, it’s fine 😂) Imagine how amazing I would have felt if I had known there was someone out there rooting for me this much, hoping to see me win and succeed. I'm laying in my tent reflecting on my life... right now..and I have to say, some would say my life situation of being homeless is a sad thing .. because you see people out there who are addicts and in bad situations .. but mine isn't anything like that. Although I havent had a home in 10 years, I see and feel the blessing. I'm so free in life to live how I want in life. Sure while sometimes I desire a bed to come home too.. I get to have a bed anywhere in life I want. I'm so free to live and explore as I please with nothing to tie me down. If I could share any piece of advice, it is simple do not trade your freedom of life for the chains of society and what they deem how YOU should live. I promise in this day and age you can be so free and make money without anyone there to tell you when to clock in, when to eat lunch, when you can use the bathroom, none of that! All of those people who constantly cry about “cancel... culture” are at it again cancelling a company called Liberty Safe. This comes after they spent months trying to cancel Bud Light. These people will say, “but we are justified,” and they are not. That’s not how this works though. People boycott and “cancel” companies and people when they feel there is a justification to do it. It doesn’t mean that it has to be justified in your mind, but it is in theirs. It’s just so hypocritical to me when people attack others for canceling companies but they go ahead and do the exact same thing themselves. For those who aren't familiar with this story, the Liberty Safe company gave a passcode to the FBI so that they could access a suspected criminal's safe. There was a search warrant issued on the criminal's home where the safe was located. What do you think? Do you support cancel culture? To those who say "it's her choice" I used... to say the same thing about my own Hijab. I was covered head to toe. Even on the beach. Even with my male relatives. And when people challenged me, I said: this is my choice. You know why? Because the other option was burning in hell, hung by my hair for eternity. That's what they taught me since childhood. Yes, let me repeat it for you to just understand about our version of “freedom of choice.” I grew up in an Islamist culture that gave me two options. Cover yourself and go to heaven. Or don't cover, and be hanged by your hair and burned in hell. Like when someone puts a gun to your head and says "you can go left or right", technically, yes, that's a choice. I picked heaven. I don't really like dogs. I am physically challenged... and can't walk properly and they bark at me for different walking. But these days I am becoming more and more fond of them because of them. It all started when their mother was pregnant and my mom used to give her milk every morning and evening. After they were born first they used to come with their mother and now their mother sees them having milk and let them have it. That's the other story but why I am liking them? Because they know my office timings. When I go to office and start my scooty they run from wherever they are and start dancing around my scooty. Then my mother gives them milk and they get to a side and I can go. In the evening they listen to my honking and run from wherever they are and again gather around my scooty trying to play with me. Sometimes I am afraid so that they don't get run over. But as usual milk comes and they get to a side and I can enter my home. Other than my family members they are also waiting for me. And I am loving it 🙂❤️show more

Today is my daughter’s birthday and she truly is... my whole world. When I look at her, I see innocence, hope and a future that deserves to be safe, secure and full of dignity. I never wanted to be the person standing on the frontlines but life gave me no choice. The establishment and the police failed me and they failed so many of you. As a parent, how could I stay silent?
