It's a movement that gets away from a depressed scapula which is common in bodybuilding exercise selection. Overhead shrugs can contribute to shoulder stability, making your shoulder joints more resilient to stress and injury. It forms part of my shoulder health plans. Additionally the upper play a role in neck strength and stability. Strengthening these muscles can help reduce the risk of neck pain and discomfort.
