So... Vertical tabs are out in Chrome. I thought... it would make me switch back to it, I really thought it was the one thing I needed in Chrome. I currently use Dia , but here's the thing. In comparison, the implementation of vertical tabs in Chrome is just awful. It barely changed since I saw it in beta. I thought it would greatly improve during the beta phase, but it did not. So here's everything I dislike about it compared to Dia: 1. It's super laggy. 2. When collapsed, the sidebar moves down, meaning the position of the expand/collapse button shifts down too, making it much harder to find. (I ironically couldn't find the first few seconds of the video specifically because of that) 3. No keyboard shortcut to expand/collapse. 4. Collapsed doesn't move the tabs out of view, they are just tiny. 5. The amount of tabs per line in the grid of pinned tabs is not adjusted depending on the number of tabs. 6. In collapsed mode, all the pinned tabs are now in a column, which can push the actual tabs quite far down. ----- It's just awful. It was built into Chrome as a way to just say "hey we also have vertical tabs!" But the UX is simply awful. This has to be the worst implementation of vertical tabs I've seen so far yet, sadly. I made a nice little customization to the Rigify... rig. Rigify has a setting to switch between "toe-tip roll" and "toe on the ground" ... but it's a property. To bring it to the viewport I set a driver to switch between the two states by scaling of the heel control. Then I created some shapekeys for the shape of the control to make it reflect the state of the foot. Also, there is a dot on the shape which is controlled by another shapekey. I will regret this, but I need to let... it out. After dragrace I have become extra hard on myself and being my biggest critic. In no way do I think that I am THE dragqueen, but I had hoped that by now I could’ve had a more stable agenda due to the effort I had put in. I made sure that I was at every booking with the most positivity, that I was nice to work with, that I looked the part, that I would host, interact with the audience. Every time I had great feedback from the audience, organisers, owners. I invested the last savings I had to make sure that people would see newness. I didn’t go on holidays, so I could spend it on drag so the audience would look at something new, but yet here I am with an empty schedule. It is at this point making me doubt so much more about what I am doing and I am unsure that I can continue like this. This message is by no means a cry for bookings (most of you are from a different country anyway). I just needed to vent or maybe I am missing something idk.
