Today I decided to do a quick comparison with what Al Hajj Aliko Dangote set up in Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria. The numbers humbled me. 🇳🇬 Dangote Refinery: 📐 6,180 acres (2,635 hectares) 🛢️ 650,000 barrels/day 💧 4.74 billion litres storage ⚡ Own 435 MW power plant 🇰🇪 KPRL (Mombasa): 📐 378 acres (~150 hectares) 🛢️ 80,000 barrels/day (designed) 💧 484 million litres storage 🚫 Refining ceased in 2013 Dangote's site is 16× larger. Let that sink in. Now here's what really caught my attention — the debate is on Tanga vs Mombasa as Mama Suluhu meets Dangote today.
