I was 11 years old when I got this... PSP 3000 for Christmas back in 2008, and it absolutely blew my mind. FIFA, FlatOut, Iron Man, GTA, and many other games… so many hours, so many great memories. Back then I didn’t even have a modern phone, so the PSP was more than just a gaming handheld for me. I used it to browse the internet, watch movies, and I even remember how awkward it was trying to chat with friends on social media using it. 😄 18 years later, I still have it. It still works. And every time I hold it, it instantly takes me back to those carefree days. The PSP will always be one of the most nostalgic handhelds ever made. ❤️show more

This might be the most terrifying-looking military aircraft ever... built 😱 The new Japanese XEC-2 "Platypus" looks more like a sci-fi villain than an aircraft. If the goal was to make something absolutely terrifying, they nailed it. I bet those giant side pods (“tumours”) are packed with every piece of cutting-edge electronic warfare hardware imaginable. I've been terribly sad about GoLemon shutting down. For... the past two years, I haven't had to go to the market for my bulk grocery shopping. Even during Christmas, I'd order foodstuff from them to take to my parents too. They made my life so much easier. Sure, I had disagreements with their customer service sometimes, but my experience with them was largely good and they always did their best make it right. The last time I ordered from them, I complained about the pepper and they brought a new batch. The person who got in touch with me, Yinka, was incredibly warm and kind. GoLemon was a beautiful company that solved a real problem I lived with every month. It is clear their founders gave their all. I wish the team all the best in their future endeavours. First time back at Babbo since Starr took over,... last time I was here Mario Batali was still at the helm. Started with the Tagliatelle Tartufi with fresh Tuscan white truffles paired with the 2011 Barolo Renzo Seghesio, 'Ginestra.’ I’ve had Tagliatelle Tartufi at numerous high end Italian places in NYC, this was my least favorite, the best? Santi hands down. Babbo’s version seemed to still be swimming in Pasta Water, and not a lot of flavor. While the pasta was good not great, the Barolo exceeded my expectations. Followed with their 100 Layer Lasagne with parmigiano-reggiano crema, bolognese, Pugliese tomato marinara. Last time I had this was at Mario’s Del Posto. The portion at Babbo is family style for 4ppl, presentation is amazing. Was probably the only dish I remember loving at Del Posto, and was better here, by a ways! Paired tonight with the 2010 Brunello di Montalcino Mulinari, 'L'Aietta.’ Both the wine and Lasagna 10/10. Pure indulgence and flavor 💣! A must have. Currently my favorite lasagna in #NYC. Vibe and energy still very much as it was under Mario. I felt the service was better, friendlier, than prior, and food quality very similar maybe a little better than my prior visit. Fun place with a group, lots of energy and “vibe.” Overall, a better experience today than prior, and would come back with a larger group to explore more of the menu and their large list of Italian wines more fully. If you typically stream with a 3D model, I... highly recommend that you pose your model when you’re not doing full body mocap instead of letting it stay in the stiff generic pose! It makes a huge difference in how your energy is conveyed (ᗒ⩊ᗕ)⸝ި ʕᦏ⌎ I’m only saying this because I noticed this a lot with my own 3D kids, but here’s a comparison showcase: ← default pose & default pendulum physics in Warudo → custom poses & slightly adjusted pendulum physics If you find it hard to pose within Warudo by using bone offsets or none of the existing poses in Warudo vibe with you, you can make your own like me! I made my custom poses in “VRM Posing Desktop” (this is the BEST vrm posing app I’ve ever used in the past 3 years) and exported them as Unity anims then dropped them into Warudo’s animation folder! You can then make a simple blueprint in Warudo to toggle between poses and make your model look more alive! It should fit especially well for just chatting streams 🙂‍↕️✨show more

I've been pondering something... My end goal with my... city simulator is to publish it on Steam. I was planning on using Three.js for prototyping and then porting this over to Unity to take advantage of ECS/Burst. But then I realized I could probably port all of the simulation code from TypeScript to Rust if I wanted to make it ultra-fast. And then I can continue to use Three.js for the renderer and then embed it into an Electron app. Is that a dumb idea? What pitfalls are there with this approach? Curious what people's experience publishing games using Electron has been.show more

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure continues to suffer from the heaviest... technical difficulties yet. I went on the attraction for the first time 2 months ago today, and it was one of the happiest moments of my life, yet these issues can’t be ignored. My 26th ride last night was the worst state I’ve ever seen it in, and it’s operating in an even worse state today, with the Audio-Animatronics figures freezing and resetting while Guests were riding. I love this attraction more than any other, yet I’m at the point now where I’m even having a hard time enjoying it when my favorite parts of it aren’t working correctly. This attraction, in my opinion, truly is a joyful celebration when everything is working correctly, yet that’s not reality right now. I’m sad to see it in this state and hope to see the issues addressed immediately so everyone can fully enjoy the beautiful experience that it is.show more

Had the opportunity while in London to work with... a quant on one of my models. Fully 100% mechanical edge over 10 years data. We are still making refinements. This was all done in less than 24 hours as well. One of the coolest experiences I ever had. I remember manually backtesting 6 years data on FX Replay years ago a lot has changed. Diversifying my brand portfolio has allowed me to create... some incredible moments. This weekend, bringing QuavoYRN together with Popeyes at The Surf Lodge in the Hamptons was one of those ideas that made sense immediately. Migos had already made Popeyes part of the culture through the music, so turning that reference into a real brand moment felt full circle. The brand loved it, Quavo was amazing, and the entire experience came together exactly how I imagined it. And casually seeing JAY Z, Beyoncé, and Jennifer Lopez all in one weekend made the moment even more special. Still taking it all in. I’m posting this, why? I really don’t know why.... Other than some idiot told me my leg was f***ed up, looked horrible, that I should wear long pants and should be embarrassed to wear shorts. I turned and quietly walked away. Still, it struck a nerve, it pissed me off. Years ago I took a boat propeller through that knee. I had bilateral tib/fib fractures. Had 13 fractures between the two legs. I had the whole death experience thing. It was a miracle I lived. I was not supposed to keep the leg. They were doubtful I would ever walk again. I spent 4 months in a hospital bed. Did time in a wheelchair. Spent over a year on crutches. Had a cane for a while. There were numerous surgeries. I worked my tail off trying to recover and return to normal. It took many years to get rid of the limp. I now walk without a limp. I run. I bicycle. I snow ski. And some idiot is going to have issue with how my leg looks? Well, that is just too darn bad. Go get a life. I’ll probably delete this in a day or two, but right now I am a bit pissed. Okay, and admittedly a bit bothered by it. It is amazing that it bothered as much as it did. Guess maybe deep inside I was remembering how it used to make me feel when people made fun of me back when I had a limp, and worse yet, how people (yes, strangers) would make fun of me in public when I just starting to walk and had trouble controlling my legs. So, really just venting, shouting into the void. That is all. I am sure I will be okay in the morning.show more

I was eating lunch with some male coworkers when... one of them noticed I had a heating pad on my stomach and asked, “Are you on your period?” I said, “Yeah.” He laughed and said, “Women are so dramatic about a little blood.” I asked, “Would you say that if you were the one bleeding every month?” He said, “Obviously not, because men don’t have to deal with that.” I looked at him and said, “Exactly. Sorry if I did not answer many of you.... I’ve never been a fan of the online eulogy. The immediate fallout is always about loved ones. And we should leave those closest be. And then I realised of course I was just incredibly upset, and a large digital outpouring is inevitable and testament to his character. My devastation came from having to watch it all unfold. From spending years trying to help and actually getting him close to a point where he almost had a normal life again - then being powerless to stop him doing things he should not have. Powerless in every sense as it also meant it sometimes not being my place to say anything. In the end watching some of the evil shits around enable the worst of it was too much for me, I had to step back it was too painful to watch. I told my mate who was filling in for me looking after him “ah I just need some space from it all, I’ll be back with him after Christmas” and then suddenly there was no Christmas. And it turned out no one was to blame, and I immediately looked to blame myself most of all, fearing the worst. But it was a simple accident in the end. A bolt out of the blue. So if you are ever estranged or overwhelmed by friends and family and think it will all be OK one day - DON’T put it off. Reach out now. Grab that person and hold them tight. There may not be a tomorrow. You might not be around to see them off. There may not be the grand luxury of time available you thought there was. He died in the arms of his beloved son, and that is a measure of comfort, if a passing can ever have any. He was my mentor, my friend and my glad burden. And there was nothing I would not do for him.show more
