In doing so, they brainwash a generation and prevent real protection for the women and girls most at risk from the ideology they imported. In the Muslim world there is very little diversity. Minorities are steadily disappearing, along with traces of pre-Islamic civilizations. Islam is fundamentally totalitarian. While Western cultures were built to protect women, Islam treats them as property—selling girls as child brides, forcing them into marriage, and condemning them to lives of suffering and control. Every year, thousands of women are murdered by their families in so-called “honor killings.” In most cases, these murders are not treated as serious crimes because they align with Islamic teachings. This is important because the cells in our body rely on sugar to get energy, but this has to be done in a controlled way. People with diabetes have an issue with insulin specifically. There are many different types of diabetes including gestational diabetes, which is seen in pregnancy, and steroid induced diabetes, which is brought on by medications. The two most well-known types however are type 1 and type 2. What doesn’t cause diabetes is eating too much chocolate! It ranges from your genetics to viral loads and even your vitamin D levels! In 2012, diabetes in total was the direct cause of 1.5 million deaths globally. Often, it can be deadly before you’ve even released you are diabetic! How the Dutertes are trying to divert your attention... There’s a reason why the senators are scared to call out the Dutertes and their allies — because when they do, they will be subject to below the belt, unsubstantiated and relentless online attacks. Because there’s no way to defend the Dutertes in all the issues they’re involved with, just like and how they always do… they are now exerting all the efforts to divert our attention elsewhere. I’m convinced that all these, including meeting with a known political rival, former Vice President Leni Robredo, is just a way for us to stop talking about the issues involving VP Sara, her family and their allies. I have to hand it to the Vice President, she successfully made the news and headlines about her refusal to take an oath, her claims about impeachment and not being friends with the president (who wants to be friends with her anyway). But the truth of the matter is, the House Committee on Good Governance established a lot of crucial facts and so forgive me for pivoting the conversation back to what matters. Although I also watched the hearing in its entirety but how Rep. Rodge Gutierrez in an ambush interview summarized the things we need to worry about the Vice President’s expenditures is worth reading: “When the same justifications are presented year after year for millions of pesos in taxpayer money, it raises serious questions about whether these funds are truly being used as intended or merely being spent without proper oversight. “This repeated pattern opens the door for further audit scrutiny, and it’s only a matter of time before COA issues a formal Notice of Disallowance for the P375 million 2023 budget.” Read more here: I do not know how their supporters would explain the overwhelming links, evidence, witnesses of issues like human trafficking, illegal POGOs, money-related matters, illegal drugs amongst other things. Just to name a few: 1. Atty. Harry Roque who is now in hiding is connected to a lot of things concerning the POGO personalities and companies in question. 2. The Dutertes defended Pastor Apollo Quiboloy who is now facing charges filed against him. Cases of heinous crimes if I may add. 3. The former PCSO General Manager Garma 4. The recently arrested former budget undersecretary Lao 5. Former PNP Chief and now Senator Bato dela Rosa connection to the extrajudicial killings now being investigated in the lower house. 6. Former SAF and now Senator Bong Go (cases filed in courts) I know this is a much much longer list and you can add yours in the comment section if you like. But all these do have documentary evidence and an overwhelming number of witnesses. Before we turn our heads to where the known Duterte social media users are pointing… demand answers to the questions of importance. Why does Mary look younger than Jesus in Michelangelo's... Pietà? The answer is one of the most beautiful in art history... Mary is holding the body of her 33 year old son, but she looks 20. Critics noticed it the moment the sculpture was unveiled in 1499. The mother of a man who has just been crucified would have been in her late forties or early fifties. Michelangelo had carved her as a girl. His own biographer, Ascanio Condivi, was the one who finally asked him why. The answer Michelangelo gave is preserved in Condivi's Life of Michelangelo and has been repeated for centuries: "Do you not know that chaste women stay fresh much more than those who are not chaste? How much more in the case of the Virgin, who had never experienced the least lascivious desire that might change her body?" Most modern critics treat this answer as a half-serious deflection. Michelangelo was famous for his sharp tongue and refused to explain himself to people he considered beneath his intellect. The deeper answer is older, and it lies inside one of the greatest poems ever written. In the final canto of Dante's Paradiso, Saint Bernard of Clairvaux begins his prayer to the Virgin with one of the most extraordinary lines in Italian literature: "Vergine madre, figlia del tuo figlio." "Virgin mother, daughter of your own son." Michelangelo, who knew Dante by heart, was carving that line into stone. Mary is younger than Jesus because Jesus is older than the universe... because she gave birth to her own creator. But there is another reading, simpler than either of those, and it is the one I find myself thinking of today. Every mother who has held her child has held them at every age at once. The infant is still inside the toddler. The toddler is still inside the teenager. The young man on her lap, even dead, is also the boy she nursed and the baby she first carried home. And maybe that's why Michelangelo did not carve Mary as the years had aged her. He carved her as love had kept her: outside of time, outside of grief, holding her son the way she had always held him...
