It's happening! Here's your first look at a movable... taskbar in Windows 11, coming soon. You'll be able to move and resize the taskbar on Windows 11, just like you did on Windows 10! It's still in internal testing, and to be clear, this video is from a virtual machine, which is why it might feel slow. Also, Microsoft won't use the right-click menu we're seeing in the video; it's only being used to quickly debug the feature. What else do you want Microsoft to improve in Windows 11? 👇show more

Windows 11’s June 2026 Patch Tuesday update is out... today, and the biggest change is Performance, not AI. Windows 11 KB5094126 finally brings Microsoft’s new Low Latency Profile to everyone. Microsoft calls it a “General Performance” improvement, but the idea is simple: when you open Start, Search, Action Center, or key shell experiences, Windows briefly pushes the CPU to max frequency for 1–3 seconds so the UI responds faster. I tested it earlier, and the difference is most obvious on budget PCs. Start feels snappier, Search opens faster, and those tiny Windows 11 micro-stutters are reduced. The catch: because of Microsoft’s Controlled Feature Rollout, installing today’s update does not guarantee it is enabled yet. You can verify it with HWiNFO by watching CPU frequency spikes while opening Start.show more

NVIDIA JUST CAME FOR INTEL AND AMD WITH FOUR... NUMBERS Microsoft and NVIDIA posted the exact same tweet at the exact same time - "A new era of PC" and a set of coordinates. The numbers point straight to the Taipei Music Center, where Jensen Huang takes the stage June 1. It is the N1X - NVIDIA's first ever PC processor, and they are finally about to show it. - The N1X is an Arm laptop chip with 6144 CUDA cores, putting its graphics in RTX 5070 territory - Microsoft is building a special Windows 11 version just for this chip - normal PCs do not even get it - NVIDIA has been teasing the N1X since 2023 and ghosted us at Computex 2025 AND CES 2026 - ASUS, Dell and Lenovo already have laptops loaded and ready to launch Three years of rumors. Five corporate accounts posting in sync. One keynote left. The chip that was never real is about to crash the party Intel and AMD have owned for decades.show more

Windows 11 is getting "accelerated app launches," and I... tested it on a PC with just 4GB RAM. Surprisingly, Microsoft Edge now opens much faster when other apps are already running, and Microsoft says this feature will eventually be available to other Windows apps, too! Previously, when Edge was already running in the background and you opened it from the taskbar, Start menu, or a link, Windows would create an extra, temporary process just to tell the existing Edge instance to open. The process would then exit. With the new accelerated launch feature, Windows skips that unnecessary process and sends the request directly to the running instance of Edge. I tested it before and after installing KB5127936 on a Windows 11 virtual machine with a paltry 4GB RAM. Before the update, Edge opened fairly quickly when the PC wasn't doing much, but there was a noticeable delay when Store and Paint were open. After the update, Edge opened surprisingly faster under the same conditions. To be clear, this only improves warm launches, where the app is already running in the background. Opening Edge for the first time after a restart won't benefit from this feature. This feature will also come to other apps, as Windows 11 keeps getting better!show more

Why are Microsoft apps looking better on macOS than... they do on MICROSOFT Windows? 😭show more

Microsoft's hidden Windows 11 trick makes apps launch 70%... faster. I tested it on a low-end PC, and early results are promising. Right now, when you click Start, open File Explorer, launch Edge, or right-click for a context menu, and there’s often that tiny micro-stutter before anything happens. Microsoft is now testing a feature called Low Latency Profile. Once turned on, and you do a high-priority action, Windows 11 briefly pushes the CPU to max frequency for 1–3 seconds, finishes the task faster, then drops back down. In my testing on a constrained VM with just 2 cores and 4GB RAM, the difference was obvious. Edge, Outlook, Copilot, and the Start menu opened much faster. CPU usage spiked to around 96–97%, but only for a few seconds. For high-end PCs, the difference may be small. But for budget laptops and low-end Windows 11 machines, this could be a real game-changer.show more
