While flying I like to track my flight, but... it was slow & ugly so I started building v0⁠ing my own. Some insights: • I started out with test data, but adding an API key & server endpoint to get actual flights was a breeze • I got back 20,000 flights which murdered DOM performance. v0 suggested implementing it as a . With some Grok research help, it shockingly nailed it. Notably, it used an OffscreenCanvas to render the airplane SVG to and subsequently `drawImage` it. It got approximately 100x faster and smoother.show more

The new tracking is holding up well overall; the one issue we hit is that publication counts glitch under peak load. We're already fixing it. Now the hard part. A large share of participants this sprint chose to game the system, and the volume of violations is simply too high to score the board fairly. So here's the call: the entire 1st-place reward pool gets split among ranks 11–50. Breakdown: - Ranks 11–25 → $20 USDC each - Ranks 26–30 → $10 USDC each - Ranks 31–50 → $100 in $CLAR each To make that happen, I'm placing my own account at #1 to hold the pool. we had a great success (high five!) with commissioning... our next iteration on our lightcell energy 🔆 portable dyson sphere heat exchanger / swirl injector (steve upgraded the heat exchange scale) i think what we're seeing here is some of the heat and sodium being regenerated into the input air from the top, swirling down to join the vortex of fuel, injected in the bottom, and then mixing. and secondary flows and combustion occuring in what looks like up to three different regions, with recirculation vortices. cool!! so i made a plate of emergency pasta before we test it again, and start pushing further! and using it to guide our next designsshow more
