A $5B fund needs $1B exits to move the needle, while a $50M fund returns the fund on a $100M exit. The top-decile 2024 PE returns (71.70%) came from concentrated bets, while diversified portfolios got the median. Mega-funds literally can't run 15-name portfolios because the math doesn't clear. 2. Founder access at seed. A $5B fund can't write $500K seed checks. The economics don't work and the LP base wouldn't tolerate it. Emerging managers can. Here’s my take... ⤵️⤵️ For context — this is me cleaning 295 lbs at 167 lbs body weight and I credit my abilities in the weight room largely for helping my collegiate career flourish the way it did However… We can’t lift at the expense of speed training and development What that means is when we enter the weight room we can’t do so with blinders on acting as if the only thing in the world that matters is that weight training session or improving your 1RM YES… you need force to move your body through space YES… that force needs to be high relative to your body weight BUT… you must be a skilled mover to apply said force in the right positions, at the right times, with the right vectors for it to mean anything While important to holistic athletic development, we’ve got to stop acting like strength is the ultimate differentiator in speed Lot of “weak” athletes will blow your doors off in sprints Lot of “strong” athletes get folded in speed & power sports Go into the weight room with the idea that you’re complementing your speed and athletic development… not superseding it If your legs are so beaten and broken down from lifting heavy you can’t train for 2-3 days without excessive risk, you’re doing it all wrong. Driving in Europe is simply a delight, I am... badly madly in love with their roads, well maintained rental cars and the god level driving sense. 0 horn, driving is so effortless that I have driven 500+ km in last 24 hours and don’t feel a bit of it. No random breaking, while on the fast lane if you get closer to the car in-front (closer in europe means a space where in India another 6 cars, 2 auto and 10 motorcycles will fit in) the car will automatically change lanes for you to pass. Indicators everywhere, I still remember last time I did a 500 km tour in India my blood vessels and life, everything were threatened 🫣🥴 Roads have all the signs throughout be it village or highway.
