XDC Network's answer is the subnet, a permissioned chain the customer wholly owns, running the same consensus engine as mainnet. A relayer, a small program bridging the two, periodically checkpoints the subnet's consensus data to a smart contract on xdce-crowd-sale:native mainnet, which verifies and records each snapshot. Only block headers cross over, the compact summaries identifying each block rather than its contents. The transactions themselves never appear on the public chain, per XDC's documentation.
