My son’s one good kidney is failing. Please pray... for Caleb’s transplant surgery. As of this last appointment we are officially in the process of scheduling Caleb’s kidney transplant. This will be Caleb’s 6th surgery in his 3 years on this earth, and by far the most serious. He has some rather complicated complications that heighten the possibility of rejection among other issues. You can specifically be praying that his bladder (which has not been connected or functioning since his first major surgery) actually functions properly and doesn’t end up damaging his new kidney. My wife and I are consistently tempted to Fear and anxiety for our son’s future, but God has remained faithful in comforting us and giving us faith in his redemptive promises. My sister has been battling cancer for the longest... time, and we didn’t even know until the biopsy gave us the diagnosis. As she lost so much weight, people stigmatized her, saying she had HIV/AIDS. There were days when our laughs and smiles were lesser, and the crying was more. She even had to stop sewing because of the pain. Cancer has taken a lot from Lauretta, but it hasn’t taken her smile or her strength to fight. And that’s why I’m not giving up either. Kidney stones are hard deposits made of minerals and... salts. While smaller stones often pass naturally through hydration, larger or more stubborn stones require medical intervention to be cleared. ​Here are the 4 primary methods used by doctors: ​1. Shock Wave Lithotripsy (SWL): This is the most common non-invasive treatment. A machine uses high-energy sound waves (shock waves) to create strong vibrations. These vibrations break the large stone into tiny "dust" or sand-like pieces that can then be passed through urine. ​2. Ureteroscopy: For stones located in the ureter or kidney, a doctor may use a thin, flexible scope. The scope is passed through the bladder and up into the ureter. I’m heartbroken. I don’t have many words other than... to say I’m truly devastated and deeply sorry to everyone who showed up to the main stage, and to those watching the livestream at home. Backpack's recent update was incredible. They didn't push any... new features (or at least none that I noticed), but it just made the overall experience so much better and smoother. It's a good lesson for everyone who obsesses over adding new features all the time. Most of the time, making the existing product more user-friendly is far more important. I personally use Backpack for the basic things like holding assets, swapping, using apps, and connecting hardware wallets. While it's great that the wallet has stocks, trending assets, and all these other features now, honestly, I couldn't care less about most of them. But as a user, I do care about the core experience being fast, simple, and easy to use, and the basic things I use it for to just be better. Oftentimes, founders obsess over new features to acquire more users and forget the existing ones using the product. Which is also why a good retention rate >>> new users that may or may not stick. Today we visited Power at 3 PM. The vets... informed us that she didn't eat anything during the night, so they started an intravenous drip with fluids (saline/water) to keep her hydrated. Even during our visit she did not wanna eat anything, but we did manage to give her a solid 45 minutes of pure cuddles. We also received the three invoices covering the Operation that she will get on monday, daily hospitalization costs plus the full ultrasound they gave her. (and I'll upload them to the main GoFundMe page). The Veterinary confirmed that the operation will be an exploratory laparoscopy with a micro camera to see what's going on and there will be no actual removal of the mass just a biopsy of a small part of the tissue and lymph node to get analized. and that they will need to make a second surgery when her clinical situation get more clearer to get the mass removed and start the chemo. Sadly we have not yet a quote for those. Power will also get a gastric tube to make feeding her easier. With that, she will be able to come home to us wednesday while we wait for the removal surgery.
