Brooklyn: Fulton Street & Flatbush Avenue, a disturbance broke... out inside a McDonald's store after a heated situation began to escalate inside the restaurant. When the security guard tried to handle the situation, one woman allegedly threatened to slap the guard and then proceeded to assault him. The guard reacted by pushing her away, causing her to fall onto the floor. A second woman, her friend, stepped in and tried to fight the guard as well. She was also pushed back during the chaos. This happened at country pop star Morgan Wallen’s concert... Friday night in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A fan handed her phone to a security guard. The security guard was standing with her face to the crowd and her back to the stage and was filming Morgan. Morgan comes over and crouches down and gives the phone camera a look, walks away, then comes back and grabs the phone out of the security guard’s hands and then turns around and chucks the phone off the stage. A lot of people are upset with Morgan, I get it, but many people pointed out that the security guard wasn’t doing her job. They said when you sign up for the job, the job entails making sure that you are enforcing no videoing. Reflecting back on R A V E N’s first... WNBA preseason game with the Indiana Fever I found myself impressed with the way she carried herself in such a big moment of her career. Body language says a lot. She was locked in during warmups, cheering on her teammates all game, running to her position, encouraging her teammates, handling the point guard position with ease, defending, dishing out the ball and always had a listening ear to her vets and coaches. Anyone who has ever seen my sister Hope Renners... play basketball, volleyball or any other sport always says the same thing to me every single time...."Wow, your sister Hope is so intense!" Yes she is....and she is always enthusiastic and intense about literally everything! Hope is such a force of nature and I've never met anyone who is a better or more loyal friend/teammate or who is more driven, coachable and always has positive and resourceful energy! My "little" (or should I say younger) sister Hope started her own Twitter account today and I want to be the first to say how incredible impressed and proud I am of her for being such an extraordinary sister, person and athlete. Hope is 100% pure DAWG and she will never stop and will never give up. Here are a few things she has done this past year: she led her 8th grade basketball team to a CYO Championship win, won the Washington State Free Throw Championship, made 9 3-pointers in a row, is squatting 150 pounds for 10 reps, played club basketball and club volleyball at a very high level, dunked a tennis ball on a 9'3" hoop and is 100% committed to dunking a basketball on a 10-foot hoop very soon! Hope is 6'1", has and can play all 5 positions and is still growing a lot! Her AAU basketball team is Team Walton which is run by Talia Walton, former WNBA and University of Washington star who is an exceptional coach and incredible person. I included a few photos and a video and I especially like the pic of Hope diving on the floor because it really shows her spirit and love of competing and she always seems to end up with every loose ball, rebound and 50-50 ball.
